Respect for Confucius

After watching the film 'In the Name of Confucius', and being reasonably well-read when it comes to Chinese history and culture, I was deeply disturbed that the Chinese Communist Party would choose the name of Confucius for their 'trojan horse' soft-power campaign.

I am a great supporter of Chinese culture, language, music and thought, this is in no way aimed at the Chinese people, instead at the cynical and calculated use of a historical icon that the party did their best to eradicate 60 years ago.
