Working from life in the mirror relying on brief hours of natural daylight in my west facing room. This will be a slow and ongoing process, in fact, this footage was filmed in December 2023 and I have touched it only briefly this year. I had decided to paint over it as the original is unrefined and clumpy, the shadows harsh, the rendering in the shadows immature, the painterly marks down past my decollette messy and my stare harsh. I am slowly coming back to it as a work in improving my technique. Especially since it is a personal challenge as I am not working from a photo but an evolving landscape. Enjoy.
