獨家小水鴨真悠閑

去年十二月初到日本，秋天已經接近尾聲。我們第一站去打卡的地方是輕井澤。聼酒店的服務員介紹說附近的雲場池的景色不錯，只是可惜那裏的楓葉已經掉的七七八八了。雖然有些遺憾，我們還是去走一趟。
到了雲場池，看到水面上有不少鴨子，有的在覓食，有的在岸邊休息或梳理羽毛。從來沒有想過看鴨子在水裏悠游自在的游來游去也能是個很療愈的過程，看著它們時而互相追逐，時而潛到水裏覓食，時而在岸邊的木頭上靜靜的梳理自己的羽毛，還真的讓人身心愉悅。
這組照片裏的是一種身形比較嬌小的河鴨叫小水鴨也叫綠翅鴨，雄性的鴨子臉上有一片逗號形狀的色塊，看起來好像戴著眼罩。還有它們的翅膀上都有幾片綠色的羽毛。
下來天氣會越來越冷，相信再沒多久這些鴨子就要南遷去過冬了。

When I arrived in Japan in early December last year, autumn was almost ending. Our first stop was Karuizawa. The hotel waiter told me that the scenery of the nearby Kumoba Pondd is nice, but it's a pity that most of the maple leaves there have fallen. Although it was a bit regretful, we still went for it.

When we arrived at Kumoba Pond, we saw quite a few ducks on the water, some were foraging, and some were resting on the shore or preening their feathers. I never thought that watching ducks swimming freely in the water could be such a healing process, watching them chasing each other, diving into the water to find food, and resting quietly on the logs of fallen trees on the shore, preening their own feathers. The site really makes you feel happy.

This set of photos shows a smaller river duck called the Common Teal or Green-Winged Teal. The male duck has a comma-shaped patch of colour on its face, making it look like it's wearing an eye patch. There are also a few green feathers on their wings.



The weather will get colder and colder, and I believe it won't be long before these ducks migrate south to spend the winter.
