The Steelers were just gifted a GOLDEN opportunity...
Oct 15, 2026
Pittsburgh Steelers have
a golden opportunity following yet another injury last week to
Roman Wilson, a wild name.
A former Steeler has entered the news cycle
as new reports have dropped revealing the
Steelers' next move.
We're going to break that down, discuss what
it means going forward, as well as a few other
tidbits from practice today ahead of the big,
big game this upcoming Sunday.
But before we get into all that, and there is a lot,
a very quick reminder to hit that
subscribe button.
Ladies and gentlemen, we have a lot
to go over today, and of course, in case you missed
it, obviously a couple days ago on Sunday.
Roman Wilson went down with an injury i had a short on it
and jack had a video earlier today
he is out for the foreseeable future
but they need a wide receiver they need another one
even if you're super high
and ultimately Jeremy Bernard has shown a lot but even if you're super
high on Bernard you're gonna need another wide receiver
and articles reports are starting to fly
surrounding Juju Smith-Schuster
so you can see here the Steelers better hurry if they want to
bring Juju back and all
of a sudden now after getting waived i think it was by the Giants he is
available and fans absolutely
are begging clamoring whatever word you want to use to bring
juju back and i don't necessarily blame them i'm
a huge i mean i'm sure a lot of you guys are from
that hit but i'm a huge juju fan doesn't make sense let's dive
into it now now it is clear at
this point and i'm gonna have another video
probably tomorrow another wide receiver like
they're gonna make a move here soon right they need help
with the wide receiver position and
have a few outside options that are worth exploring
and before i dive in all those i do want to make
it clear I am very high on Jeremy Bernard I think he
is perfectly capable of being the WR2 he was
last week Aaron Rodgers loves him they had
that report about how Aaron Rodgers quizzed him and he
absolutely aced it and nailed it
but they still need more depth right whether it be a WR3 even
just a wide receiver that can help block
and I think if you're the Steelers you know looking at
Juju Smith could make some sense obviously we can kind
of look at how the timeline went for Juju
Smith Schuster June 2026 the Giants signed Juju
and then released him back in August and then as
of yesterday, the Vikings evaluated and worked out Juju Smith-Schuster.
So if the Steelers want
to go out and actually get him fairly quickly
or actually pursue him, it's going to have to be
sooner rather than later.
But I'm curious to see what you guys think about it, right? Because
there's been a lot of reports in the past,
even Michael Pittman Jr., when he first came over to
Pittsburgh, he was kind of recruiting Juju Smith-Schuster,
but he's not the best option,
right? When it comes to pure skill.
And obviously the Vikings are interested. They could use some
wide receiving help the Steelers obviously of course
are going to be interested but we can look
at Juju's stats from just last season
and this is the fun part about it he's been very very I guess
up and down if you want to call it that obviously
in 2023 he put up 345 yards 2024 I was obviously
with Kansas City 231 we know with the Steelers had
that big big 1400 yard season and fans I think a
lot of fans are ultimately I like Juju Smith
a lot I'm sure a lot of you guys do too some of you
guys may hate him he's a polarizing name he had
that big you know retaliatory I guess hit if you
want to call it that that fans kind of love him
for but I'm curious to see what you guys think
about because at the very least it's not like he's old he's only 29
or now 30 years old and he's
coming off a year where a Super Bowl contending team
in the Chiefs gave him 12 starts and he put
up 345 yards like I think this is absolutely a move
the Steelers should be pursuing just because
a the vibes are kind of funny b you don't really have
a ton of other better options now there's
other names that are being thrown out there
which i'll dive into i think if you're the Steelers you
probably need to go ahead and make some sort of addition
and why not get a guy who um can i get a
guy who you have experience
with in the past now last year struggled obviously his last five games
was averaging 27 and a half you know yards a game the first 11
so he did struggle down the stretch
who knows how his training camp was because he did get released
from the Giants in in august of
course but i don't know i'm kind of just a fan
of this i think it would be fun right obviously
he's getting older he hasn't gotten much better
but even just a few years ago like four years ago
he had an almost thousand yard season in the world
in the uh in the season that the Chiefs won the
Super Bowl and i'm not gonna you know sit here
and say that Juju is going to be able to come out
and actually be a great receiver
