Fox News contributor Clay Travis said he sides with The View co-host Sunny Hostin
regarding her statements on the Cornell University sexual assault case.
Travis tweeted,
I agree with everything Sunny Hostin says here about the alleged Cornell R case.
And no, I have not been hacked. She's 100% right.
Hostin pointed out that the Cornell case is being reported unfairly.
She read from the victim's nine-page statement emphasizing legal definitions around consent.
Hostin argued,
Voluntary intoxication or drug use that merely impairs judgment
does not legally constitute an inability to consent to sexual activity.
She criticized the media for plastering pictures of the young men involved,
stating they were being judged before any official adjudication.
Hostin defended her position by saying,
I'm dealing with the facts.
On the next day,
Hostin criticized Lindsay Clancy's defense attorney for arguing there was no evidence against her.
Hostin noted,
I don't understand how you can spend an entire trial arguing that she did it.
Travis reiterated,
Sunny Hostin is 100% correct again.
He added,
It's an upside-down world.
Credit to her again.
Both cases remain unresolved,
with allegations and mistrials clouding the judicial paths.
Doe's civil suit against seven fraternity members highlights issues of consent and responsibility.
The conversations surrounding these cases continue to stir public interest and scrutiny.
And the next hearing in Clancy's case is scheduled for November 20th.
