so the topic of today's video Adventure is In-N-Out Burger welcome everybody back to 909 Adventures today we're at oh Focus today we're at the In-N-Out Museum right here in Baldwin Park it is a replica of the very first In-N-Out that is the subject of today's video by the way I'm out with my daughter Alysa and everybody knows Mrs 909 she looks so happy to be here today so we're going to do a few things guys probably something hopefully that has never been here never been done on YouTube visiting the In-N-Out Burger Museum we're going to go eat an In-N-Out burger and we're going to go visit the founders grave sites hopefully something that's never been done something a little twist let's get this video started by the way I'm drinking a Red Bull and they they sell sold cigarettes I guess a cigarette vending machine look at this sign guys this is a replica of original sign the original sign but that is a sign an older sign that used to be here when I guess it was an operation but this was a replica of the very first sign they had no delay I kind of wish they still had these signs so an old uh cigarette vending machine huh Lucky Strikes camels only for a penny or a pack for 20 oh so you can get a single back when it was legal to sell singles and that 20 cents for the whole pack yeah miners forbid to to use this machine under something prohibited by law probably of the law prohibited of the law and then they had a mirror for your convenience I wanted to talk a little bit about Harry J Snider they lived in the area right around the corner I was trying to do a little research this morning to find where he originally lived uh supposedly they lived in the area but I I couldn't find the address but in andout is famous for being the first having the first drive-thru um I read a story about him actually in his garage tinkering around on how to make the two-way speaker so he is more than likely the inventor well not more than likely I believe in and out is credited which is you know that is his and his wife ester's creation for being the creator of the modern day drive-thru and this was their menu cold drinks 10 cents french fries 15 cheeseburgers 30 and a burger for 25 and take us back to then let's uh let's go talk to him real quick all right so uh may I ask what your name is Kenny all right nice to meet you Kenny I'm Jeff nice to meet you um what can you tell us about the uh the In-N-Out Museum here so this is replica of the original the original only stood for about 6 years from 1954 to or 1948 to 1954 well you're good still right here by the freeway for about 6 years freeway came they tore it down rebuilt it here so the wal restaurant here uhhuh and this what up until 2003 finally close it down we open up the current one the other side of the freeway okay this stood vacant till about 2010 we finally demolished we directed this uh R 2014 wow very very interesting this is is pretty cool so this is exactly how it looked back in was it 1948 yeah maybe a little bit smaller I think it was like a 10 by8 so a little bit narrower okay as far as WID pretty good very cool yeah this is this is all this is all real stuff then right yeah uh this is all replicated I believe original original original the so cool so cool um can I all right cool all right guys we're going to go in all right so this this is it huh oh yeah this is the uh fryer where you guys would have made the fries very cool oh we got some pictures here I wasn't expecting to see that so was this a aerial view of the uh yeah this area uhhuh so this was it right here oh okay we went to the freeway here that was their house and then the C University store restaurant we right about here okay very interesting now do you know if their house is still standing no it's okay that's I was trying to find their address you know obviously looking on the internet couldn't find it give you an idea me we the in and outside the arrow side at the base of It kind of sat right there oh really okay interesting interesting that's a real working little radio huh very cool and this would be the potato pillar cheese slicer cheese slicer had a whole brick of American cheese uhhuh and now we get very cool I love seeing all this uh the yeah there you go that's where you would make the fries and they they still use something very similar we do it's a lot bigger and okay he I I can imagine why and [Music] yeah thank you STI perfect so Mrs 909 is going to put our Mark in there so if you guys come here anytime soon flip back a couple pages and you'll probably find us so this is part of the uh the uh drive-thru system right original speaker box that is pretty cool you scratch and smell the speaker you like Coke right uhhuh they smell like Coke it do it does oh yeah yeah you grab stickers too you going to get a hat you got to get a hat don't worry I won't put put it on now is there you guys have drinks in there you can look in there okay so original this was original oh you got a couple of things things just some cleaning supplies and look at those actually old older sodas in there that's kind of cool very cool and you guys got coffee pots oh yeah coffee us from the beginning yeah I mean you would kind of have to oh yeah and uh like a period correct fan oh yeah anything in the fridge just a lunch box huh oh yeah you can put water in there for the uh summer okay to keep it cool so yeah exactly all right well I guess that's about it huh there we go all right well thank you for uh showing us around really appreciate it it was nice meeting you Kenny and uh I guess that's it for here all right so Ally you wanted to show us what you just found I just found the r back it's like really small yeah it is really small a cutting board in sink people must have been really small back in the 40s and 50s look at that I mean you couldn't even stand up from there guys really tiny little bathroom what else do we got here the oh that's actually on that first day looks pretty nice in 1948 and I 10 by 10 just like this Harry and Esther so 57 Burgers wow that 57 