AI GeneratedThe Denver Nuggets are seeing positive momentum in training camp, highlighted by the return of a healthy Aaron Gordon and the promising arrival of Cam Whitmore. While Gordon remains an indispensable veteran leader and defensive anchor, Whitmore is viewed as a \"hidden gem\" whose athletic potential and new willingness to learn from veterans could provide the bench depth necessary for another championship run.
This is perfect for the Denver Nuggets as they have found a hidden gem for their team.
As Aaron Gordon has already spoke out on the excellent move the Nuggets have made,
while David Adleman has also highlighted it, but also highlighting Mr. Nugget Aaron Gordon as well,
who is back with a vengeance after dealing with some injuries. The Nuggets know that they can't
win without Aaron Gordon. He's way too important to this team, he's too valuable of a player,
and his defense and just overall being an excellent teammate and just overall great
player is an absolute necessity for the Nuggets to win another championship,
which is the ultimate goal. And guys, diving into all this, there's a lot to look at,
but real quick, make sure to go ahead and subscribe if you are part of that 70%
that does not yet subscribe to Nuggets Digest. It's completely free to do.
We're on that road to 5k now. We have to adjust to subscribe to Nuggets Digest,
little blip, because we hit 4k. Thank you again so much for that guys.
But diving into the video, there is a lot to look at, because obviously seeing Aaron
Gordon healthy is one of the biggest deals the Nuggets could possibly have. He was injured last
season for a little bit of it, and honestly, just having him back is such a big part of this team.
It really helps them improve in a ton of areas, having Mr. Nugget, one of their best players,
back on the court, as Gordon the last two years has dealt with injuries that have really limited
him, and especially in the playoffs when it matters most. So lots of good stuff there for
the Nuggets. They've also found a hidden gem as Aaron Gordon and Coach David Adleman have
highlighted in none other than Cam Whitmore, who signed on to this team for a two-way deal,
but it won't be long until he's on a standard contract. I mean, Brendan Vogt tweeting this out,
that Aaron Gordon had some praise today for Cam Whitmore after practice,
said he's a good player, very talented, and that I hope he sticks, and moves on the margins like
this is what wins you championships. This is what gets you back to the NBA Finals,
is bringing in guys who are going to come off the bench and are going to be helps,
and with how young Whitmore is, he's going to help for a while, which is even better for
the championship window, which we know the Nuggets are trying to win, which right now,
obviously, they don't have a great shot at. On Kalsi, you can see this, and thank you to Kalsi
for sponsoring today's video. On Kalsi, you're trading directly against other users of the
House of Traditional Sportsbooks. You're buying yes or no contracts on the outcomes of events
across sports, politics, and even the weather. For example, the Denver Nuggets are winning the
2027 NBA Championship, and guys, this is certainly possible. We look at the Nuggets right now,
they have the best player in the world, the bench is excellent offensively,
the Indiana Pacers had no defense, and they still were able to get a game away from winning the NBA
Finals. The Nuggets are in line for the best offense in the league this year, if you ask me,
and that gives them a chance. So if you are willing to take that trade, I traded $25 on
the Nuggets to win, and if that hits, I can get $585 of a max payout. And guys, here's the reason
why I mention that, because if you are interested in trying out Kalsi, you can use the link in our
description that's also in our pinned comment section, ENCODE Digest NBA, and get $55 when you
trade your first $25. It's a great deal for you, it helps the channel out. And guys, taking a look
at Cab Whitmore. This was a move that I think a lot of Nuggets fans were interested in, myself
included, because we look at Whitmore. Talented player, absolutely, no doubt about it. Someone who
feels like one of the biggest things surrounding him has been the fact that overall, he hasn't
really ever locked in, is the best way to put it. He was on a young Rockets team that wasn't very
good and got traded to a young Wizards team that wasn't very good. He tried to score points in
bunches and was criticized for lackadaisical defense and a complete disinterest in passing.
It led to him not having the world's most efficient season and the worst season of his
NBA career last year. But he's still only three years into his NBA career, he's still only 22
years old, and he's known to be kind of a party or someone who has had a lot of fun throughout
his NBA career. And then after getting the deep vein thrombosis, he did miss the majority this
year, put up nine points, three rebounds, 0.7 assists, and only shot 28% from three.
