Today we begin our three-round 2027 NFL Mock Draft with Trades.
If you guys are new, feel free to like, comment, and subscribe.
Just like the real NFL Draft, this is split up into two days.
Just like the NFL Draft, day one, round one, day two.
Tomorrow is rounds two and three.
Hopefully you guys do enjoy this series.
We've had a 2028 Mock Draft this week,
as well as a two-rounder with no trades.
Let's get into this.
Below my face is my board.
It is based on all 22.
If you want to see the full board and every single eval that I do,
go check out the Patreon.
It's five bucks a month.
And there are certain things like early releases
that I do over there and extended videos when
I'm going to be doing the midseason positional rankings.
So I'm excited for that.
And I hope you guys are, too.
Number one, overall,
we are using the current standings because it's a little bit fun.
I think that maybe next week,
if we still see like the Texans sitting here at the top,
we end up doing Super Bowl odds.
But I can't lie.
it's I've been doing Super Bowl odds this whole time it keeps it fresh
and honestly it's enjoyable
if the Texans sitting here at one you could try to take a trade out
and try to get a little bit
sexy with it the problem is there is a true number one this class
and the wide receiver
core for the Texans has been like physically unreliable
in terms of health so I don't really
want to play that game anymore we're going to go Jeremiah Smith
a wide receiver out of Ohio State
there is a chance that the Houston Texans if they continue
to have struggles do end up in this range
however I don't think they're going to end up
at the end of the day being at that spot it's just
still where they're at and I think after
this week we're going to see a little bit of a shift
maybe that means we keep the draft order
but still enjoyable for one more week having a fun
experience given my stellar track record
with upsets I'm still looking for my marquee upset
victory. And this week I'm calling the New York Giants
to beat the Washington Commanders. Given
all of Washington's quarterback injuries,
I do think this is a prime opportunity for a team that
has scrapped out quite a few close
but quality wins to end up doing so again. If we check it
out over on CallSheet, the New York Giants only have
a 38% chance to win. If you were to choose
for them to win, which is nice on CallSheet
because you just click yes on the New York
Giants winning and you put $25 down,
when you use the code HMS, or you click that link in the
description to make it easy,
you will get $55 added to your account instantly. So worst case
scenario, the Washington Commanders end up beating the Giants.
You still net 30 positive, but if the
Giants pull off the upset, which I'm praying they do,
you end up getting almost $110 just for putting
25 down. So make sure to go and use that code
when you do sign up when you trade 25. I do really
like CallSheet because this is peer-to-peer trading.
So these numbers are not designed and set by a
sports book. This is peer-to-peer
because it's based on what people's opinions are. And I think
people's opinions are going to change as there
are certain things like Stephon Diggs not showing up to
practice that can end up shifting what their opinion is.
So take advantage of the odds while
they are good like this go use that code HMS
when signing up and using that $25 to get $55
added to your account instantly number two
the Tennessee Titans it's an easy one for me to look
at Leonard Moore and then to look at the tackle spot
at Jordan Seaton those are my top two guys
available I don't think there's really much debate
as to whether you should go like like anybody else
at the spot people want to talk about quarterback
and i ended up seeing at number one like i love
Steve Mencz i love Todd McShane what they
do they have an absurd love for QB that i cannot
replicate because they had QB go at one i believe
and then jeremiah smith or they had jeremiah smith
maybe go at one and then Arch Manning go at two one
of the way one of the ways around but they end up
having CJ Carr go at like three
or something I'm like I just I can't get sold on a QB being a net
positive move for any of these teams
at the top right now like it just it doesn't make sense
compared to fixing something like
the left tackle spot like Jordan Seaton like fixing the cornerback
spot with Leonard Moore like it's so difficult
but I'm gonna go after the most unique players
here this is a defensive head coach team
and I'm gonna screw over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers I want
to make this easy on myself we're gonna go Leonard Moore corner out
of Notre Dame to the Tennessee
Titans the thing is with this tackle class it's kind of good
and my goal is to trade up late one
for Caden Green or Samson Okunlola
and like worst case scenario you trade back and get Elijah Paige
like it's a really solid tackle group until guys start to return
because we all know it's going to
