These New Details Change Everything for the Bills...

We've got new details regarding the injury status of a few key Bills players,
which changes everything for the Bills ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers.
So today, we will be taking a look at this final injury report that the Bills released earlier
today, talk about what's changed since the start of the week until now, and why those changes for
a few key players and their availability is massive for the Bills on Sunday in their matchup against
the Chargers. We've got a lot to get to, but first, welcome in everybody to Bills Digest.
I'm Ben Volker, and here at Bills Digest, we've got you covered with all things related to the

And the Chargers matchup is almost here. We're only two days away. They've had a lot of time
to rest and recover after their win against the Lions last Thursday night, and it looks like the
Bills have needed all of that time because this is the first time all season in the young season
that the Bills have had a somewhat lengthy injury report, and we will just take a look at it right
here. You can go ahead, see the entire list of names here, 10 names on this injury report. Let's
of interest in this one. The first being Ty Johnson there, who hasn't played at all this
season. He's been injured since the start of August. It looks like he will be ready to go
on Sunday against the Chargers in his first game action. The Bills, of course, have a high opinion
on Ty Johnson. They view him as a great change of pace back in tandem with James Cook, so the
Bills are certainly happy to get Ty Johnson back. The other name is Terrell Bernard, who did not
practice today, but it looks like it was just a standard veteran rest day, so nothing to worry
about with Terrell Bernard. In terms of players that are not playing this week, you've got Jordan
Hancock, who is dealing with that hamstring injury. He will not be playing once again,
and then TJ Sanders, who popped up there with an appendectomy this week. Kind of a strange injury,
not a football-related injury, so should only really keep him out this week. I'm not sure the
return table on an appendectomy, but I can't imagine that TJ Sanders will be out for more
than one week. And that leads us to, of course, the questionables. And we've got a few big names,
of course. Armaduriz Adams there at the bottom is also questionable, but he's been a healthy
scratch for the first two games, so not much to talk about there. But defensively, you've got
Ed Oliver questionable, and then two wide receivers in DJ Moore and Keon Coleman there, who are both
questionable. And we will talk about all three of them in just a second, but first, I've got to
let you guys know that today's video is sponsored by Calshi. And on Calshi, you're trading directly
against other teams or other users, not the house like traditional sports books. You're buying yes
or no contracts on the outcome of events across sports, politics, or even the weather. For example,
this is why I bring up Calshi right now, because on Calshi, they are running this special of players
to score a touchdown in this Chargers-Bills matchup. And the guy that I'm looking at is right
there on the top being Khalil Shakir. Now, obviously, with Coleman and DJ Moore both questionable,
it could mean that Khalil Shakir sees a lot more action on Sunday. But even if Moore and Coleman
both play, I really like Shakir's chances of scoring a touchdown in this one. And if you
place $25 on Calshi right now, and Khalil Shakir does indeed score a touchdown on Sunday, you could
win $79 in return. That's not bad. And if you are interested in trying out Calshi, you can use the
link in the description, trade $25 with code DigestNFL, and get $55 added to your account
instantly. Thank you once again to Calshi for sponsoring today's video. And let's talk about
the injury that is on everybody's mind most of all, that being the DJ Moore injury. We've been
covering this injury all week. He injured his, it looked like his, collarbone in Thursday's matchup
against the Lions. People across Bills Mafia, myself included, were all very, very concerned
that this would be a serious injury and that DJ Moore would miss half the season or even more.
