AI GeneratedThe Pittsburgh Steelers suffered a frustrating 27-24 loss to the Cleveland Browns, dropping their record to 2-2. Despite an early lead and a fourth-quarter comeback to tie the game, the Steelers were unable to secure a victory. The game was characterized by inconsistent performances from both the offense and defense, as well as a high number of penalties.
And what is a frustrating loss for the Pittsburgh Steelers?
They dropped their second one, this one, to the Cleveland Browns.
They lost 27-24.
I'm going to break down how the offense did, how the defense did.
Thoughts from the game, from a very frustrating game.
Before we get into all of that, I want to remind you guys to subscribe to the channel.
It's tough right now, especially after this type of loss, but I want to make sure you

All right, let's hop right into it.
Like I said at the top of the show, Steelers lose to the Cleveland Browns.
This happens a lot, 27-24.
They were up 7-0 really quick in that game, and not really quick.
It was their first drive, but that drive literally took like forever, it was like 17 plays.
But they were up 7-0.
It looked good.
Cleveland's offense got the ball first, defense got to stop.
Offense came out.
They were able to really strain that drive along, cap it off with a Roman Wilson touchdown,
and then just quickly fell apart.
It feels like the Browns scored 14 points nearly immediately as a response, and then
in the fourth, they were down 21-10.
They were able to tie it up at 24-24.
Darnell Washington brought it 21-16 with that touchdown, and then with Pat Frymuth right
after that, or a few minutes after that, to get to 24-22, get the two-point conversion,
but doesn't even matter because the Browns were able to drive right back down the field.
We'll talk about that Steelers defense here in a little bit.
Able to knock in the game-winning field goal.
Now 2-2 for the Pittsburgh Steelers.
They can never beat the Browns at home, I mean at the Browns at least, especially on
Thursday Night Football.
Here are the total stats from this game.
Really even.
If you look at just the stats, it didn't really feel even to me.
I feel like a lot of these stats came in that fourth quarter with the Steelers because they
got the majority of their offensive yards in that fourth quarter, but 361 total yards
for the Steelers.
Two turnovers for both teams, very even in first downs.
The penalties just were flying, 22 total between both teams with a total of 138 over a football
field worth of penalty yards.
And the time of possession even was really, really similar.
I thought coming into this game, the time of possession was going to be really important.
And the Steelers technically won time of possession, but obviously it ultimately didn't really
matter.
Let's talk about the offense first.
Both sides of the ball, we have problems with, and we'll start with the offense.
Aaron Rodgers, 22 for 40, 299 yards, just under 300 yards.
Three touchdowns, two interceptions, did take five sacks on the game.
Again, a lot of those passing yards, this feels a little inflated to me because of that
final drive where he basically threw, I think he literally did throw every single pass in
and all the yards on that drive were contributed by Rodgers, but he did not play well today.
Especially after that early touchdown, a lot of overthrows, there were good throws sprinkled
in there.
It feels like that's just kind of the Aaron Rodgers experience in 2026, is for every three
bad throws, you get one vintage throw.
He was kind of indecisive.
Not sure if maybe the receivers weren't really getting open, we can get into that.
But, overthrows, not really seeing it at well.
The stats, I think, paint a better picture than what we saw from Aaron Rodgers today.
Jalen Warren, 17 for 93, pretty solid game from him, obviously no touchdowns.
Wish we leaned on him a little bit, honestly surprised to see him with 17 carries, it felt
like we were just throwing the ball the entire game, but solid day for him, 92 yards total
for the team.
Travis Homer came in for two carries, didn't even get a single positive yard.
On the receiving side of things, DK Metcalf did eclipse 100 yards receiving in this game
on five catches, Roman Wilson, 74 yards for one touchdown, Darnell Washington had a touchdown,
Pat Frymouth had a touchdown, I want to talk about these receivers though, because it feels
like either Rodgers is not seeing it, or the receivers, time and time again, are not getting
open downfield.
I don't know what it is.
Five sacks, I don't think the offensive line, they didn't play good, they didn't play great.
I don't think the offensive line played bad enough for five sacks.
Some of them felt like coverage sacks to me, obviously the Browns play a ton of man coverage,
they have awesome corners starting with Denzel Ward, they have so many great man corners,
but there were times there where receivers were able to get open, like a Roman Wilson,
like a DK Metcalf, but those were more kind of zone looks.
In straight man, obviously you couldn't really see it on the broadcast because it was out
of camera view, they weren't getting open.
I got to talk about Michael Pittman, two catches for 15 yards, not even really involved in
the offense as well, was really hoping, especially after trading for him, especially after giving
him all that money that we would see more through four weeks, I know he's been hurt,
but he's not played that well at all.