happen but for the time being it's
a really good tackle room all right number three Tampa Bay with
the edge class getting seemingly lighter
because of Dylan Stewart having some outside of football
concerns you do see a little bit of an uptick
in terms of the focus on Colin Simmons and what he
is going to bring to the table compared
to the other talents in the class like for me I do love
Dylan Stewart talent wise more than Colin Simmons i think he's
a better player there is a factor
that's why James Pierce Jr was my number two player ended up putting
my belief in the mid first because
of the personality concerns very similar
to Dylan Stewart like a top five player for me i have him
now in the teens because the dude just does
not look like he has all the screws fully put in place
and as much as we want to have a guy who can you know see red
and go bat ---- it is still something
where you have to think about is this going
to bleed into something more than just going
an absolute crazy on the field and being a really good player
and i don't like the control Dylan
Stewart i don't think it's i'm not at the James Pierce Jr level
because y'all remember that
whole series if you've been around
for a while like you remember how i ended up handling that
got a lot of flack for it
but sadly i hate being right about things like that i'd rather get ----
for being like oh you overthought it bro like I'd rather have
a thousand Braden Swinson's than one
of the James Pierce's that's
that to me being wrong about players being worse than they are
is so much better than being right
and I don't think we're at that point with Dylan Stewart
and I didn't say I said the same thing about David Bailey last year
the Arizona State incident where
he's grabbing and assaulting
and battering a camera man like in my opinion that scared me
not scared it's kind of like a pussy way to put it
but it ended up raising a red flag and i was
like not a fan of that ended up like kicking
a dude in the head uh the year before versus
stanford i think it was versus nc state
but regardless i still said it's not on james
pierce level same thing with dylan stewart
so regardless i think if the buccaneers are sitting
here at number three you continue to weaponize
the edge core i don't think that there's a player
outside of Colin Simmons right now that's going
to garner that type of movement because the
Chargers aren't going to be threatening to take
an offensive tackle. The Dolphins are going to
be looking at a QB. The Jets are going to be looking at a QB,
but I don't think the Dolphins
need a QB as much. So we're just
not in a position where there's enough demand for the price you're
paying to move up. And if you have to stick and pick,
you go after Colin Simmons, edge rusher
out of Texas number four the Los Angeles Chargers
this is the most difficult pick they could be in
fire sale mode there is a chance that we do see a lot of movement
and it's a lot easier for me to
have selected I mean I could even end up going
Jordan Seaton here Leonard Moore and then Colin
Simmons it's a bang bang bang bang bang make it
easy it's semi-masochistic for me to have done
this so it is what it is but I put myself
in a very uncomfortable situation I don't think
Arch Manning, this board is based off of a consensus
a group of 396 boards I believe is what NFL mock
draft database says it is, um, so there there's
a big group of boards that still have Arch Manning
here at the top, I'm not gonna say the Chargers
are going in that direction but there is a chance
where they could end up getting rid
of Justin Herbert, I'm not ready to pull that trigger yet
they need one more week of being absolute crap to be in that situation
so where we need to look
is the fact that the issue that I see
is their biggest need that has value here is defensive
interior because like if we're looking
at wide receiver Charlie Becker Cam Coleman it's a close
race people want to say it's not, it is Charlie Beckers
not good after the catch in my opinion
I love his work ethic as a blocker I don't think
the execution's on par with you know what people
try to say it is, but there is a top two Cam Coleman
if coaches lose their egos about wide
receivers having to gain weight, I seriously don't
understand, I think Marvin Harrison Jr should be
moved and he should drop some weight as well
and this issue like why do we need big receivers to
weigh a lot if they don't play well
at a higher weight, I don't get it, it's pretty simple logic but
the average IQ of football coaches apparently
is not as high as what we expected, but it's just like
Cam Coleman, I think would be an amazing addition
if he dropped weight mid-season we'd have to see
that during the college year for us to see
the old Cam Coleman I just don't Charlie Becker would
make sense for the Chargers because you can stretch
the field and he has the contested catch
capability I would want to move out
of this spot personally there's just nobody who's going to be
