out the reaction with magnesium, so your Organometallic compounds are formed, and one of those organometallic compounds Example is your Grignard reagent, come here, I'll explain everything to you What happens is that the organic compounds you have, like the ones I've mentioned Here, come on, let's go for Methyl Chloride. When you take Methyl Chloride Reaction with magnesium is fine, and in the presence of What is dry ether, child, with magnesium? How much is the charge? 2, meaning you must have noticed that Magnesium always bonds with two other atoms. Magnesium does this. What is the charge of each ion in the compound MgCl₂? 2 is present, and 1 is present for Chlorine, so one Magnesium How many Chlorines will be required to join in the 2nd Reaction? It won't be here, because if it were here Now, brother, here comes an important spell What happens now is that magnesium gets substituted in the middle. So here, two charges start appearing for him, right? And it will become Cs3 Mg; what could you call this? Right here, for sure Alright, and what have you become in the end, sir? What has become of the chloride? Is it magnesium chloride? Tell me, please. This reagent is called Grignard Reagent by children. What is this called? Grignard Reagent I'll take care of it right away. The child who is your Methyl Magnesium Chloride If there is magnesium in it, then it is a metal. So a positive charge comes to it. And what does he have in his other arm? If it is chloride, then negative If the child is positive, then Automatically, whatever your Alkyl Magnesium is present in Grignard reagents, which contain an alkyl group. If the child is this nucleophile, where will it go? Next to the electrophile Keep these things in mind You should also be aware of the charges related to this bill. Come on Now let's see what happens if we Uses of Grignard Reagent I mean, if you take a Grignard reagent We will also see this here So let's see Action of Grignard Reagent Look here. Action of Grignard Reagent On ammonia What does ammonia mean? Anesthetic Alright, let's take a look. that if you use a Grignard reagent I'll attack you with ammonia. So what is the possible product? It will get Alright .isdir Looking with a sense of mindfulness OK Let's see Okay, just focus. Look here This is mine. Methylmagnesium chloride I am using it in this. Ammonia The child is this Ammonia What we use This is alcoholic ammonia. And something in this Striking Some pressure is also felt. If you don't know So I'll tell you Ammonia If you want to break it down It doesn't come. So the kid, well Ammonia breaks down in such a way Never have I heard such a thing. NH₂ It brakes into minus. And H Alright I finally understood it. Tell me what will happen now Did you know? That is precisely it Suri Suri Suri Did you know? that this What did you see, exactly? What will happen to the one with the binas? Amji, connect to this Wi-Fi. Who will it connect to? Connect to Enes Two I mean, what did you see when I did Grignard reagent Applied to any molecule Just to read such reactions Definitely subscribe to Flies Atu J Channel. But look at one of them right here with me that this channel will teach you organic chemistry This physical chemistry will teach you such a thing. See you in the next video
