Video Summary
AI GeneratedA high-energy fishing expedition on the Pacific Ocean where a crew, guided by Teddy Tufel, travels 60 miles offshore to hunt tuna. The trip is a massive success, resulting in a catch of 42 tuna through a combination of trolling and jigging, concluding with the crew filleting the haul.

Let's get into the video.
This is a super fun one.
Tuna fishing.
I wish I was there, but I wasn't.
You guys are going to love it.
What is up all my fishy friends.
It is early in the morning and we're down here fishing with a good friend, Ted
two full pro fish guide service.
And we pulled an audible last night, but when the wind that weather rain, sunshine
here on the Pacific ocean, decide to lay down for us and do something that doesn't
do very often and allow us to go out and chase some tuna.
That's right.
We're headed about 60 miles offshore.
We've got the whole crew here today and we are going to have us some fun catching
some tuna right now.
We're lining up rods.
Like I said, we pull an audible.
So this is one of those things, the whole group jumps in last night.
We're cleaning the fish, rigging rods.
It's on folks.
We're headed out.
Stay tuned.
This is going to be fun.
So we're close.
We'll try and get out to like the 55 probably.
And then start drawing, you know, when you're this far out in the ocean, it's a
big place, right?
And so, you know, we know that you're out here somewhere and we're looking for
things like, uh, you know, birds or, uh, bait ball feeding tuna jumpers, anything
to give us some indication of a good place to start.
And so Teddy saw some birds working, slowed down, check it out because we're
right at that transition where we're going to get from, you know, that
temperature change we want and the color change in the water.
So we're right there on the verge.
So here come the tuna.
God, it feels good.
One thing fun about trolling for tuna is the speed you go, right?
And the ground you're covered and you can see we're flying.
We got plugs out.
We've got skippers across the back.
Things are going to happen.
When these things hit these rods, like they absolutely destroy them, like smoke
them, it'd be like locking me in a closet for two days and then throwing me a
cheeseburger.
Right here.
Yeah.
They're boiling.
They're boiling right here, right here, right off our side, right off our
starboard, right here.
It's the one time I scream.
I'm usually pretty calm, but man, get those rods out.
You know, jig, jig, jig, net, uh, just the chaos.
I just, nothing like it.
Okay, guys, bring them in.
We'll get back on the troll here.
Oh, they're underneath the boat.
They're streaking under the boat.
Like 40, 50 foot.
Let's see if we can get them on the troll.
I was like, yeah, no, I've seen them hopping through the wave.
And I was like, what the hell?
They were jumping all over the side of the boat.
So this is what gets your blood boiling.
Like you're, you're running out in the middle of the ocean.
We're out in 5,000 feet of water, 60 miles offshore.
And all of a sudden you see what looks like seal pups hopping through a wave.
And it's like, holy crap.
There they are.
Teddy spins the boat.
We get them out.
We start throwing trolling rods out.
Next thing we know, they're jumping beside the boat.
We start dropping gear.
They drop back down.
We get back on the troll.
Tuna fishing.
Get you going.
Here, here, hand it over.
Nope.
Not you, Tommy.
AJ, you got it.
Let's bring in some of these rods, Terry.
Yep, Tom, let's get some jigs.
All right.
We've got our first hookup.
Stinger swim bait rod right off the top.
So, uh, we're going to pull this one in and see if we can't jig up a few more.
A lot of times you bring in one tuna and the rest of them will follow up.
Get a rod in your hand, Jerry.
I got to get a rod in my hand.
I'm getting yelled at by Teddy.
Yes.
Yeah.
That's a fatty, too.
Bang.
Fish, fish.
Oh, I just put this thing.
Back out the back, just dropped it out.
And she's literally washing her hands from the last big tuna we caught.
And boom, as soon as Tommy gets this in, we're going to hand this to Tom Tom.
And Tom Tom's going to go tuna battling.
Here it comes, little guy.
Are you ready, Tommy?
Tommy, are you ready for this?
Are you ready?
I want to hear you say, are you ready?
Get him, Tommy.
Get him.
You got him, bud.
You're going to sleep good on the way home.
Get him, buddy.
Come on, Tommy.
You got him, Tommy.
Show him your mean face.
Show him your mean face, Tom.
We like to net our tuna, too, just so we don't have any accidental gaff marks in
the meat.
That happens once in a while.
So it's nice when you can get them to the net, especially with these single hooks.
Why don't you put that on your hip?
Fish on.
All right.
Under the boat, right under the boat.
Yeah, nice and easy.
That a girl, babe.
Real, real, real.
Simple.
Dude, that's such a fat tuna.
Kick him right out the net.
Fat tuna, dude.
This is tunafication right here.
Jared, come on.
Hook one up, big guy.
Hook him up.
Nice.
Oh, this is the fun stuff right here in the middle of nowhere, catching tunas one,
two, three at a time, going for four.
Right.
That is a huge tuna.
Oh, my gosh.
That adds up a lot when we can get one on the troll and then, you know, stick a few
on jigs or dead bait, whatever.
Hey, man, all I know is they all stack up.
They all taste the same.
And these three are going home, Teddy.
We're doing barbecued bacon wrapped little loins tonight.
You know it.
Oh, crab stuff, them suckers.
Oh, hey, man.
We're talking about a meal here, not just a breakfast, all right?
Hey.
It's just down its throat.
Oh, it's twitching.
It's like a dog wagging its tail.
Oh, there you go.
You eat it.
You take a bite and I'll eat the rest.
So it's kind of a time honored tradition for tuna fishermen.
When you come out, it's good juju for the boat.
The first tuna you catch, you take a bite out of the heart.
So here we go.