It looks like the Dodge, the Bills dodged a major bullet here as it was announced earlier this week
that he is only dealing with an AC joint sprain and that his return table was looking from about
10 days. And wouldn't you know it, 10 days after the Lions game is the Chargers game. So DJ Moore
is a true questionable. We've been following it all week and here is the latest that we know on
DJ Moore and his practice today. Because this is what DJ Moore said after his practice when he was
a limited participant. He said he was feeling good. All signs were good signs. And this is on
if he was, if he's good to go Sunday, he said, we shall see. I need to check a few more boxes and
then we're good. The boxes being stability and simulated contact. But all things considered,
this is very, very good news for the Bills that DJ Moore is even close to being ready to play
on Sunday. And look, DJ Moore, he has a reputation of being one of the most resilient players of the
league. He's only missed two games, his entire career, one being with a concussion, the other
being with COVID. And so it's, it's been a while since DJ Moore has missed a game. This is just a
guy that is always healthy. So I think with everything we know about DJ Moore and his
progression throughout the week, he was limited, but everything we know about DJ Moore and just
his, his drive and his fight to be out there. I would not be surprised if we see DJ Moore on
Sunday, which is crazy. If you asked me a week ago, I would say no way. DJ Moore is not playing
Sunday, but things have definitely changed. And even if DJ Moore isn't a hundred percent,
and if he is still out there, he is drawing, uh, all of the attention from the cornerbacks out
there, which opens up the field even more for guys, like I mentioned, Khalil Shakir,
or even the next guy, Keon Coleman, if he does indeed play on Sunday, because Keon Coleman is
the other guy on this list that is questionable in the wide receiver room. Now Keon, I am a little
bit more surprised on this one than DJ Moore, because he was injured in Thursday's game against
the Lions. He, I think his ankle got rolled up, um, but he did come back into the game in the
second half and he had a pretty, pretty good game against the Lions in DJ Moore's place as he caught,
uh, all six of his targets and, um, went for 63 yards for first down conversions. It was a very
solid showing from Keon Coleman last Thursday, but then he popped up on the injury report this week
with, uh, that ankle injury. It looks like it's still bothering him, but this is the latest on
what we know on Keon Coleman. He was indeed out there with DJ Moore while DJ Moore was practicing
in a non-contact jersey. Keon Coleman was in a regular gray jersey, uh, for this week, uh, but
he was out there, he was stretching, he got taped up, and he was doing drills with the rest of the
team. So that is encouraging on Keon Coleman, but I am a little bit hesitant, uh, on his chances to
play this week considering that this injury seemingly got worse throughout the week because
we were not expecting this. But what if both DJ Moore and Keon Coleman are not ready to go? Even
if one is not ready to go, I think this is the opportunity that we see Skylar Bell, that rookie,
come in and play some snaps for the Bills. Now, who knows what his capacity would look like, but
I know Bills are clamoring. Bills fans are clamoring for this guy. When I did my rookie
report a few weeks ago, you guys were saying, we want to see Skylar Bell get some action. Now,
this is the chance for Skylar Bell to do just that. And it looks like Skylar Bell knows that
this could be his chance on Sunday, and he said it's a surreal moment for him. But I love Skylar
Bell's energy, and I love all of his quotes that he's given to the press so far this year. And it
looks like he is laser focused and ready for Sunday's game. He said, once they throw me out
there, it's time to go. Let's lock in. And I love to hear that. So even if Moore or Coleman are
inactive on Sunday, I think Skylar Bell is in line to make a statement. Now, let's look at the other
side defensively real quick, where we've got Ed Oliver. And we heard from Ian Rappaport earlier
this week that the Ed Oliver news and his hip injury is less serious than initially considered.
People were starting to think it might be a hip flexor strain, which would keep him out for an
extended period of time. It looks like he was only experiencing hip spasms Thursday night, and the
Bills athletic training staff erred on the side of caution and kept him out. But he's been going
through everything leading up to this week. But it is looking, I think, pretty promising for Ed
Oliver in this game. Out of the three, I think Ed Oliver might have the best chance to play.
And if Ed Oliver is out there lined up with a guy like Deion Walker, man, Justin Herbert might be in
for a rough time. Because the Chargers offensive line, we talked about it yesterday, they are in
rough shape. And if you've got Deion Walker, who is playing at an absolute monster pace to start
the year, lined up with Ed Oliver, Justin Herbert is going to be under pressure all game. But even
if Ed Oliver isn't ready to go, I do think Deion Walker is capable of single-handedly making an
impact on this Bills roster. Because, I mean, look, he has a QB pressure rate of 13.2, which
is just absolutely insane. He has been red hot, and he says, I'm not even doing anything special,
I'm just playing ball. So I love Deion Walker. I've been singing the praises of Deion Walker,
and especially if they get Ed Oliver back in this game, look out. That's all I'm going to say. But
let me know what you guys think about these injuries. Who will be playing on Sunday versus
the Chargers? DJ Moore, Keon Coleman, Ed Oliver. You can say all, you can say none. I think all
three of these guys do have a very good shot. If there is one guy that isn't going to play on
Sunday, I do think it would be Keon Coleman. But DJ Moore and Ed Oliver, if you told me a week ago,
both of those guys are trending on Track to Play Sunday, I would say that you are crazy. But here
we are. One game record on offense in DJ Moore. One game record on defense in Ed Oliver. If both
of those guys are out there, the Chargers, I don't think, stand much of a chance at all. But let me
know what you guys think down in the comments on that. That's all we've got time for here on
Bills Digest today. But keep it right here on Bills Digest, because we will have more for you
ahead of this Chargers matchup coming up this week, Saturday and Sunday. And then,
of course, a post-game reaction after the game on Sunday. So stay tuned for that.
As always, thanks for watching, and of course, Go Bills!
