Right, we've padded up, got the bikes out, and that only means one thing, it's test time.
Where are we going first? I guess the top of the slopestyle line.
Yeah, we'll warm up with the slopestyle line. It's the most chill thing here,
even though it's quite gnarly, but let's see. Three weeks of building, straight on the bike,
let's go. And this looks long. It's very good. Quick test run to check the speed and roll from
there. I felt like it could have been good. I can watch you from here. He's probably just
going to go for it. Oh, yeah. Oh, to the bottom. There's a guy cleaning the last takeoff. We
straight in from top to bottom. I thought I'd hit the dish as the takeoff is still being clean.
Ramp is clear, top to bottom. We'll do a train as well, shall we? I'll follow you as you open the
line. All right, see, ready when you are. For sure, let's do it. See you at the bottom.
Yeah. That is rad. Perfect, man. Yeah, I came a little short on both. I was scared following you.
Let's go again. All right then, full lap, including space station.
That actually looks well good.
Bit slow on a big bike. Yes. How rad is that? Good job. That was sick.
Right. What next? Big hip at the top or big hip at the bottom?
The new one. Let's hit the big one, yeah.
I want to try one from the mid station, get a feel for it, and then we'll go and have a
laugh from the top. See what kind of speed to expect. All right. Are you going left as well?
Yes. There it is.
Okay. I've been waiting to hit this for a week. Ready? I'm going to try no brakes,
and then if I get scared, I'm going to brake too. Yeah, boy. Dropping. Oh my God. Oh, **** me.
Whoa. Well, that's pretty massive, and that was from halfway and being scared.
Go on, see. Oh, yeah. Wow. How good is that? Yes. That is amazing. You went like a third along
already, and you were as high as the quarry level, where the container is. It's pretty *******
high. Let's go again. Time for a hug already. That's pretty cool. That's amazing. It's the
perfect size of everything, the length of the landing. I'm going to watch from down.
I'll film, right? Please. Yeah. Why not? The landing is so soft. It's so smooth.
As long as you land in the right spots, you can go as high as you want. Hey.
Okay. We changed our mind. It was too crazy. We're going from the midsection again,
but maybe with a crank this time and a little pop. We'll have to save that for
when everyone arrives, I think. I think so too. Otherwise-
Then you're going to go higher than the needle itself. Okay. Take two.
Damn it.
Oh, I just want to go faster. Oh, yeah. Oh, my God. That was deep.
You got to practice the line. Yeah. We need to-
Yes. That was sick. Yes.
That was perfect. That was windy too. Yes. What a hit. That is the perfect hit,
because I'm too scared to go any higher. No, but you need to know your line first,
and it's so tall. I did that speed jump. I was like, oh, no. I think I was like, oh,
no. What are you doing? Then you can't see the landing at all from when you land there. You
just have to hope you're in there. Yeah, totally. Yeah, it was.
What's next? Big air. Big air.
Let's go. Let's go. Next up, what do we got, Si? Tell us a bit about the big air.
Well, 4.5 meter tall take-off ramp. Yeah. Very steep. Yeah. Take-off angle. Yeah.
Decent amount of step up. Yeah. Well, sounds like the ultimate fun to me.
Does just what it says on the tin. Big air. Remember how good the sessions were last year
here? I wish people would have just seen the way you walked. But you can't. I've got the camera.
I choose what's in the video. So much power being the man with the camera. He's a gimbal,
human gimbal. Are you going straight in again, Si? Guess I'll watch from down here then.
Yeah, it's best to go faster than slow, I reckon. Yeah, Si. Oh, my God. Oh, yeah.
Right here. For now, yeah. Look how soft it is. So hard, like you crank, but you don't really
gain speed. It'll speed up. A bit of rain, a bit of packing right now.
That's really slow. Too soft, eh? There's a lot of stuff. I'd call it space garbage.
Oh, you mean just stuff? Yeah. What's it called when it's just floating in the atmosphere?
Yeah. Like, yeah, yeah. Exactly. Not here. There's no garbage here. I think it's trash.
It's just gold. Trash. Oh, it looks so good. Let's go jump in. This is the scary one. Yeah.
I think we can, like, cut the corner a little bit. Let's just do a run in again, Si.
Quick nervous pee. Yeah, boy. Oh, my God. That looks a bit too fast, eh? Uh-oh.
Oh, hard one to tell that. I just don't want to hit the lip too fast.
I don't want to case either. Yeah.
Oh, me too. Yes. Yes. Perfect. There it is. Oh, look at that. In the berm.
Is he going to top to bottom? Oh, yeah, dog.
Perfect, man. That's massive, eh? What do you think about this bit? It felt slow. Yeah.
Let's try again. I'm released now, man. Yeah. Me too. Me too. So giant. And the rest is going to
berms. Really big. Yeah. Yeah, boy. Yeah. Yes. Yeah. Yeah. Oh, yeah.
Yes. Oh, that was good. Everything works.
Oh, little shot. It's a little slower. You were going too fast. Yeah. I pedaled around the whole
berm, then even put a crank in there. Yeah, I saw you. And then I jumped, like, knew I was way too
fast straight away, so I just squashed over it. Yeah. And landed it okay. Then went a bit soft
there, pedaled for this, popped that, and it's perfect. And then... Oh, I saw you. No pedals,
no brakes. Last one's perfect too. Yeah? Yeah. And big too. Big. Yeah. Sick. What a line. Sick.
Time for a beer or are you going to have another lap? It is soft there. There are a few things we
need to do to make it spot on, but it's pretty damn close. Everybody's healthy and alive.
Crack a beer. Yes. And stop for now. I know one guy who likes to crack beers.
Well, testing's done. Everything works. It's not perfect. We've got a little bit of work to do.
Mainly, it's just not hard, but when it is, it's going to be amazing. Can't wait for everyone to
get here and have a proper sesh. Do you like your course, Nico? What's your favorite part?
You guys doing all the testing freaks me out. It's scary. I don't like it either,
but you have to do it. You can't build a course, invite people to it,
and then make them test it. You have to show them that it's ready. I've been doing that in
the snow event for years now. I wonder how many more years till I'm going to do that too.
Hello Swiss skiers. Would you like to try this? Yeah, I promise. It's really good.
