A Post-Pandemic Project: Working, Socializing and Feeling the Comfort of Being Home.

This office of Agency 35 was a metal structure that was already built here
They rented this space to be the agency
It had only a metal shell made and the upper closures of glass
Agency 35 is a relatively new agency
They called me when they still had little time left at the agency
They called me to do a project within that space they found
It had the great advantage of being close to the square
What they asked me back then was to think of a space that at first would accommodate few people
At that time only eight people were working with them but it could grow and expand
One of the proposals we found interesting was to create an internal metal structure
here at the agency that can eventually accommodate a second phase of the project
The idea is to create a cross-sectional volume of this structure we made and lift it up
A meeting room and also create a few more work areas up there
At first since they hadn't grown that much yet
They built this which we called phase A of the project which
on its own already includes especially nowadays post-pandemic
With people working in a hybrid model between home office and in-person
Perhaps they won't necessarily carry out the second phase
But everything is ready for this second phase to eventually be built
The process of adapting the property was very
interesting because precisely of that geometry we had
It was completely irregular with uneven walls
there was a need to create a more rigid and more orthogonal structure inside
Bring a certain clarity to circulation and distribution of space
bring this green and create even more nature-related environments
Create meeting spaces
What we did as a project premise was to concentrate the enclosed areas
Next to the back wall of the property which is a solid
wall and leave both side walls which are made of glass
Open and integrated into the work environment
A advertising agency needs meeting spaces
So that people can talk and have briefings and discuss projects
these spaces don't need to be seated around a traditional table
Then the idea is to also build the entire side balcony
this grandstand the spaces the lounges that we have
The café itself a space that people use a lot here inside the agency
All these spaces are very commonly used and
are often used more than the main counter
itself So it's possible to create all these usage possibilities within the space
I think it was one of the main premises of the project
I think that architecture in people's lives is fundamental
Often a person feels a sense of well-being
She doesn't even realize it but it comes from the architecture
And architecture is in the small things the small spaces
Not necessarily in big things
Anything that has a well-designed architecture
It can bring an incredible sense of well-being to every user
