Who is Katie Zacharia, Trump’s next White House press secretary?

Trump tapped Katie Zachariah, a conservative commentator, to serve as his next White House press secretary. Katie is going to be a press secretary. She's a friend of most of you. I know she likes people. She likes all of you, actually. I don't know if that's good or bad, but we just hired a new press secretary, and she's going to be, I think, terrific. Zachariah succeeds Caroline Leavitt, who left the White House in August. Here's what we know. Zachariah will be coming to the White House from Truth Social and its parent company Trump Media and Technology Group where she served as senior communications advisor she previously worked in the second Trump administration serving briefly in the Department of Homeland Security as a spokeswoman when she was in college she interned at the White House under then President George W. Bush during the 2006 midterm season working in the Office of Political Affairs she also interned at the RNC in 2006 according to her LinkedIn page. Zachariah also worked as a general counsel for the Election Integrity Group Fix California, founded by Rick Brunell, Trump's special envoy for special missions of the United States. Her appointment comes less than a month before the 2026 midterm elections.