but he's a very very to this day a very very strong blocker he
could help open up a lot of seams for other guys him
and Aaron Rodgers i think could have a pretty
a unique connection now obviously you're going
from Patrick Mahomes to Aaron Rodgers to the
greats in NFL history i think it makes some sense now we think back
to the spring he was recruited
this was from Michael Pittman Jr. on the Instagram
Juju Smith-Schuster made a post and then Michael
Pittman responded when you're coming home oh gee
obviously bringing more spotlight to it I think
makes sense now there are of course some questions
with the fit one of them will he pass his physical
I would assume so but that's obviously
the number one question how quickly can he learn the offense
this is something i think actually benefits him compared
to other guys he's a veteran he's been
around a ton of different teams he's been a part
of a Super Bowl winning team i think if there's
one thing he can do that's adapt fairly quickly um and i
also think he can provide some dependable
complementary snaps he's not going to be someone
who's going to go out there and play a ton but i
think if he blocks plays his role almost kind
of like Jeremy Bernard was doing before obviously
very different player and the price obviously i
assume it's going to be minimum like very very
cheap i would assume the minimum there
are some other wide receiving options as well that have
been out there like Gabe Davis, Curtis Samuel, okay KJ Osborne
from the practice squad Tyler Johnson
the thing becomes though when you start to look
at those guys i think i want to bring in a veteran
at this point and someone who's
been around it before Jordy rocking with Jeremy Bernard
as your WR2 you have DK Metcalf as your WR1
so comment down below do you want do you think it's
a good opportunity do you think he's washed i
just think it's a pretty good opportunity now
to get someone you're somewhat familiar with at least to a degree
and at least as an organization
obviously there's been some turnovers
but also we have to talk about Jeremy Bernard a little bit
right so obviously something else to keep in mind Ben Scronek's
also unavailable more of a special
teams guy but you're without
your three without three wide receivers here and that is interesting
it's going to expand though Jeremy Bernard's role
and he's ready for it you can see here from Brian
Angelo the Steelers offensive coordinator Jeremy offers you
so much flexibility because he's such a
good blocker and he's good with the ball
in his hands kind of similar to what Juju Smith-Schuster
would do but now you'd be kind of replacing
that WR3 role with Juju Smith and ultimately you're
going to be giving Jeremy Bernard a much bigger role going
for this season he's put up 140 yards
he's looked better game by game had a season high in yards from 60
or 80 whatever it was on sunday
and all of a sudden now he's better i think than
a lot of people thought he was going to be right
off of rip and it's as simple as that you can see one
of the comments from my video a couple days
ago glad he's back Omar Khan should have never cut him
as far as roman wilson being out
next man up and i like bernard over wilson anyway
better route runner good hands like mike tomlin
said one man's misfortune
is another man's opportunity shout out the call uh shout out
to raven 5672 for the comment in the video leave
your own comment down below if you want to be
featured but he's right like jeremy bernard
is going to have to step up now and i think he is
another note pat fryermuth they're starting to use tight end heavy sets
and really start to get
a focal point clearly has been getting
the tight ends involved whether it's pat fryermuth whether
it's Darnell Washington. Mike McCarthy even went
as far as saying that he thinks Pat Fryermuth can
be one of, if not the best tight end in the NFL,
be a multi-time pro bowler. And that showed in
last, uh, in Sunday night's game with the way
that they use him. You have your OC saying,
I think that's, what's nice about having
a flexibility with the tight ends is that you
can use some for blocking like Darnell Washington.
You can use some for obviously being a receiver
two touchdown for him two touchdown, sorry for him.
And even went in the Pat McAfee show after the
game and said I definitely see myself as more
of a focal point of the offense so vibes are pretty
high folks uh the big thing will
be how does Jeremy Bernard step up on Sunday how does uh Omar Khan
go about replacing the lost production over
the past over the next few days it's going to be
interesting as we approach practice week a lot
of things to keep an eye out on um Deshaun Elliott
Rico Dowdle hopefully both those guys will
be returning the potential for Brandon Smith and
Wetjen if they don't go out
and get another guy um and ultimately here the veteran wide receiver
I think they're going to make a move. Thank you guys for watching