moving up and I hate to do it
but Charlie Becker is going to be the pick there at four I really
don't like that selection personally I think
this is hell, this is purgatory if you're sitting there
at number four because there's nobody like Beckers
the one that fits you the best you're
not going to be taking a person that you have
a legit concern bringing into your locker room and
Dylan Stewart and when you're sitting there
at number four you have to take a player who's going
to make a noticeable difference i think Becker would
but that doesn't mean he's worth the number
four pick it is just a very uncomfortable spot where
no team is going to feasibly want to make
that move all right dolphins sitting here
at number five it's a very similar purgatory level
move for them as well because i don't personally
think Arch Manning provides significantly more
for this team early on than what Malik Willis has to offer right now
so you could just go BPA
and with the jets coming up there is you know
that quarterback focus where if you are the cardinals
you might want to jump the jets that's just such
an expensive move it's a really expensive move
that's going to require your second round pick
to move up from nine to five god where i just
triggered PTSD with everybody
who has a corporate job no one ever wants to hear those two numbers
together but that means i'm not going to do it it's
a horrible combination in the first place
we can't do it and that is the weird thing about
the way that this is set up is the fact that when
you end up analyzing like the where the teams
are right now it's not reflective of the teams that
genuinely cheeks at QB
because over the year you're going to see it sift and the the teams
that don't have very good QBs are going
to go like the good QBs are going to sift through
and you're going to be left at the bottom at the top
of the draft with teams that genuinely cannot
play QB so we're in just
a very awkward situation here where I don't think the teams that are
looking for a QB are in striking range
so if the Dolphins are here do they just pull the trigger
on a QB. And if you are going to do that,
Arch Manning's not providing that return on investment.
You have to go after a QB who could.
I think Drew Mustaine returns, but if he is getting QB one
hype and he's going to be able to sit for minimum a year,
which the Dolphins allow that opportunity,
I think that's the move you have to make.
If you need to make lemonade out of the damn lemons,
which is crazy to say about number five overall pick,
you make that goddamn lemonade. Drew
Mustaine goes at number five.
Again, think about the cost of moving up. Think about the
reasons for moving up.
And you have to justify both the cost of moving up and the reason for
the cost. You just you can't like you really can't.
But Drew Mustaine provides the highest
ceiling. Do I think if he drops in the NFL right now, he's QB one?
No, I don't think he is in this
class. I still think Arch Manning is.
He has those Mendoza moments where he ends up winning some
pretty big games, even when he's inconsistent in the start of them.
Like he ends up performing
well when he needs to perform well.
But Drew was my QB one coming to the year. And I still believe
a long range. He's going to end up being my QB one.
And that's what you're going to have to bet
on to make that number five pick worth it.
Biggest return on investment. And that would be Drew
Mustaine to the Dolphins. Number six, the New York Jets.
This is quick and easy. It's Arch
Manning quarterback out of Texas it's the Manning name
in New York slash New Jersey that has a lot
of weight this team is looking for a long-term answer
at QB it's going to happen so we're going
to end up pulling the trigger there number seven
for the New Orleans Saints again a weird team
where in my opinion like if you wanted to just pull
the trigger on another Texas tackle you can
have Banks and Goosby be like your long-term offensive tackles
and you know fog a guard and
stuff like that i don't hate it i'm not going
to do it i don't think that's something that you
necessarily need to do this is a team that cares about personality
though it does care about some
character so i'm like i i've tried to finesse
and reason my way into Dylan Stewart and i can't
but you do see the Commanders here
and at number eight they could be very much looking into Dylan
Stewart and just licking their chops they're like
that's a guy where we have Caleb Von Chase on we
can end up either extending him and letting Dylan Stewart sit
and grow or we can end up having him
just start right away I think that that's
a very intriguing option I think for the Jets if you want
to add him to Will McDonald
and David Bailey you have three hyper young edges that are extremely
talented like you kind of solve your need for the long haul there
but I do kind of like the Arizona
Cardinals because I always go QB
and tackle them with their first picks I like the idea of trying
