The physical connection of human nature and shelter with the surrounding nature

He is a great architect from São Paulo that we admire Pedro Paulo
de Melo Saraiva And he would always
say whenever he had the chance
That the structure is an expression of architecture
And in some way we try to incorporate this principle into our work
To make these spaces truly generous
and for the architecture to be relevant
Every new moment when we have a new demand we
try in some way to understand and intervene responsibly
I think that's the big issue
The landscape is a very strong element in the work we do
And if it doesn't exist we try to create a landscape
which in fact is relevant to the people who will live in these spaces
So we are always putting it in context
Checking the topography the context the information we
have which in some way can
help us take the initial step
In our profession it's called the Architectural Party
So wherever we go we try to take photos
Try to fly a drone look around take a walk
see what we can extract and start investigating from there
How people interact with the landscape each landscape has a context
the projects are unique to that place
It's as if they were doing and belonging to that territory
And from there truly having that diversity in the proposal
Always striving to make the space the protagonist
and the landscape also be grand so to speak
The land has a configuration a land that has a significant
slope I think it's almost seven
meters from one end to the other
And the people in a certain mood wanted to appropriate
it and make the house inserted in this context
If it could be integrated into this topography and this terrain
So it is a project from a conceptual point of view
relatively simple
because the people worked with a semi-buried structure
where they basically combine the service functions
The subsequent structures that
we have the social part and on
the upper floor the private part So from a conceptual point of view
People basically have two large concrete bases and a
metal piece supported on these two large concrete bases
They are almost 15 meters apart
So there is a lot of simplicity
We seek in our work
Achieving this simplicity from the perspective of architecture configuration
but it has a certain complexity from the structural perspective
There is no lack of connection between architecture
and structure We design structure in our work
E for this space to truly be a free space that there be visual
permeability that we can truly
achieve a great spatial integration
We try therefore to explore some structural aspects
that would actually enable us to create such spaces
Then we have a span of practically 11 meters here
without any kind of interruption
The very metal structure that spans a 15-meter gap
It's a metal truss that we thought of initially
E of course also has a balance on the other hand of about 7.5 meters
Then it's a bold but measured move because it
is within the guidelines of a good structure
Then we have a balance Yes
But in the balance of the structure which he protects on the other side
That he is stuck on the other side
is not such an intense stress on the structure
Then we can achieve this balance without demanding much from the structure and
the architecture remains harmonious What
we considered right from the beginning
And that the entrance to the house the ideal
spot for us really would be in the middle
A median budget to achieve an interesting result
The very configuration of the terrain made us coordinate
One of the structures namely social leisure
in the area where the land expands
Then we have practically a large
prism where the social living
areas that is where people gather face a preserved forest
Then it's a very generous area and by opening all
the windows we have a lot of visual permeability
Then this first block in
concrete terms houses these social
functions of reception integration and family social life
The previous block houses service activities
both connected by stairs leading to the private area
One interesting thing is that the client never comes up with another idea
So if the client gives us the freedom to propose
This is the case here I think it's very nice
we can go further and achieve interesting results
They had another completely different idea for the house
they hadn't even realized they could have that idea
It is great to see people using the land as a primary source
And the final result was very interesting
