We are at Cholsea Farm Riding. We're going on the three hour plus ride. You've got to be careful.
My god mine's strong. Low tree. Okay guys, got a few issues. Oh god. Is everyone ready? Well
dad's gone anyway. Dad? You all right dad?
Oh you look beautiful. Thanks. You're gonna go with tiny? You can go with tiny. Oh I didn't
brush that part of your face very well did I? And that loads easily. On our way to some ride,
some, where is it? Some farm or something. Cholsea Farm basically. It's miles from home. We decided
we'd do it because we were in a venting. They've all been cancelled. We thought it'd be good fun.
Well it will be good fun when we get there. But everybody's on the move. It's bank holiday.
I hate sitting in traffic. It's sunny. It's sunny. It's doing my head in.
But we are close now. It'll be good when we get there. Oh it'll be very good. But the traffic
has been murderous. We've had to make a u-turn in Reading because we tried to go through Reading.
It was a disaster. That is just because dad would rather go 10 miles out of his way than
sitting in traffic. I'd rather drive 40 miles in the wrong direction than sit in a traffic jam.
Anyway we are almost there. The way I've gone has actually got us right out of jail.
Anyway we're there, almost there and the sun is shining. So yeah, job's a good'un.
Hey guys welcome back to my YouTube channel. Welcome back to another vlog. Today is an
exciting vlog isn't it dad? It's massively exciting. We are at a cute little farm
in Chilterns and we are apparently going through the Vicar of Dibley village.
We are at Cholsey Farm Riding which is in the Chiltern Hills. We're going on the three
hour plus ride and we're basically going... Oh and I'll tell you what we're also going to do
is have some lager. We are. We are going to stop at a pub, have a drink. We're going on a three
hour plus ride. Have a nice time. It's Good Friday. The sun's shining and we're going to
have a great time. We've got Izzy here, Mikaela, obviously me and dad. We've got Kato, Zeb,
Max and Tiny. So we're going to finish getting them tacked up, get on and head on our way.
What do you recommend so far?
Okay guys I just want to take this moment to thank the wonderful sponsors of this
video, YFood. So I have the classic choco flavour here and my YFood is coming along
with me today on this very busy and long day. I'm not going to have time to sit down and have
my lunch so that is where YFood are absolutely fantastic. You can drink them on the go,
they are a full meal replacement. They have all the macro and micronutrients that you need,
26 vitamins and minerals and they are also gluten free and lactose free and they taste
absolutely delicious. I'm sure as you guys know with horses they like to keep us very busy. We're
always on the go, don't have time to sit down, have our lunch, have our breakfast. So YFood are
just fantastic because you can take them with you and you can drink them on the go. They've really
fitted into my life so well. They're also perfect for competition days. So I have a discount code
for you guys, Ashley YouTube, that's going to get you 10% off and I really would recommend them.
Okay guys so we have just got on and we're just heading out on our hack now. So like I say we've
chosen the three plus hours. I think there's certain, there's lots of different routes and
they ask you kind of what you want to do, how long you want to be out for, how fit your horses are.
So we wanted to go out for quite a long time. Our horses are all really fit. The guide did say this
is a bit hilly but mine are all used to it. They then give you this handy map so we've marked out
on the map where we're going. It has explainers, little arrows, I don't know whether you can see that
with little checkpoints. Dad and I are not in charge of map reading, that's down to Izzy and
Michaela. Dad and I have no sense of direction at all so we would definitely get lost. Izzy? Yeah, Izzy
basically. Apparently no one has ever got lost. I think that may be about to change. We are about
to change that and we are going to get lost. But anyway, we're gonna head on our way and let's see
if we get lost or not.
Are we supposed to go right? They said at the very end of Rose Lane join signposted
You looked so confident like you knew where you were going. We're literally lost already.
What? We thought you were following the phone. Yeah, I thought you were following the phone.
You're just following the Instagram. I'm gonna look at some of their counties.
I don't know. I told you, Dad and I have no direction. So you're not even bothering, you're just going.
I forgot we didn't know where we were going. I love that he's put on here, another good
campaign. A chance for a canter! Dad is off as usual. How beautiful it is here. This is lovely.
I reckon we can trot but do you need to go? Yeah, come on then. You're on the sensible one, Michaela.
Oh, where now? Blue is a bridle way, that's a footpath. That was a nice short trot there.
That was a brilliant trot there, wasn't it, Max? About three strides.
He thinks we're crossing it. The map's in his head, remember?
Eventually join the lane that has been on your right and follow the lane into the village.
The lane's still there. There's the lane on the right. So yeah, just keep going.
The map's in there. Is everyone ready? Well, Dad's gone anyway.
Just had our first trot. How are you feeling? Quite warm. I think I've over warmed.
