Jets Positioned for BLOCKBUSTER Trade...
1 Video View·Oct 6, 2026
The New York Jets are positioned for a blockbuster trade as this team desperately needs more
offensive help with multiple injuries.
And with the player going by the wayside, this is exactly the time for Darren Muji to
go and make a key move, adding to the receiving core of this team that has been very lackluster
for a little bit now.
And for the New York Jets to ultimately get back on track this season, they're gonna need
more offensive help.
A lot of their guys are hurt and that obviously is an issue, but it's not always the case
that you get the chance to turn around a player who has had a cold start to their NFL
career, who is viewed as a future can't-miss superstar.
But here we are, that player is Marvin Harrison Jr., someone who the Jets are in better position
than anyone to acquire in a trade over the next couple of weeks.
We're gonna break down exactly why, and a move like that does help turn the season around,
as the Jets really do get a chance to continue to build up young talent while they undergo
this rebuilding.
Guys, we're gonna dive into all that, make sure to go ahead and subscribe if you are
not already subscribed to the channel, 58% of viewers are currently unsubscribed, it
is completely free to do, and we do have daily New York Jets content.
But guys, here's the thing, Marvin Harrison Jr. has not had the career that he hoped for
starting out.
Overall, he's been a solid player here and there, but this season is the worst of his
NFL career, and a guy who is coming in as a can't-miss wide receiver prospect, someone
who's going to be a superstar at the next level, just has not shown it yet.
He hasn't gotten there.
He has not been able to prove that he is a future star in the NFL, and the Jets now have
a chance to go make a deal for him on a move that would likely not cost them a whole lot.
Now, we've seen a lot of talk about Marvin, and here's what we've seen a lot of is that
he is an early trade candidate to keep an eye on.
Him, along with Brian Thomas Jr., the Jets have shown interest in, Jerry Judy, Kayvon
Thibodeau, Alex Heisman, Derron Payne, and Grover Stewart are all guys who have already
been listed as trade opportunities, and an anonymous AFC executive has said, forget where
he was drafted.
Watch him play.
He's like a third receiver with upside.
He's not fast.
He's not physical, and he doesn't do anything after the catch, but in New York, where the
expectations are now lowered, he won't be the wide receiver.
One, the Jets have Garrett Wilson.
They have Kenyon Sadiq, who is obviously super quiet, didn't get a single reception against
the Bears, but is still someone as well, and as they get Adonai Mitchell back, and as they
get other pieces back as well, they will be a team where they could build up Marvin
Harrison, and there's no immediate pressure for them to do so, but he will get a fair
chance.
Honestly, that's the type of move the Jets really should be looking at right now, being
one and three this season.
They obviously do still have moves they should make upcoming, but right now, guys, there
has been so much happening with them on that front, where they just need to find a way
to continue to win games, or really find a way to win games again after winning week
one, and though expectations are certainly lower for the Jets, they do still have a chance
to turn this thing around, but they're not expected to win a whole lot, even just getting
a 39% chance on Calixto to win more than seven games, and guys, here's the thing.
I do want to thank Calixto for sponsoring today's video, as on Calixto, you're trading
directly against other users, not the house like traditional sportsbooks.
You're buying yes or no contracts on the outcomes of events across sports, politics, and even
the weather.
For example, the Jets winning more than seven games.
Right now, it's only a 39% chance of that happening, and fans will continue to trade
on no, as nobody believes in the Jets, giving your chances even better, but right now, if
you are to trade $25 and the Jets winning seven or more, then you can win $64, and I
mentioned $25, because if you're interested in trying out Calixto, use the link in our
description or the pinned comment down below, and sign up using code DigestNFL, so you can
get $55 when you trade your first 25.
It is a great deal for you, and it does help the channel out a bunch, but looking at Marvin
Harrison, it's a tough situation.
I mean, three games in, he had four receptions and 73 yards, obviously not a good start at
all to his season.
It's been the worst start he's had to his season thus far, and honestly, things did
not get much better after week four.
