Hello and welcome to MXB Golf
My name is Max Persson and today I will teach you how to start a swing in the best possible way
It will help us create more power have a better swing plan get the club on a better path and in that way create better results in your golf
This is a great way to train both indoors during the winter and outdoors during the summer
I will show you two different types of exercises that can really help you So
now let's get started
Here I have set up a small station from which we will start today
We will go through how we actually start our descent and how it will affect our results simply
I lift and swing up to the top of my backswing
Here I am
Now I will start my swing
I want it to start with a movement in its lead before I rotate
So as you can see from the top of my swing my hip should move forward before my whole body rotates
What happens if I don't move forward
Well I'll swing back
Here
If I just rotate my hands will come outwards
My weight will be on the right leg
I will swing out and in and stay hanging
I often hit a slice here
It's a very high high golf course
So this is a very important part to take with you
The problem that often occurs is that we know we need to rotate
We just don't know how or what to start with
Men I said that the hip starts to slide before the rotation comes
So first of all How you check if I have a problem with this
First we can look at whether we hit a slice or a very high ball flight
This can be a bit of a dead giveaway which is what I call
it But if you really want to check
Now you have seen that I have placed a sight pin here
Aimed at the target
Approximately at knee height on myself
This should in a way give me feedback on whether I behaved properly or not
So if I stand up
Swing back
If I now swing and rotate where I am
Then my knee will hit
the pin If I take care of myself however
I swing up I glide sideways and rotate
Then my knee manages to avoid hitting the pin
As simple as that
So you have a sight pin It can be a broken shaft or anything else
Insert it in the way you see here
About a couple of centimeters from
the knee Swing up
And strike through
We can handle it without touching it then we don't really have the same problem
We have a problem there and we really need to work on it
And how do we go about working on this
We have somewhat different ways of doing it naturally
But a first step for someone who has major problems with this
Then I would remove all the tools that are there
I would just take you straight up and down
Put you in a golf position without the club
Place your arms across your chest
Swing back
And then simply train yourself to feel the hips sliding toward the target
That little movement
right Arms straight
down Cross over the
chest Swing back
Move your hips
Move your hips
And then we can follow
Just to get a feel for how the movement itself should be done
We are beginning to feel that we have control again
Then we can take up our beloved golf clubs and our beloved putting stick again
We take out a ball
Here we have it
We can position ourselves for the ball here and I have a iron in my hand
Position ourselves
Then on the outside of my foot
I'm at a higher level
Stick the pin there There
we go
Suddenly we have a target here
So that I can swing back
It's pretty close touching my
hip So
Swing back
Step forward
Oh and when I touch it
Go through it
Not harder than that
Then I get constant feedback about it
My hip is going to slip
If it slips too much
Then we'll go all the way through the pin
The pin will probably fall over
I know immediately
if I'm doing
it right or
not So swing up Glide And break through There
we have a few different ones
A very simple way to get it right
The whole swing is actually in the right direction
To use it properly
Try it out at
home Leave a comment on how it goes
Tell me if you have seen any results
Oh and if you actually have this problem
Do you have any urgent questions Contact me and I promise to respond
As soon as I can Good luck
with the training And
go hard
