NEW YORK GIANTS PRACTICE REPORT AUGUST 24, 2026

Here's your New York Giants practice report for Monday. This is following Saturday's 26-3
preseason victory down in Miami and wow was it cool in North Jersey today. Well of course
that depends on your perspective. If you were with the Giants in Miami with temperatures in
the low to mid 90s and heat indexes of over 115 degrees for four days you know why the weather
in North Jersey felt like there was outdoor air conditioning. I mean temperature was at about 80
degrees and very cool breeze. It was nothing like the humidity and basically the microwave type
conditions that the Giants had to go through when they visited the Dolphins. Now today it was a
shells only practice and what would be qualified as a light jog through but the big headline had
to be the fact that Malik Nabors participated and was not wearing the red jersey anymore. Now you
know the red jersey means no contact. You can't touch him at all. Not that there was much physical
contact in this practice anyway but Nabors did take individual drills, took several 11 on 11
team reps, did get a few passes thrown his way, made his catches and seemed to come through with flying
colors. Head coach John Halbaugh said afterwards that yes this was another step in his progress
coming back from that serious knee injury and we will see how things continue but he looked good,
seemed to be fine, seemed to be strong. Simply put Nabors is inching his way back
toward the lineup. Theo Johnson had a collision according to coach Halbaugh with
Kayvon Thibodeau. That's why he had to leave practice early but they don't think it's anything
serious as well as CeCe Mawinoa, Giants starting right guard coming off of that stinger from last
week. Well coach Halbaugh said he does expect him to be able to practice at some point this week
before the Jets game on Friday night which is a Jets home game at MetLife Stadium. Don't forget
you can always go to the New York Giants on SI media network for all of your Giants
information and we'll be back with another edition of the Big Blue Breakdown live
Tuesday night at 8 p.m eastern time to take your chats, your video calls and your audio calls
as we discuss all things Big Blue. Until next time, I'm Paul Titino.
