Llano Del Rio abandoned RUINS of a failed Commune in Antelope Valley

what's going on everybody welcome back to 909 Adventures today we're at another abandoned spot it's been a while since I've explored anything abandoned I've really been dying to get back out here and start exploring more stuff like this for you guys um I've had a block on this place for a very long time mainly because there's not very much here to look at other than these two chimneys here in a couple of these pillars but we're here for a very important reason I guess an announcement you could say so uh stay tuned until the end of the video to hear what that announcement is I don't think you guys are going to want to miss it another project another project let's get started from here it looks kind of deep talking about this uh this pit right here let's uh let's check this out first a couple of chimneys here look at this this kind of reminds me of the uh the one out there in um on the desert yeah no I don't know if that's ononto but it's uh The Hills Have Eyes chimney you can see a nest has definitely been sat there look up that chimney I you see anything go straight up well no kidding that's uh what chimneys do uh let's check this one out it's same thing it looks like uh we'll give you guys a little bit of history on this place another hole guess it's where you would kind of like stoke the fire maybe all right guys so just a little bit of background on this place uh this was a uh a commune or a colony I guess you guys could say I mean it's the same thing commune Colony um this is a Yano Del Rio it's bu uh L Lao so a lot of the locals here called it loano but uh there was a fire here a few years ago in the mountains right behind us and the News was calling it Yano it kind of confused a lot of people so we're either Lano Yano whatever you guys want to call it it was uh a commune it opened in 1914 and quickly a quick four years later in 1918 it was abandoned it did uh it did manage to gather up to 1,00 people at the height of its uh popularity in 1917 just a year before it closed well not closed but they eventually wound up moving out of state so they eventually moved and this place was abandoned again just a short four years later but this the commune uh they promised steady work to be busy and competitive wages and you know what a competitive wage was back in 1914 $4 a day that's what people were making when they were working living here is four bucks a day now let me let me not remind you but let you guys know that they had a $2,000 like entry fee like you had to pay $2,000 to be a part of this commune and when you first uh when you first joined they allowed you to uh put three4 of that on credit so as soon as you come in you you got uh you got credit and you're in debt to them assuming you can come up with the other 500 bucks to join but obviously 1,00 people did come up with it and so during your work you would make four bucks a day they would take a dollar a day towards that credit towards the other three fours that they owe you or that you owed them so you were making three bucks a day and there was some other residual some other payment I don't remember exactly what that was they bill flash it up here on the screen that they would take out even more money so you're I'm not exactly sure what that amount was it doesn't specify let's just round that off to another dollar so really you're making two bucks a day that's a competitive wage two bucks a day so the guy that started this his name was job Harryman job Harryman it's spelled j so that's how I'm pronouncing it job Harryman um he was running for the presidential office in 1900 as vice president vice president of the United States when that failed in 191 he was running for city mayor of Los Angeles that also failed so what what better to do next than to start your own colony a further reading this almost sounded more like like a a cult like it leaned towards a cult more than anything it wasn't that great of a place by today's standards there was there was still a lot of segregation going on uh certain races were not allowed in to the Colony the uh there was still only certain jobs that they would allow the women to do which brings me to this is on the California National Registry of storic places but let's uh let's check out this pit is a Bas you think it was a basement oh yeah there was stairs over there this probably was a basement but you know what do I always say about things like this out in the desert snake pit they can get in but they can't get out so Mrs 909 just pointed this out to me obviously they don't want somebody falling in oh yeah look at [Applause] that yeah it's a well does it look like there's water down there I can't really tell it's not that deep no but it will hurt yeah that's maybe 15 20 ft oh he's right there here's a big dog over there see him yeah I know it looks like it's had a some babies or something oh here's some stairs so this must have been you know another house or something right here at this point maybe the workshop there was a workshop here but uh can you guys see why at the beginning of the video I said I put this one on off for so long there's really not much here not much that's exciting uh there's some more things down here I can see off in the distance that we're going to check out and hopefully this video turns out to be okay it's a