Burgers that's like that's not bad for your first day of work nobody knows what you're about yeah but look at their corporation now yeah I know I I believe I was reading they have well I don't know maybe we should ask Google let's ask Google okay so Alissa just did our research here there's only 400 locations in the state of Arizona California Colorado Idaho Nevada or Texas and Utah I didn't know they had one in Texas I know I I think I think it's new I think it's new relatively well relatively new and they're planning an expansion into New Mexico oh so basically the western United States is the only place they're at yeah this kind of actually looking a little bit closer to the road but Alyssa actually found the grave before I did good job so uh here they are this is uh Harry Snider his wife Esther Snider these are the founders of in and- Out Burger I mean look at uh he died in 1976 of lung cancer she died 200 yeah so he died 1976 of lung cancer and look how much longer she lived lived after him a lot longer 30 years yeah that's that's a long time that's a long time to be alone and as far as I know she never remarried she never remarried and uh yeah so you know I have a lot of viewers that are from Canada so you know you guys will be happy to know that Harry Snider Founder co-founder was born in Vancouver Canada love Husband father and friend may you rest in peace our love for you will never end he was a hardworking man who set goals met them and always strived for the best was a leader not a follower enjoyed people good friends like to golf as you can see here you got a uh a golf ball and uh couple of wedges let's see where was I like to golf an outspoken individual a person we could always depend on for advice may we inherit some of his strength honesty enthusiasm courage and a positive outlook on life he never gave up so here's his wife hers reads she cared and she made a difference she loved and was loved in return now in a kingdom we cannot see she will go in go on in eternity there's a Bible verse that says well done do good th good and faithful servant Matthew 25 very good so these are the snyers co-founders of In and Out Burger very cool so Ally we just went to the museum we're here at their graves paying our final respects there's only one more thing to do we have to get a burger we got to get a burger let's go menu tomato there actually prices still aren't bad all right so this one seems to be a little bit more decorated maybe because it's the hometown closest to original and we're right outside of of in out University inan out University so we're going to go check that out see if there's any sort of offerings over there as well got some more stickers everybody got some and uh they seem to have a little bit more offerings for drinks as well let me show you guys they so I don't know I don't I haven't seen pink lemonade at others signature pink lemonade signature very cool it's like the r what is all that up there I guess that would be pulp yeah so very cool so Mrs 909 you got a drink um I don't ever ever bring religion into this but In-N-Out is a christian-based company and there's a Bible verse under every every cup John 3:16 so if that's what you guys are into you guys can look that up and well your shake cup will have one too yep well every cup has the same Bible verse oh same Bible verse not a different one yep it is a different one or same one no it's the same one so I stand corrected for the smaller green cups usually come with a shake it is a different bible verse Proverbs 35 and then now Burger look so you guys are enjoying those fries I don't normally enjoy them but let me try them cuz you guys are saying these are good these are the best in and out fries I've ever had those are questions that they're good for in and out yes 38 please 38 okay so Ally what did you get did you just wind up going with the the basic double double there no it's just a cheeseburger with lettuce pickles and grilled onions no tomato okay so let's give it a taste T yes very good and you you got the uh the full meal with the chocolate shake there I love their shakes there shakes good and Mrs 909 didn't even wait to take the first bite and what did you get a double double a double double double double boiling trouble yep guess number 38 and I went number 38 Flying Dutchman that is not going to feed no it's not I I this is my first time ordering a Flying Dutchman and for some reason I thought it was wrapped in lettuce onion yeah that's a protein Burger yeah I like them like that and the strawberry shake it looks like they got a little dribble of chocolate there at least I hope that's chocolate yeah all right guys so there it is the Flying Dutchman yes pleas thank you I kind of like the protein style burgers it seem to taste a little bit more if I ever have the option to eat a burger without a bun I usually do it it's pretty good I have to say this is probably the best in and out I've ever been to I'll be honest guys I don't normally care for In-N-Out we had it last weekend just didn't do it for me yeah it it's kind of early in the morning so that's probably helping out the quality control but again being just on the other side of the freeway from the museum and being sharing a parking lot with uh without University is probably what's uh you know helping that quality but I mean don't get me wrong the quality is always good but just it's a little bit better at this one here in Baldwin Park all right so this is the In-N-Out company store right outside of the UN Out burger that we just say that but it is closed on Sundays you know when I was a kid I remember all In-N-Outs being closed on Sundays kind of like Chick-fil-A and uh what other What other stores are Hobby Lobby Hobby Lobby a lot of those stores that are closed on Sundays I remember in and out being one of them too bad we can't get in there cloes on Sundays all right guys that's going to do it I really hope you guys enjoyed this one I'm hoping something a little different something that's not on YouTube yet um
