Home is the nicest word there is. Laura Ingalls Wilder.
Welcome back to the Cottage Letterbox. In this video, I'm going to be giving you four
cottage decor ideas. I have spent the last couple of months cultivating my cottage core design
and I would love to share these pieces with you today. I like how the cottage core design
can look different for each person. One can live in a cottage by the sea, or the countryside,
or even the big woods. Each cottage is uniquely different from the other and is all about
personal preference. My cottage style reminds me of an old farm cottage with lots of stones,
flowers, baskets, vintage dishes, and old books. What is your cottage style? Comment down below.
I feel like flowers are a big part of the cottage core design. If you look throughout all the
cottage core designs, you will see floral prints and flowers. You will see fresh flowers cut to
put in vases all around the house. You will see all sorts of dried flowers stuck everywhere.
And I do believe the fresh cut flowers and the dried flowers, any type of flower really,
fits in with the old cottage design. Flowers are the way to go in whatever cottage core design
you choose. Old books fit into my design very well. I think an old book can bring so much value
to your home. I was so very excited when I found this Jane Eyre novel on Amazon. If you didn't know,
growing up as a teenager, Jane Eyre was one of my favorite books. I was so thrilled when I
saw this beautiful floral print on Amazon. I wanted to get it to lay out in my future home
so that my company could come over and see something valuable on the table and maybe
flip through it. And not only is it a beautiful piece, they could also pick it up and read it
and enjoy it just as much as I have enjoyed it in the past. So I am also trying to collect
beautiful magazines like a very new magazine called Cottage Core. It has very pleasing
covers to look at and has slow life living skills. I have been very obsessed with baskets lately.
I love a good sturdy basket to actually be able to carry things in. My mom has promised me an old
picnic basket and I am going to take her up on it. Baskets are so very easy to thrift. You can buy
a good basket for a dollar or a couple of cents at the Salvation Army or different thrift stores.
I have been collecting different colors and sizes of baskets to fit into my old farm cottage design.
Dresses are a big part of my design. I love the floral print dresses that flow and have movement
to them. When you twirl around they fluff out. I just love the whimsical romantic dresses that
have floral prints on them. I do buy these beautiful dresses. I always go to the clearance
section and I found this beautiful black dress in the clearance section at Belk for five or six
dollars. It really wasn't that much but it just gives me farm cottage vibes. This pink one I found
at TJ Maxx's and this one I found at Old Navy and it has a hint of embroidered flowers on it. I love
it. These dresses are very much in style now and you can find them just about anywhere. You can even
find them at the thrift store. Vintage dishes are my last item. There's just something very unique
about a vintage dish. They're always so different. Each piece is never the same and each one has so
much character. This little saucer was given to me by my babysitter growing up for my future house
and it's just so pretty. I just love the delicate edges and just the hint of green on the edges. It
is just so unique and beautiful. If you have enjoyed this cottagecore content today, please