to solve their edge position
and then their QB position like i think that that would be a really
intriguing way to go about it the problem
is the Saints don't freaking trade back in the first
like y'all are aggressive as hell
so it puts me in a very weird spot because i want to trade back
but again they just don't trade back
and if i do have to stick and pick you have to have a lot of
interviews with Dylan Stewart there's not a better option
by a country mile we're gonna go Dylan
Stewart edge out of South Carolina it doesn't fit the mo
but maybe you can have him sit for a year
and like develop and ease his way
in as he matures uh number eight for the Commanders
it's a very uncomfortable spot to be in when you have
when i have my number three players sitting
here still on my board um but the Commander sitting there
at eight i'd be open to making
some moves here because i personally want
to target Cam Coleman for this team or one of the
corners which Ellis Robinson I think is a stud granted I
do see three teams that could easily
look at corner at this point that does make it a little bit difficult
and given the fact that
three teams could be looking at corner we're going
to pull the corner trigger here Ellis Robinson's
been doing a fantastic job this year he's looked phenomenal
and we're going to select him there
he's 180 pounds but he plays like he's 190
to 195 he's fluid he's been he's been this good this
whole time people were just sleeping
on him they say oh he's gotten better no no he's always been
this good some people just were really behind
and that happens all right do I want to screw
myself over the answer the answer is maybe
because if I'm the Arizona Cardinals what I want is an
offensive tackle and I do well it makes no sense
for the Arizona Cardinals the amount of draft
capital you get is so minimal compared to the value
of selecting the offensive tackle you want
and for me if I'm Arizona I'm gonna go
for Trevor Guseby 10 out of 10 times because a I know the QB
class there's gonna be QBs lurking in the back
but secondly you don't play games with offensive
tackle when I look at this class right here my my idea
was let's talk try to move up with the Jets
right let's try to move up let's get Ashton Hampton above
the Cincinnati Bengals but
the Arizona Cardinals do that there's not another corner
in my opinion the Cincinnati Bengals should
take if there's not another corner
that the Cincinnati Bengals should take then they're
going to take an offensive tackle
and that takes one of the two offensive tackles the Cardinals
could take and the value of choosing the tackle you want
is better than a third round pick in my
opinion might even be less than a third round pick might
be a fourth round pick because it's so close
but maybe it's like a like a third round pick
and then you have to give up like a fifth
regardless um i'm gonna choose a player
who i think fits best and my goal is solve that right
tackle spot for the long haul we're going Trevor
Guseby right tackle out of Texas he plays left
currently but he is somebody
who started his career filling in for Cam Williams at the right
side i know my Cardinals fans
are not huge fans of me targeting tackle early tell me how many teams
do a very good job of filling tackle late i mean you talk about
the Chiefs oh you know they got
you know Simmons at pick 32 you're seeing
the reason why right now just going to throw that
out there the dude's a little a little out there
so he didn't fall because of the talent he fell
because of tearing his ACL he was my number four player
in the class when healthy at that time
and then some screws loose
but for the Bengals if you're sitting here and there's tackle and
there's corner here when you have two corners up
for a contract both of these are going to be very
valuable positions granted the Bengals have
not valued offensive line as much as they should have
but they have valued defensive back a lot
to me Ashton Hampton's the selection here he's a big
heavy corner which is great for the AFC North
but he's also shown to be able to handle some really
nifty slot receivers as well like Malachi Tony he's
a top 10 pick he's going to be the one who
I end up selecting here for Cinc yes especially
because at that point then I can end up looking
at the offensive tackle realm if I had
the option between Goosby like if I didn't have the Hampton
spot there it's a tackle all the way
and then Arizona is kind of stuck in a situation where
maybe they didn't value Jordan Seaton
and they didn't want to roll the dice because Goosby has
experience on the right side it is a reason
to be at least having some sort of red flag in there
all right number 11 for the New York Jets there's
a team that's calling I really like Markel Bell
but Jordan Seaton's available
and the Jets have no reason for a tackle the Steelers have no reason
for a tackle if I'm the Jets I mean honestly I need
to pull the well to be fair one of my picks
is going to be Chris Cole for the Jets if I'm going
