cook at home. Explore recipes packed with traditions and rich umami flavors that everyone in the entire
family will love. So today we're going to make sweet and sour pork. Color often has symbolic
meanings including in food. Food that is orange or red is often considered to represent happiness
or luck which is definitely a key feature in this dish. Let's cook. Okay first up let's talk about
ingredients. For today's recipe we'll be utilizing Knorr liquid seasoning. Now Knorr liquid seasoning
brings out that amazing umami flavor that we're all looking for. It's the perfect all-around
companion in the kitchen as you can use it to cook, marinate, sprinkle and even serve as a
dipping sauce. I promise this will instantly become your favorite seasoning. We'll be using
two tablespoons to bring out flavor in this dish. Other ingredients include two-thirds cup brown
sugar, two-thirds cup apple cider vinegar, two-thirds cup tomato paste, one pound boneless pork loin,
one tablespoon vegetable oil, one chopped small onion, two medium diced carrots, one bell pepper
medium diced, one quarter teaspoon ground ginger, two cloves of garlic chopped and eight ounces of
large diced pineapple. All right team let's get cooking. Okay so let's start by making the marinade
for the sweet and sour pork. I'm starting with brown sugar then apple cider vinegar.
I've got some tomato paste here. So I'm basically working this together until the tomato paste
works right in and the brown sugar dissolves and we're going to finish this marinade up with our
star ingredient the Knorr liquid seasoning. All right so don't forget this is your pork marinade
plus your stir fry sauce for the sweet and sour pork. So this is just simply pork loin that's
been cut into one to one and a half inch cubes. I'm going to bathe this pork in half of the marinade
and reserve the other half for the stir fry. So I'm just going to take a second to work this in.
Marinade's job is to get into the pork not just coat the outside. So marinate your pork for 20
to 30 minutes and then we'll be ready for the stir fry. All right team so let's get into the pan.
I really like preheating my pans for at least two to three minutes making sure you get that sear.
I've also drained off most of the marinade on the pork. Okay so let's do this. I'm starting with a
little bit of vegetable oil in the pan. To that I'm going to add my ginger and garlic.
Nice and carefully pork into the pan always away from you right this kind of keeps the
sputter away from you. Really take advantage of the surface area of your pan because you really
want to brown this pork all the way through and because it's pork you definitely want to cook it
all the way through. Okay so I'm feeling pretty good there I've got a nice even browning all the
way around this pork is about 70 to 80 percent cooked through. I need to give it a little time
for the vegetables anyway so let's add them now. Let's start with our carrots, bell peppers,
and I'm using green here just a personal preference, and then finally onion.
So the pork is brown the vegetables are sweated down it's time to add our sauce. So this is all
that deliciousness the tomato paste the cider vinegar. The Knorr liquid seasoning is the secret
to get all that savoriness that you want out of sweet and sour pork.
Look at that smells delicious looks delicious and it's time to add our pineapple.
So I'm adding the pineapple right at the end not to overcook it I want it nice and bright.
I want the pineapple to be a nice sweet bright finish to all the savoriness and the umami in
this dish. All right it looks delicious let's plate up. Well there you go friends sweet and
sour pork made with our Knorr liquid seasoning. Look how easy this was I mean simple delicious