He had one reception that game for 12 yards, putting him at five receptions and 85 yards.
Now, the big thing about that is, well, it was a touchdown.
He did get the touchdown off of it, so we did see some level of success for Marv right
there as he tried to really find some rhythm.
He now has a touchdown on the year, which obviously is helpful, but this is a guy whose
career has just not went the way it's supposed to, giving the Jets a pretty low ball, a chance
to make a pretty low ball offer.
I mean, overall, his first season was certainly his best.
He did have eight touchdowns.
He had 885 yards, and he looked like someone who was going to become the player he was
expected to be.
But down in 2025, where he only appeared in 10 games, or he only appeared in 12 games,
and only had 41 receptions for 600 yards, saw a clear regression.
His touchdowns literally halved, and now this year, he's fallen even further off.
Now, teams, I mean, the Cardinals don't see him the same way they once did, and teams
don't see him as much of a threat, but still, he is someone who definitely was part of an
interesting draft class that has a lot of talent, and Harrison still can turn it around.
No, he'll never be someone like Malik Nabors, and then obviously, we look at guys like Romo
Doonzay, who have been very good, and Xavier Worthy's been solid, and obviously, we go
down the line and see Vlad McConkie's been a solid player, Keion Coleman's been a solid
player, and Nye Mitchell with the Jets has been good when he's been around, but obviously,
he's dealing with an injury, which is one of the other reasons why the Jets really should
look at Marvin Harrison, because they desperately, desperately, desperately could use another
guy out there.
I mean, before Week 4, I mean, the Jets right there, and obviously, now things have changed,
because Sadiq didn't get a single reception, well, I guess things didn't change for him.
Brees Hall was out, Adonai Mitchell was out, and Isaiah Williams also did get a long touchdown
reception, so overall, the top guys, not much has changed for them.
I mean, this is a team that most of the guys on this list have been injured or currently
out right now, and obviously, that is a severe issue for the Jets going forward, because
they need more receiving help.
Now, is Harrison the best option out there?
When it comes to talent, no, but when it comes to probably being able to trade a day three
pick for him, it would make some sense to really look into this type of deal.
Now, Yahoo Sports mentioned the teams around the league are continuing to monitor Marvin
Harrison Jr.'s situation with the Cardinals, with one team forecasting his market value
as possibly a quality day three pick, so somewhere around the fourth round.
Now, obviously, again, that is a very, very big fall from grace, but now teams are looking
at him, and well, you can read this little meme that we added in right here that I did
not make.
I found it on Twitter.
I honestly don't remember where, unfortunately, but at the same time, we do have to understand
that Harrison is just not performing the way anyone expected him to, and it definitely
does raise some questions.
Now, Griffin S. Damaris did say that Mike LaFleur talked Friday, if there was any discussions
with Jacoby, about focusing on one receiver too much, and we did see that Marvin Harrison
has gotten way less targets than guys like Michael Wilson and Trey McBride, but it's
because he's not as valuable, and he's just worse than them.
Michael Wilson's been very good.
Trey McBride's a great tight end, arguably the best tight end in the league, so we look
at Harrison, and he's found himself as an odd man out.
With the Jets, he wouldn't, because right now, the Jets are dealing with a bunch of
injuries.
They need more playmakers.
It was a big issue against the Bears, and the Jets, their offense is completely and
utterly stagnant.
Now, Geno had a bad game, by far the worst game he's played this season, but at the same
time, what we also do see is a world where Harrison would get an opportunity to get receptions,
to show something, to really try to bounce back in New York.
Darren Bougie's taken chances on guys like that before, kind of happened with Adonai
Mitchell, who fell out of favor pretty quickly in Indianapolis, and then was part of the
sauce gardener trade.
Stuff like that does work, and frankly, I do think it's worth a gamble on a day three
pick.
The Jets are in a better position than anyone to make this trade, because they have the
most draft capital in the league.
They can trade a fourth round pick, and it's not going to be the end of the world, and
honestly, I think it's a worthwhile gamble.
What do you think?