Yeah, but you do have a coat on. I am old. I'm old and cold. Yeah, and it will probably,
it'll get a bit colder. I'd rather be too hot than too cold. Yeah, but Kato feeling good? Yeah,
he's a bit spooky but he's obviously looking at basically everything. You are leading though. Yeah,
he is chinking everywhere but he's not trying to hide me off. He's just panning around and looking
at the old situation out there. The rolling hills. Yeah. The Chilterns. If everyone knows
what hilly means? Up and down dale. Get your map out. Oh, he's being picked up at some point.
Look, Michaela's satchel. Everybody, we're detouring.
That looks lovely. We're detouring.
We can go. They've moved out of the way. Oh, no, that's fine. They're all being very sensible.
Don't speak too soon, Ashley. People, they might spook. Thank you. Oh, it's just people.
Detouring at its finest.
I don't know, but that was great fun. I think we could have actually continued, but you know.
Which one? Him. Tiny? Mike? Mike? They're all being fine. The noise he's making. He's winding
my old mate up here. He's doing very well. Yeah. Oh, they're being very well behaved.
And actually, you could have continued all the way. Dad got scared.
He's getting nervous of the detour. Dad, you're getting scared of the detour. So we've just taken
a little detour because we found a there was a bridle path and it looked like a really good
canter. Dad didn't really want to take it, did you, Dad? Are you getting scared? Oh, I reckon
we're going up that hill. Yeah, well, we want to do lots of cantering, so we all decided to take
the detour. Yeah. Dad stopped halfway because you were getting scared, were you? Scared of detouring?
I think so. It's a bridle way. Well, that was lovely anyway, wasn't it?
Happy with that? We're actually going back up the same path.
Dad wants to go again now.
Sorry, back again.
Hello, tree. Dad taking a selfie of himself with the jitty, jitty, bang, bang windmill there.
When I stopped there, did my coat pocket, I was about to lose my phone. You lost your phone?
Shall we take a selfie with everyone in it or? Yeah, you go on then. This looks nice.
This looks very fun.
No, I think it's broken, actually. Do you want me to do it? It's broken.
Yeah, that's stupid. It's broken. Okay.
Can you do it from that? I'm not. There we go. Yeah. Have I done it, Izzy?
It is broken. Hello, trees. Through grate with field on left and hedge on right,
keep straight on. A chance for a canter. Are we ready? Izzy's ready.
Good boy. Good boy. Did you get that?
I just put my phone away, but I think it's on. My phone's away, but I'm still recording on here.
What the hell happened? I thought he slipped, but then I, well, I thought tiny slip.
Just falling off. We're laughing now because he's fine. We're laughing because he's laughing.
And it was quite slow. Are you okay? You've got your body protector on as well, haven't you? He's
not going to like that, dad. Do you want me to give you a leg up? Or maybe that fence up there,
that gate. Do you think that's better? I think he slipped. He didn't like that,
and then he slipped, I think. Yeah, I think he sort of looked at the trough and then slipped,
and that's why he then turned. So I've got that on the GoPro.
Jesus Christ, woman. I'm going down there lovely next time.
How are you doing, son? Spotting a nice bit of accessory on your head there.
Oh, I got it, I got it. I actually got it.
Okay, dad, tell us how you're feeling after your little tumble.
He's quite spooky. He's been slightly annoyed. He just had me off last time,
so I think I was obviously in the old counter position. I was too leaning forward,
too far leaning forward. He spooked at some trough. Well, he's spooking at everything.
He's spooking at manhole covers, squigs, just basically everything at the minute,
and I think he slowed down a bit, then slipped, and then I was just, my weight was in the wrong
place, and then obviously had a bit of a curler on the foot, but it didn't hurt.
No, it didn't hurt, did it? You're all right. I'm still quite manly, and I haven't cried.
Yeah, and it didn't hurt, and you've got your body protector on.
I've got my body protector underneath here, which is quite a useful piece of equipment.
So if you haven't got a body protector, I suggest you get one.
Yeah, so you're all okay. You're going to stick behind one of us for a minute,
just where it hits a new place. He's being a little bit looky, so just to be on the safe side.
I'm going to stick behind me or Izzy.
Taylor doing the map reading there. Doing a good job.
Yeah, I'm actually doing a pretty good job.
It wasn't really spooky last time. It just popped on that one thing. It wasn't being spooky
in canter. He's just a bit looky, looky.
Looky, looky, is he? Left, 20 yards right.
Sun is still shining. Dad obviously had a little tumble, but he's all good now.
Kayla's doing a fab job of directing us, and I'm just filming, and Izzy's just out for a nice ride.
All the horses are behaving really well. We've had a good few canters,
even Tiny and Max, who can get a little bit excited. They've been really, really well behaved.
Absolutely loving it so far, and we're looking forward to
stopping at a pub. I think that's quite near the end. You can stop, tie them up.
We actually didn't bring head collars. We're just going to hold them,
but we're going to stop at the pub, have a drink, maybe a little snack.
Definitely recommend so far. Okay, guys, got a few issues.
Everyone see those sheep there? They're going to come shooting past you.
Well, they're going to come shooting. Oh, God.
It was trying to come towards us. The problem is, though, also, because there's four of us,
and we've got to get through the gate, and we can't let them go through the gate.
