All right, Tucker, got 20 minutes. Let me just jump on bareback and let's go try that course.
Come on. I only have 20 minutes today, Tucker. Should I try bareback? I mean,
I haven't ridden bareback in like four years. I guess it couldn't hurt. I'll just walk around.
Please don't spook. Please don't spook. Slow down.
All right, class. So we've talked about amphibians. Now we're going to talk about mammals.
A good example of a mammal is a horse. And we all know someone in this class who loves horses.
Why is everyone looking at me? Hey, yeah, here's the report you asked for. I also heard your
daughter's doing riding lessons now. I mean, I've been riding for like 30 years. I have my
own horse and everything. If she ever wanted to come by and see him, you know, I'd be happy to
show her some stuff. Is there not a mounting block out here? I guess I'll just have to get
on from the ground. There we go. Where's the mounting block? How am I supposed to get on?
Oh, gosh. Okay. I know, Tucker. I'm not ready either. Okay. This isn't going to work. I know
it's cold and wet out there, but I just want to see my horse. And once I get there, I'll warm up.
You know what? It's wet and cold. Tucker has his blanket on. I don't need to go out there.
He'll be fine. Not to brag, but I've been riding way longer than all of my friends. And I know so
much more than them. My horse is way more difficult to ride. I'm going to be a professional horse
trainer one day. Oh, a professional? No, no, no. I'm by no means a professional. I just, you know,
train a few mountain horses, but I wholeheartedly embrace the term adult amateur. Oh, wow. Oh,
look at those muscles. That's all from horseback riding. I just got done with my lesson and my
instructor says I should be doing core exercises because I'm not balanced in the saddle. And she
also thinks I should run a mile a day because I can't get through a dressage test without being
out of breath. I'm so over this. Can I just ride and have fun? All right, the gambler's choice.
None of these jumps look that scary. Let's just go fast and hang on. Good boy. Okay,
I know this is a speed round, but I think if I just tried all the jumps, I'll decrease my chances
of falling off. So let's go for it. Okay, just a nice steady trot, buddy. Whoa. Oh, gosh, we almost
fell. Did you know I'm looking for a new saddle? Oh, what's my budget? Oh, well, I'm just letting
my parents worry about that one. Well, I'm going to need a new saddle. And I was looking online and
they're like $2,000. So I was thinking maybe my tax return or my bonus at the end of the year.
Either way, I'm going to have to start saving. I mean, horses were made to jump. I can get any horse
to do a three foot course if I wanted to. You know, I just don't think that horse should be in
the jumper ring. Yeah, he can do it. It's just not built for it, though. Guess what? I'm getting
another horse. I know I have two already, but I somehow convinced my dad that this one would be
his. But in reality, I know it's actually going to be mine and I'm going to be the one to ride it.
I'm probably not going to get another horse anytime soon. I mean, yeah, he's getting on in years, but
I don't mind just puttering around. Frankly, I just don't have the time or money for another horse.
How often do I ride? Well, I try to ride every day after school and then I compete on the weekends.
I would like to ride more, but between kids and work, I'd probably get on at most like twice a
week. He spooked in this corner and I fell off. And so I was like, man, I'll just canter around
until he feels more comfortable over here, I guess. Yeah, one day he dumped me out there on that trail.
So I just avoid it now. No need to risk it. I don't let anyone else ride my horse. Sometimes my
trainer will if I'm on vacation. But even then, sometimes he comes back and I'm like, what did she
do to him? Oh, yeah. Well, me and my kids share him. I mean, she likes to ride him. I like to ride him.
Twice a week, a teenager rides him in her lesson. So, you know, he may not be anything special, but
he's safe and reliable. Dang, we did seven miles today and I would have done seven more if you
weren't so out of shape, buddy. Oh, my back. That was such a long ride. I need to get off.