As an offense, seeing what week three looked like against the Bengals where they scored
30, I know they scored 24, but this definitely was a step back for them, but I think the
bigger step back here is the defense.
You see the entire stats here, only one sack on the day, actually two sacks, went through
basically that entire game not having a sack, and then in our fourth quarter, the offense
of the defense did light a fire, were able to make plays.
That second quarter was absolutely brutal, it was brutal.
The Browns couldn't do wrong, they could do anything, there were missed tackles, I want
to talk about Patrick Queen, he had a bad game, a lot of missed tackles, a lot of missed
assignments, not making the right play, and then the cornerback room as well, obviously
Jamel Dean got hurt in the game, we all know where Joey Porter Jr. is, he's not in Pittsburgh
anymore, relying on Asante Samuel and Dillon Everett, it was not working well at all.
Denzel Boston had a good game, Casey Concepcion had a good game, they seemed like they were
out of their element in a lot of moments, but just collectively, the defense did get
better in that second half, you felt those adjustments, the Browns only scored six points
in that entire second half, if I'm not mistaken, and they did make some plays here, Jack Sawyer
able to tip the ball for an interception, TJ Watt making plays, getting sacked, the
fumble, can't forget about the forced fumble, obviously it didn't matter, the defense kind
of dug the team into a hole, in a way, where it was really hard to get out, they nearly
got out of it, but then the offense wasn't able to show up throughout the entire game,
so I think both sides of the team here really, really had their struggle moments, it felt
like the offense did good and the defense did bad, it felt like the defense did good
and then the offense did bad, it wasn't really cohesive, and led to another loss to the
Cleveland Browns, I didn't even really give my hopes up, honestly, I know they tied the
game, but just seeing how the defense, seeing how this, seemingly this is going to be the
Patrick Graham defense, is where it's going to be, we're going to sit back and zone, and
especially because they don't really have any man corners on the team anymore, especially
with no Joey Porter Jr., we're just going to sit back and zone, and we're going to keep
you in front of us, which is a bigger reason why missed tackles are like, oh my gosh, that
second quarter, every play was a missed tackle, it's not, I'm giving Patrick Queen some crap,
and I think rightfully so, but he was not the only player that was missing tackles,
the defense as a whole in that first half was bad, it was really, really bad, and it's
a side of the ball that up until two weeks, I didn't think I was going to have to worry
about it, week three rolled around, you know, let up 27 points, actually, let up 27 points
at back-to-back games here, let up 27 points, I was like, okay, okay, Cincinnati's offense
is pretty good, Cleveland's offense, I don't know how you guys feel about Cleveland's offense,
and they're definitely better, Deshaun Watson is playing better, they have young receivers
now, they have a good young running back, but I was not thinking they were going to
score 27 points in this defense, so I don't really know, but again, both sides of the
ball, if you will, but let's take a look at the next five games for the Pittsburgh
Steelers.
They now drop to 2-2, could have, you know, been first in, at least for a few days, with
a win, first in the division, now they drop to 2-2, they play the Browns really, really
soon, again, they play the Bengals really, really soon again, but I'm looking at, you
know, these first, these next three games, I think are really, really important, because
you look at the two divisional games, I always think of the divisional games as, you're probably
going to win one, you're probably going to lose one, which is kind of how the AFC North
works, I wish, you know, we were able to beat the Browns more than we really have, but they've
been formidable in the past few years, so, but, back to what I was saying, with the Colts,
having them at home, seems like a pretty down Colts team, but still a dangerous Colts team,
you need to win that game.
At Tampa, Tampa 0-3 right now, not playing good, gotta get that, gotta get that win,
and then the Saints as well, that offense has looked really, really good, Tyler Shook
has looked good, Chris Olave, that's a dangerous team, so they really have to, through this
next stretch, make sure they can at least keep their head above water if they want any
chance for the playoff, you know, any chance for the playoffs, any chance for the division,
but this was not a, man, if I made this video right in front of the, you know, right ahead
of the fourth quarter, I would have been so frustrated, and I still, obviously I'm frustrated,
but just, you know, I thought we had a chance, but obviously, you know, it didn't come to me,
so, that's gonna do it, you know, that's everything that I have for today, hopefully
you guys enjoyed the video, let me know what you think about the game down in the comments,
we got a mini bye week, you know, hopefully we can figure things out before Indianapolis,
but it was just not an inspiring game at all, not at all, especially after week three,
you know, the, how well the offense looked, and they just took a complete step back,
it seems like the defense is taking a step back as well, so, let me know what you guys
think about the game in the comments below, and we'll catch you guys next time.
