LIVING IN THE MOMENT

I like good strong words that mean something. Louisa May Alcott. That darling moment. That darling moment when time stops around you and all you can do is soak in memories. I mostly have these moments on vacation. It's true slow living when you get to close your eyes and breathe in the surrounding smells. I love feeling the breeze on my face and smelling the sea and feeling the heat from the sun. You ever had a memory and senses are connected to it? Like sometimes if you stop and live slowly you will have your senses connect to your memories and it's like you're actually still there when you begin to reminisce about it. I love little moments like these that you can just hold on to and make it last a lifetime. I know there are other ways one can practice slow living but vacation has a special place in my heart. Go ahead and comment down below a vacation that you just can't forget and that is so memorable to you. On vacation one can really soak up the moments without any other obligations. That's why I love it so much. You can forget all your troubles and all the things that are waiting for you back at home for a whole week. My family on my husband's side and I just recently visited some of the New England states. The views were incredible. Nothing like I had ever seen in North Carolina. Get this, one can live out in the country and still be minutes away from the beach and the city. In Maine it is like the ocean is in the mountains. This is just so crazy to me. You have to drive like an hour from where I live to get to the beach or two hours. You don't just get to drive 15 minutes down the road and be at the beach or be in the city. These are some awesome views of Connecticut. The New Haven Lighthouse is near the Long Island Sound. Also at the end of the video there are some clips of Gillett Castle. I have never seen a castle in person but ah, it was so romantic and just different, just so different. You just, you want to just get in a ball gown and twirl around it. Gillett Castle just made my cottagecore heart dance. I just loved the stonework, the colors. If you are ever in Connecticut you have to go to Gillett Castle National Park and visit. It has hiking and different things to do around it and you can actually go inside. Ah, just be still my heart. I could stay at this castle all day long, just all day long. I could make a day of it. There was also this cute little bridge that I made a couple of reels on and just fulfilled all my cottagecore dreams. Really, I want one of these bridges. My name is Abigail.
