Northern Academy in Middletown New York

The main reason I would recommend our school is Northern Academy really strives to set ourselves apart from other schools. It's a really good environment. The teachers are passionate about what they're doing. They're kind and so there's a kindness here that you don't really get in other places. I've taught in public schools. I've run summer camps and there's just a kindness. There's a warmth. There's a professionalism that's here. It's going back to roots, classical roots, traditional roots and so that's very unique. They're bringing out these timeless principles and putting them into the curriculum and that's just powerful. It's powerful for any human to connect to those type of things and so not only is the environment safe but there's super high quality in terms of the education going to the classical education. I do really like the teachers here. I think they care about the students a lot and they're always very ready to help you if you need extra tutoring or if you have any questions and they're always very available which is really nice and all of my favorite teachers I think have been at this school which has been a very cool experience. We focus on a holistic education. We see our students as more than just grades and numbers but they are people who are going to grow into becoming our future. Everybody is just really dedicated to what they do. They just give everything they have for us and it's really amazing to see that dedication. Every day they run with every class and with every year they always try to like improve everything that they do. You're not just going to learn education. You're not just going to memorize facts. You're going to really grow into your full potential. The teachers at Northern Academy really care a lot not just about the way their classes work inside of the classroom but they also care about how the students will do in the future so when they're teaching you things they really try to show how it applies back to the real world instead of just focusing on getting a good grade in their class. The teachers are really really caring and they teach us because they want to teach us and not because they they need to. They would stay at school later just to make sure we understand something or that we do better on the test. It's definitely super unique and I've never heard of anything similar like this like a small community of very tight close people who are from many different cultures and many different backgrounds all just came into one place. I feel like I improve a lot more here in this environment. The reason I would recommend Northern Academy to to parents to families and students is because of our emphasis on moral character and regardless of where they decide to go in life the things they want to learn their goals the character always stays with you and life can circle around you and you are guided by these higher principles and virtues and I think that's a gift that Northern can give to to kids. Even though the work at Northern can be very challenging I think it really helps to prepare me for real life.