what the way it open an old tin can oh yeah look at that I forget what kind of bottle opener that's called it's like a barkeeper tool or something like that I forget exactly with that uh that key it's called a barkeeper key somebody let us know in the comments what what key was that called to open those type of uh cans that that's what they were worried about that's the most significant thing here are those three uh three pillars and the fireplace there's some little walls like this and there's another what is this another pit [Applause] is can see it yeah there another pipe this was another another well I think pretty sure this had to be a well cuz that looks like a some sort of Inlet another one of those cans yeah I'm sort of in man look at this I just seen this what do you guys think this is for you think this is like some sort of a drainage system they maybe had here that goes all the way down as far as I can see I mean it doesn't go all the way out there but there's uh more ruins out here it looks like it goes at least that far yeah Mrs 909 was pointing out that all that there looks like blood I don't know it could be blood does dry rust color because of all the iron in our blood all right so there's another another something e did it yeah yeah this one is uh no it's just a circle a fire pit no I wouldn't say a fire P not busy being born is busy dying H yeah oh look at this somebody found uh some old porcelain China yeah small China chunks of China yeah H interesting Holly move back he looks like he's one of those big will get big yeah a Mastiff not a Mas the one that Drew a lot yeah I don't know what that other one is that's a man we turned around those dogs were there look at they were like right up on us I knew we were getting ambushed they're coming this way I knew we were getting ambushed yeah uh-oh uh-oh uh-oh here they come this is not a good position to be in I think if it was aggressive it probably already would have came after us us but me she came back with friends no she came back with her babies they all look different where'd they go down there look at some creeping up over here yeah I seen that you guys see him they're just peeking their heads out over there they want to be famous you want to be YouTube famous wrong Channel guys drop your Vinos Vinos send some chewy all right they're moving on they're not worried about us let's get back to work so anyways there's this giant wall here I mean it's not giant it's not really all that tall but I think that was the door you think that was the door huh I don't know I I pretty sure they just blew a hole in it probably sometime recently cuz there looks like there's a big uh hole but if you look and you notice it almost looks like they were trying to build a fort here almost like the top of a castle cuz if you look they got little wannabe spers spers what have you noticed what are those look like yeah Graves yeah I thought of that there's more over there but you know what I don't think that's what it is I don't think that's what it is I didn't see anything or find anything about there being Graves here it wasn't inhabited really long enough for anybody to be buried I don't even know if people physically lived I know some did but all of them all at once yeah you know it could just be somebody messing you know with people's minds when they come out here somebody obviously recently was having a uh fire here maybe they came and camped next to the uh wannabe looking sort of graves yeah but Mrs 909 we have a just a little announcement right just a little one so what is your uh what is your announcement I don't know what to say well what are we what are we doing here what are we doing starting my own channel Channel you well we kind of already have your channel but we're going to start putting content fulllength content on there and what is it going to be about talking to the dead talking to the dead so you're trying to say we're going to be doing some ghost hunting yeah ghost hunting Spirit boxing and uh but that's not anything spooky anything horror related serial killers True Crime some true crime so yep that's uh yeah that's our little announcement that's our one of our announcements for January are you excited yes I'm excited all right guys so with that little announcement Mrs 909 she's going to be uh posting fulllength stuff on her uh or full length videos on her Channel you know horror related uh ghost hunting you know anything along the lines of spooky whether it's serious or even fun that's what we're going to be doing or that's what she's going to be doing over on her Channel still going to be all part of the uh the 909 Network and uh our what our third Channel this is our third Channel that's going to be under the uh 909 umbrella so hopefully we we don't really have a name for it yet um I think we're kind of leaning towards a spooky vibing I don't know if we're going to add like spooky Vib in with Mrs 909 if it's just going to be spooky vibin but you guys will always know her as Mrs 909 like I was saying I have heard from a very credible source that this place is haunted this person said this is probably the most haunted place that they've ever been to so not going to say too much but we're going to ghost hunt this probably going to start that here in the next 15 20 minutes just got to get a little bit more footage for this Channel and