My mouth's dry anyways.
Part of the ship, part of the crew.
Yep.
You're gonna need some water.
Bite down.
Oh, I'll use the rest of it.
I don't want to go alone.
Can't have her go at it alone.
It's not real bad.
Don't throw up.
Spin it out.
Get it down.
Take a swig of some energy drink.
Teddy two full baby from Tillamook.
We're killing it out here.
I got heart in my teeth.
Someone needs to grab this for me.
Oh, you just got.
Riley got a face shot.
Facial baby.
Here Riley.
Oh, you gotta love this.
Whoa.
We got a father son off right now.
We got a hunter dad off right here.
Oh, he looks serious.
Riley, you don't knock my tuna off.
God, this is fun.
Troll, catch fish, laugh, joke, get bloody, troll, catch fish.
Oh, they're swimming around.
Okay.
Reel that in.
Lift them right in.
There you go.
See ya.
Let's get the jig, Jared.
Get the jig, buddy.
I gotta find a jig.
You got a line?
There's one right here.
40 feet.
Going down.
Oh, he ate it on the way down.
He ate it on the way down.
Yeah.
We got a quad.
Oh, he ate it on the way down.
That's a cute one.
That's a bonita.
Bonita.
This is so fun.
We're going to do some of the coolest things.
We were making an audible yesterday.
You know, from doing what we were going to do, coming out here,
planning this, rearranging the whole boat, rearranging our whole schedule,
getting up two hours earlier.
Man, this is so worth it.
Bonkey, bonkey, bonkey, bonkey, bonkey, bonkey.
That's awesome.
Nice work, Teddy.
Nice work, Riley.
We were just moving back to the troll.
Hunter got one on.
I got two in my hands.
There's two more on the deck.
It's slippery out here.
It's slippery.
Dig him, dig him, dig him, dig him.
The long run.
I don't know why I grabbed it.
It's like six miles back.
Literally, this tuna just swam out of Garibaldi this morning.
I know we had 25 and we lost a half dozen or a dozen others, you know,
would hook up and drop off or just come and unbutton, but man, for your
first trip out in the water for tuna this year, that was a sick ride, Teddy.
That was a fun one.
It was a lot of fun.
I definitely enjoyed it.
Uh, first trip of the year, working out some kinks, like, uh, stuff.
We've got to get a little more dialed, but it was good.
Had a great day.
Good thing we decided to reel one at a time.
You know, anytime we clear rods, we always do one at a time, one,
cause we're all fish addicts.
And we think we got one more shot, but that's exactly why.
Cause we did have one more shot.
We got one more tuna on.
Now we're going to deploy the jigs, see if we can't hook a few more up to
toss in the ice slurry before we head back east.
Double, double, double.
Father, son doubles.
That's how you should spend a Friday.
That's a big old tuner.
That's a big old tuner right there.
Always the best part right here.
Look at this thing.
Fresh out of the water.
Look at the colors on that thing.
Isn't that cool?
Little eyeball fins.
What a neat fish.
I want to get 18, 19 pound fish.
Just a thick, heavy beast all day long with Teddy, man.
We've been just killing it.
This is nuts.
Cheers, cheers, cheers, cheers, cheers.
I've seen the bidet and ice cold water.
I mean, there's probably something in the mix for later, but for now tuna
nunchucks, look at this.
I'm like Jackie Chan of tuna.
So our official count was 42, 42 tunas.
Hit the deck, hit the boat, hit the live.
Well, hanging right here.
We're getting ready to fillet them up, dice them up and split them up.
So you want to come have some fun.
You come to Tillamook Orton with Teddy Tufel to catch some tunas.
If you can say that three times fast, he may give you a discount.
Thanks, Teddy.
You killed it today.
Good job.
Hold him up, Tommy.
Come on, Tommy.
Come on, Tom.
We're going for gold, not silver here.
Get up there, buddy.
You have a bloodline right here.
So you want to go on both sides of that.
And you have your top one and your bottom line.
So, and you'll just follow down the backbone.
It's easier when they're cold too, because you can roll it right off.
Yeah, you can.
And that's the line.
Then we'll have somebody trim off that bloodline.
Do you want to get that out?
Which is, it's pretty easy.
You kind of real sharp knife.
You'll just kind of roll it off.
Has the ribs in it.
So you got to kind of follow it through and up, and then we'll just trim those.
We'll set those in a pile.
And then we're going to have some guys flying and some guys trimming.
I like to trim.
It's a perfect job.
You can do whatever.
Yep.
And you'll be really careful with the first few.
And then when we have 40 of them, you'll learn the economy cut.
And you just kind of start hacking away a little bit.
I kind of like to think of myself as Picasso with a knife.
I create my own art.
Yeah.
With the fruit comes the spoils.
As you can see, we're here filleting 42 tuna, a lot of tuna loins.
When each tuna has four loins for you mathematicians, you
can go ahead and add that up.
I'm not going to, because I'm greasy and tuna-y and super happy because we
had an amazing day today on the Pacific ocean.
I hope that you guys stay tuned.
Click the old, the bells, all the whistles, all the you're supposed
to do for all this YouTube stuff.
And I hope you enjoyed the video.
We had a great day.
You want to come have some fun.
You hit my buddy.
Take you full up.
Come out here.
Get some tuna, some bottom fish and lean cod salmon.
Whatever you want to do.
It's a fun ride, folks.
I hope you enjoyed this.
I hope you enjoyed seeing a hundred again.
Now he's out of hiding like Sasquatch.
Thanks for tuning in folks.
Y'all have a great day.
I'm going to finish doing what I'm doing here.
I got some work ahead of me.
Stay addicted folks.
