MAJOR Jets Move Imminent - Report Reveals HUGE Update...
Oct 14, 2026
A major New York Jets move is imminent as we have
a huge update to go over today as the Jets,
they have a pass rushing problem
and with a trade coming and David Bailey just carrying
the entire Jets pass rush this season,
it's no surprise that Darren Muji has taken a look
externally on how to help this problem out.
And because the Jets, it feels inevitable that
Will McDonald is going to get traded over the next couple of weeks.
It really does mean they're
going to have to add another pass rusher after they do trade McDonald
and now there is a new
name to look at guys and real quick before we dive
into it make sure to go ahead and subscribe
to Jets Digest because 58% of people watching
this video are not yet subscribed it is completely free
to do as we do have daily Jets content coming at you
and guys here's the thing as we all know
David Bailey broke out onto the scenes
and he has been incredibly incredibly effective for the New
York Jets recently the man has gone out there
and has been a dominant force having that three sack
game but outside of him there really has not been a ton of help
which is why the Jets took a look at
a longtime NFL veteran as the team
is exploring Matthew Judon as an edge option for the squad
right now Judon who's bashed around the NFL a bit
is a longtime Pro Bowl All-Pro player who now is
a veteran but the Jets they do like adding veterans onto
this team right now we look at
Minka Fitzpatrick to Mario Davis Harrison Phillips guys
of the Jets do think will help the young
players and also just help them win games today
as we did see it get announced that Tom Pelissero
reports that the Jets worked out veteran pass rusher Matthew Judon
on Tuesday now obviously
this is a huge deal for the Jets
because Judon would give them a guy who can totally come in
and still be an effective player he played one game
with the Dolphins this season and the Jets
they do really want to be able to slow teams down
and be a great defensive squad which we even saw
them against the Browns as you can see below
on the screen right there that they did do a great
job at holding the Browns and honestly there's
a team that against the Patriots wants to continue
to do that and right now there is a 53% chance
that the Jets do hold the Patriots below 43.5
points between the two teams
and guys right now one of the great things about this is that's what
the jets that's how they win games
and they do have a 53 chance on calci to do that and i do
want to thank calci for sponsoring today's video
because on Calci you're trading directly against
other users not the house like traditional sports
books you're buying yes or no contracts on the
outcomes of events across sports politics
and even the weather for example the Jets pulling this off
and they're being under 43.5 points scored
between the Jets and the Patriots
in the upcoming game between the two rivals.
And guys, if you trade $25 on it,
you can get a max payout of $47.39.
And I mentioned $25
because if you're interested in trying out Calci,

You can get $55 when you trade your first 25.
It's a great deal for you.
it helps the channel out a bunch as well
and guys honestly I think Matthew Judon helps the
Jets out a ton also because we look at him
and he's someone who can still be an effective player
I mean we've seen it even recently
the man overall has played now a good chunk of years in the NFL
starting in 2016 he's now 34 years old played one game now
in Miami excuse me with San Francisco
this season and did get a tackle
but that was really the entirety of his year now this is a
man who back in 2022 had 15.5 sacks one
of the best pass rushers in the league in 2022 with the
New England Patriots had three very good years
really two very good years there and then got
injured before that was good with the Ravens as well
and then would move on go into Atlanta for a
bit and not being able to recapture the magic
but that was the last year he really did have a big
impact after that we saw him with Miami he didn't play
a whole lot only started in three games so
it's safe to say he would somewhat be depth for the Jets
the Jets do have Joe Asai they have Kingsley
and Agbear and Judon would just be a veteran
to have on that squad as well neither of those guys
are super long-term veterans Judon
is and Judon's had experience being one of the best edge rushers
in the league a good voice for David Bailey to have around him
and also the replacement on some
depth chart areas for Will McDonald McDonald
that's not a good photo of him he's struggled
this year it's obvious the Jets are going to move
on from him in the coming weeks at this point he
just has not worked out at all
and honestly it just makes sense for them to look in a different
Agbear and Judon will help them in other areas I mean this is a man
who went from 12.5 sacks to
15.5 and then the production did fall below his New England peak
but now working out with the Jets
he gets a chance to not be a starter but while Asai
and Agbeer are getting more chances in there
what Judon will do is he'll be able to be an effective player
who again is a great veteran
leader in a similar role to what Harrison Phillips
is for the defensive tackles and that's a big
thing right here obviously he only played one game he does
not have any sacks right now but
Will McDonald he only has two in the five games he's played it has
not been enough to really stick
around and be like this is working super well it's
not working it's clearly not working everyone can
tell it's not working but there's positives about Judon overall he's
an experienced pass rush player
He's a good fit for a situational role.
Signing a free agent obviously means
they're not trading any picks for anyone.
And also, they get to evaluate him before committing.
And if he doesn't work well, they can obviously look in other areas.
But it is clear they're going to be moving forward
with a different kind of move.
Again, this does relate to everything happening right now.
Offensively, the Jets are not really going to change much.
But defensively is where they will.
It was mentioned by Mike Morales that the Cowboys will probably
be looking at a third or fourth round pick.
in exchange for Will McDonald, the trade they would likely
do to add their pass rush and
it does help for the Jets overall, I mean
this is an area where they would want to be able to
perform and frankly it would give a real defined depth role
because he would just supplement the
existing edge rush rotation guys like Acai
and Bailey who I would imagine would be the starters
while earning snaps through his performance
and obviously none of us are expecting a guy who was
putting up 15.5 sacks but the mentoring benefit
for a guy like David Bailey would be huge Bailey
doesn't necessarily have some mentor at his position
that would change with Judon, he would
be able to go in there and be a mentor to a man
who looks like a future NFL superstar and frankly
that is a big thing for the Jets
to do and it's something they really should do and after they
trade McDonald they will have money freed up
of course he's only making a cap hit of 5.2 million
dollars this season, next season would be the big jump
on that fifth-year option but the Jets they
don't even want them on in that fifth year
so that'll be a decision for a team like Dallas or
whoever else would make the trade really go through
that would be what happens but here's
the positive about it, they could explore Judon
without overcommitting and keep David Bailey's
development the central cause of all
this while preserving depth after they move McDonald and
also judging their whole rotation, not the name, it would help
the team overall and I do want to know
guys what would you think about
this move I mean would you consider adding Judon and moving on
from McDonald comment A if yes Judon fits
and if the return is right comment B add Judon but keep
Will McDonald or C keep things as it
is don't trade Will McDonald hope he breaks out let me
know what you guys think in the comments down below
or also comment if you just want to see
the Jets look at someone else
in the edge rushing well obviously I still really do think that we are
going to see Will McDonald get moved
on for him with the Jets it feels like it's time it just feels
like it makes sense for the Jets right now
and on top of that it feels like the Jets are in a very
very very good position to bring in a veteran
and you can't argue with stuff like that in my opinion
