Unveiled Monday, the 2025 décor transforms the historic residence into a vivid expression of the season’s spirit, with displays honoring motherhood, foster care, and the enduring sense of home that defines the American experience.

“The constant movement has taught me that home is not merely a physical space; rather, it is the warmth and comfort I carry within, regardless of my surroundings,” Trump said in her announcement. “This Christmas, let’s celebrate the love we hold within ourselves, and share it with the world around us. After all, wherever we are, we can create a home filled with grace, radiance, and endless possibilities.”

A focal point of the design is the “Fostering the Future Red Room,” created in collaboration with designer Hervé Pierre. The room’s blue butterflies — symbols of renewal and transformation — honor foster families, a cause Trump has championed since 2021. Pierre also produced a limited-edition tour booklet for visitors, serving as both an artistic guide and a keepsake of the season.

The residence glows with traditional holiday details: 75 signature wreaths adorn the windows, each tied with a classic red bow. Inside, visitors encounter more than 50 Christmas trees, 700 feet of garland, 25,000 feet of ribbon, and 10,000 decorative butterflies — a visual celebration of grace and hope.

In the Blue Room, an 18-foot concolor fir from Sidney, Michigan, serves as the official White House Christmas Tree. Adorned with golden stars and ornaments depicting each U.S. state and territory’s bird and flower, it honors Gold Star families and the sacrifices of America’s fallen service members.

The East Room features patriotic red, white, and blue arrangements in anticipation of the nation’s upcoming 250th anniversary, while the Green Room displays two presidential portraits assembled from over 6,000 puzzle pieces each, encouraging visitors to reflect and connect through shared creativity.

The State Dining Room houses the annual gingerbread display — this year a 120-pound recreation of the South Portico, offering a glimpse into the Yellow Oval Room. Nearby, the Grand Foyer includes a restored section of the historic White House Crèche, a longstanding symbol of the holiday’s spiritual heritage.

From the sparkling Blue Room tree to the intimate handmade details throughout the halls, Melania Trump’s 2025 Christmas theme underscores a simple but enduring message: the heart of the nation — and of every home — is found in its people, its values, and its shared traditions.