But he still is instant offense, which never hurts to add to your team. David Adleman did
speak on this as well, regarding Whitmore and regarding everything that he does bring to the
table, saying this, he can play for the Broncos, I swear to God. He's got to simplify himself.
He's got to drive the ball to the basket. He's got to pick up defensively. His athletic profile
is incredible. With Ryan Blackburn also mentioning right here that the first day of training camp is
always interesting to see what was discussed and who looked ready. And two players who stood out to
Adleman were Aaron Gordon and Cam Whitmore. There have been a lot of compliments and praise for
Whitmore to start the year, which is important when Nikoli Okic is saying, to be honest, a lot
goes on. I think the young guys and the new guys don't even know, but even when they shoot with the
coaches or when they lift, I really pay attention to what they're doing. When you're the best player
in the NBA watching you, and when you also are standing out to the coaches, things are going
right. It feels like Whitmore is more locked in than ever before. He's on an older team, a veteran
squad that wants to win a championship. He's playing for something meaningful for the first
time in his career, not on a tanking team where he's going out there and just hoisting up shots.
That's not what this is, and Adleman's right to call out the defense at getting to the basket.
Whitmore is very big. He's very athletic. As I said when they signed him, there's no reason why
Cam Whitmore can't become a very good defender. He's six foot seven. He's very, very strong. He's
very, very fast. He can guard if he decides to lock in. He can guard four positions. He can guard
point guard, shooting guard, small forward, power forward. He can do it. He really, really can.
He can become a valuable defensive asset. It's a matter of getting him to lock in on that, and now
with veterans around him, it seems like Whitmore is going to do just that according to what he said.
Whitmore said, I never had these type of vets in the locker room before. If Jokic, Aaron Gordon,
and Jamal Murray tell me I need to do something differently than what I was doing before,
then I'm going to go ahead and do it because those guys have been here before, and it's quotes like
these that make you think. Maybe he just, I mean, as he said, you could believe him. He never had
a vet before. He never had a guy who's going to grab him and say, no, you do this or you're not
going to have an NBA career. This is your role now. You are not some guy who's going to go out
there and start like you were on a bad Rockets team, be able to take 15 shots a game and nobody
bats an eye. Nope, you're done with that. Here's what you're going to do now. You're going to give
us instant offense here. You're going to play strong defense because we need someone to replace
Peyton Watson and Spencer Jones is that guy, but we also need you here to do that. Do you want to
make this actual roster or be on a two-way spot? Because after you're on that two-way spot, if you
don't change your style up a little bit, that's going out the wayside. I mean, we don't see Cam
Thomas on a team. So overall, I do really, really believe in Cam Whitmore changing. I think he is
going to really switch up his style. And I mean, go ahead and switch the style up. I'm not going
to say the rest of that line, but here's the thing. Denver Nuggets on Twitter, DNVR Nuggets,
not the official Nuggets account. Make sure to follow them on Twitter if you don't already and
you watch this and you watch this, but David Adelman says Aaron Gordon and Cam Whitmore were
two standouts in the first practice. There's a high level of communication defensively, which is
obviously a big thing for us. The guy sees everything, which is very early, which is a gift.
So obviously, that's more referring to Aaron Gordon. AG is obviously one of the vocal leaders
on this team, kind of in a way the most vocal of all the leaders. Nicola Jokic is effectively the
de facto leader for being the best player in the league, but Aaron Gordon is the guy who's going
to be vocal, who's going to talk, who's going to add all those intangibles, while also being one
of the best defenders in basketball, and on top of that, just very, very great player. We all know
how great Aaron Gordon is. It's not really a kept secret anymore. 16 points, 6 rebounds, 2.7 assists
last year, shooting 50% from the field, 39% from three. The man's been downright excellent. He's a
great defender. He can guard a bunch of positions. He's done so well for the Nuggets over the years,
and he's going to continue to be a huge part of this team, and I absolutely love what we are
seeing out of the Denver Nuggets right now, because this offseason was not viewed as very
highly, but it sounds like good stuff is coming out of training camp, which is exactly what you
want to hear on day one. No hiccups, just some good stuff surrounding guys who have a big impact
on the success of this team, both on the margins, if you're Whitmore, and just straight up, can't win
without if you're Gordon. Guys, let me know your thoughts in the comments down below. Like this
