He has HACKED the NBA..What a STEAL...

I never thought I would say this in 2025 but he's 22 still a vet in the game and he's super cool still a threat at the same Welcome back to Hawk's Digest everybody I am Chris Tipmore. Hey if you guys were here earlier for my Trey Young video welcome back and if you did not see that Trey Young video it will be posted at the end of this video or you can just go back and watch that video before you come to this one either way thanks for watching this video right here is surrounded around an Atlanta Hawks player who came over in a trade and is just making waves and he is now being mentioned along with one of the greatest if not the greatest player that has ever played the game of basketball before i get into it y'all know how i like to do real quick just real quick thank y'all to everybody who is subscribed to Hawks Digest making us one of your first listens and if you have not yet hit that subscribe button ask a friend about how what they think about Hawks Digest and i'm pretty sure by the time they're done you'll be ready to subscribe all right guys so let's get into it this video right here is definitely surrounded around Dyson Daniels and how he came over in the trade and in his first season with the Atlanta Hawks in 2025 he is being mentioned with if not the greatest one of the greatest basketball players to have ever graced the court and i'm talking about in Michael Jeffrey Jordan now quick history lesson on how Dyson is even being mentioned with MJ back in 1987 1988 Michael Jordan obtained an individual award not only winning the MVP in that year he also won the Defensive Player of the Year yes as a guard Michael Jordan played all 82 games and he led the Chicago Bulls with a 3.2 steals record and also a 1.6 blocks per game totaling in a 390 total stocks what are stocks that are those are steals plus blocks they combined it and you get stocks so Jordan led the league in both as a guard and right now Dyson Daniels 62 games in well 63 games in and still 14 games left to go so he has 62 games in 14 left to go and honestly this guy right here ever since uh Victor Wembanyama went down with the season-ending injury or should I say health condition health scare really Dyson Daniels should be the front runner Dyson Daniels is playing in a league to where there is no hand checking yet he is still averaging three steals per game that is unheard of it is tougher now to play defense in a game that is catered to the offensive player and Dyson Daniels still plays defense very very well right now Dyson Daniels is moving up the later the ladder board on this and just keep this in mind he has over 237 stocks and if he keeps it up he'll be the first guard since the great MJ to lead the league in this steals and blocks making it stocks now also guys Dyson Daniels right now Just talking about steals Dyson Daniels has 191 steals The next closest man to him Is Shai Gilgeous-Alexander Who's having an MVP-ish type campaign himself But he only has 117 steals Do you see that gap? That's over a 70 steal gap That Dyson Daniels has Over the next guy next to him It is tough to play defense in this league i understand you have the shot blockers but guys like Wimby and Triple J, those guys are tall, those guys are are you know some rim defenders and they're doing their Dyson Daniels have to go out every night and guard the best player every single night and he still guaranteed at least one steal every single night so that means no matter what your point guard is doing no matter who your point guard is, the ball is going the other way, okay eventually the ball is going the other way and more stats about Dyson Daniels, guys, in addition Daniels has recorded three or more steals in 36 games and that is the most since Rajon Rondo former Hawk who did it in 38 games in the 2009-2010 season, most likely Dyson is going to break that record, he still has plenty of games left to do it, right, right? Also we got to think about this, now take this with a grain of salt, Ben Simmons who's a two-time NBA All-Defensive Team first team at that selection has raved about Dyson Daniels himself saying how he likes Dyson Daniels game likes how he plays defense and he really Ben Simmons has already said it I don't see how you can't give this award to Dyson Daniels, another thing, Dyson Daniels also tied Ricky Rubio for the most steals in a single season back in 2013-2014, Ricky Rubio had 191 steals for the season Dyson still has 14 games left so I'm looking for Dyson to be over 200 steals, I'm looking for him to lead the league in stocks and reach this plateau that Michael Jordan reached back in 1987-88 and being one of those guys to just take over the league, remember Dyson said when he started playing for the Hawks and he came here being a defensive player and being a first team or All-NBA team defense was something that he wanted, he may get more than what he bargained for if he can continue this pace Dyson Daniels could be a Defensive Player of the Year, it's going to be tough but if he keeps on and keeps at it, I think you've got to give Dyson Daniels the nod, guys all I gotta say is rumble young man rumble and until next time guys, peace and blessings to you all, amen, make sure you guys come back for our next video but here at Hawks Digest and again if you didn't catch that Trey Young video earlier definitely would love to catch your thoughts about it so please either at the end of this video make sure you catch it or go back and watch Alright, guys. Deuces.