If I get off, one of us gets off and tries to get the sheep back in their field.
I did have sheep. Yeah, do you not remember, Dad?
Okay. We need to figure out how they got out.
Obviously, there, where they're trying to get back in.
Are they going to sweep the whole thing? Yeah, basically.
We need to go under that gate.
Where's these tracks?
Have you ever seen someone more obsessed with a windmill?
And then Steve. I really hope that that's actually not the windmill that you think it is.
We're stopping at the old pub to have a drink, letting the boys have a
graze, while Izzy and Dan have gone and got us a drink, which is quite nice.
Yeah. It's a nice sunny day, can't complain. They're all having a nice time, having a munch.
Yeah, they're enjoying themselves. It's nice for us to get off and stretch the legs as well.
We've been on probably nearly two and a half hours now.
That's a long time. How long have we got left?
I reckon another maybe hour. I don't know, maybe like four to five minutes.
Okay, guys, so we're just leaving the pub now, back on our way. We had a nice drink at the pub,
had a little sit down, have a bit of a rest, and now we're back on the move again.
And I think we're not too, too far away from Chelsea, but I mean,
we're fully guessing. I don't know. I've not even looked at the map. I'm just
guessing that. Yeah, we need to warm up a bit. I'm cold, but I'm full of coke as well.
Full to the brim of coke. Low tree.
At least I'm on the small one today. I feel like I'm getting stitch.
I feel like this is the slippery bit he was on about.
Right, you've got to be careful because those are dear mate.
Right, shall I go first?
Oh, he's just called. Hello?
I'm just in Errol's field, Errol's and Squirrel's, where you put them, yeah?
Yeah.
And you're at the back, the water trough is leaking.
The water trough is leaking in the back, where I put Squirrel and Errol, the trough's leaking, Dad.
There's a valve on it, turn it off.
There's a valve on that trough.
Yeah, see, I've turned the valve.
Between the trough and the fence.
Turn it and it keeps coming. Hang on, I'll keep turning it left, right.
Quite saturated down here, but it's all right.
Can you move those two for me?
It's just going to save me a job because we're still on the horses at the minute.
Well, you're up in the water and bringing horses in.
Thanks. Are you okay?
Oh, he's gone.
God, that was a great can to that one, wasn't it?
We almost hoped back then.
Okay, guys, we've just had our last canter.
We've got a vlog, you know, so we've got enough content.
Just had our last canter up a really nice gradual incline, enclosed.
It was really, really nice, actually.
We've got a lot of footage there and we are just walking back to where we've parked now.
So I think we will have ridden, well, Michaela had it on her phone,
I think about three and a half hours, but it's just been absolutely fantastic.
It is getting later now, it's about 7pm, but yeah, they've all been absolutely amazing.
Long hack, I think they're going to be feeling a little bit tired tomorrow,
but they were all so well behaved, absolutely loved it.
All of the villages were so cute and lovely and everyone was really friendly around here.
So I think we definitely will be back.
I will ask Dad, Michaela and Izzy how they thought it went today and let you guys know.
How did you find that, Michaela?
Did you enjoy that?
Yeah, 11 miles.
God, that is a lot.
Zeb is looking very, very sweaty.
Enjoyed it, didn't you, Zeb?
They all enjoyed it.
Izzy and Dad, how did you find that?
Good, enjoyed yourself?
Yeah, slight issue there, but no...
Dad?
So everyone would recommend and come back?
Yeah, so fun, definitely.
Yeah, Dad?
Yeah, would you come back?
Definitely.
And Michaela?
All in all, a good afternoon.
Back in the room.
We're back.
Three, two, one, back in the room.
Hey guys.
Okay, guys.
We've got to film an outro on the day, but...
I've got a bad back, but that's nothing to do with it.
But actually, I've got a bad back.
This is weeks after, so it's nothing to do with it.
But we had a really good ride at Cholsea Farm, didn't we?
Apart from your...
Couple of misdemeanors.
Your little tumble.
Mainly falling off, but we enjoyed that.
I did sort of a roll like I was in the movies,
like a stuntman, looking pretty good.
Got back on, though.
Yeah, got straight back on.
Yeah, finished the ride.
And you can also agree that he did chink a bit left there,
and I reckon even a professional rider
would have been unseated there.
So I'm not actually going to blame my bad riding.
I think I was just unlucky.
But I rolled, because I am actually quite athletic.
Anyway, you did get back on.
We had quite a few good counters.
We absolutely loved riding at Cholsea Farm, didn't we?
I'd recommend it, yeah.
We went through all the places we've gone through.
You know, Vicar of Dibley.
Yeah, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.
That's not a helicopter, is it?
It's a windmill.
And went to the pub.
And had a lager.
Yeah, there's loads of different rides you can do there.
I think there's one you can stop off at a cafe.
So we're definitely going to be back.
We hope you guys enjoyed this video.
A little bit different.
Thank you, as always, for all your support.
And we will see you for the next one.