to play the smart move because I have back
to back picks pretty sure each pick goes down
in terms of the amount of money you owe I'd rather
trade my number 11 pick and then just take Chris Cole with my 12th pick
because for me Chris Cole
locked into the Steelers at 13 if he gets there like he
is such a good player but with a high
value offensive tackle available I can see a team like
the Falcons getting aggressive and I can also
see a team like the Eagles getting aggressive
and the Eagles have historically been very aggressive
in terms of trade-ups in short range
so we're going to go after the best offensive player
available in in my opinion the best player
by a noticeable margin available you need to fix your
entire offensive line so it is like the question
is it going to be worth it but for the value of
250 points which again you're getting
a 50 point boost there um it's going to cost a third round
pick and i think that you guys
because you have where where's the extra second round pick over
here where's the extra first round pick you have two ones
and two twos over here um i think going
after that second third round pick is not going
to make a big impact on you and maybe you end up
finessing another pick later on but I'm gonna have
that move up there the Philadelphia Eagles
move up and select a Jordan Seton tackle out
of LSU the Cardinals didn't want to roll the dice
on Seton moving to the right side well the Eagles
are willing to because they literally just did
with Marquel Bell but at the same time my a lot
of not necessarily like there's oh he's only guy
left from the Super Bowl squad we'll see how long
that ends up being the case if there's a lot of
internal turmoil do we see some friction there
but Marquel Bell the poor guy is being picked on
because everybody knows they can pick on him maybe he's
a long-term answer but at the same time I
can't bet on that and when I have my number three player
who in my opinion is a blue chip offensive
tackle available I would take him in a heartbeat over someone
who I'm still trying to develop
and has a good amount of value that maybe you could trade
for a third round pick maybe you
could trade it for a second round pick
if a team ends up losing out on one of these tackles
so Jordan Seaton goes to the Eagles there
the Jets sitting at number 12 i telegraphed this move
already we're going chris cole defense
or defensive linebacker slash edge rusher out of Georgia i
think he's the best linebacker i have ever studied pound
for pound um i will see how his like frame
ends up being in terms of testing
and looking at all that because i think that's maybe one area
where i'm not fully ready to commit to him
but his play this year has been phenomenal even better
than last year but coming into the year i've said several times he's
the best linebacker i've ever
graded coming in from summer scouting
and he's the fastest linebacker i've ever seen i think he's
four three he might be faster than that he could
be like one of those guys with four three three
speed in you know on a good day where you know
his toes randomly point a different direction
he can get into the four twos like generational level speed
the jets could use that number 13
for the Pittsburgh Steelers.
There's a lot of QBs here.
Could talk about him
However, Allard's already shown promise
and he was handpicked by McCarthy.
Question, is McCarthy going to be there?
Probably not.
I think Aaron's gone.
McCarthy's gone.
There is a strong chance that we end up saying,
see ya to the QB position.
I'm not ready to pull that trigger.
There's a lot of QBs and personally,
I'd be willing to take more pot shots
as we actually fill the positions
we actually need to fill.
so where are we going to go with this selection I think there
are two primary options I want to
look at and that is Cam Coleman
because I think he is an absolute stud but we are notorious for
doing great on day two with wide receivers
so maybe stick to our guns or we can end up looking
at the corner position at Kelly Jones I don't think Kelly Jones
is worth the number 13 pick
so it really is Cam Coleman or trade out
and if we're looking at the players available who's worth
moving up for Will Echols is Will Echols is a great player
and honestly you could see some
teams in this range being a little bit hungry
for a defensive interior granted you end up looking
at the teams in this range the first one i really think
is a huge threat is Cleveland so i'm not
i'm not tripping like i'm thinking
the Vegas Raiders would be a team that needs to move up
to secure Will Echols and he's a good player he deserves
to be in this range he's a top 10 player
on my board for a reason but it's just
the Steelers could be one of those teams that looks
at him as well if we can't find a deal
then that's probably the way I will go so maybe there
is a fourth option there it's Cam Coleman
or Will Echols if we're going to stick and pick but we
could also look at Cam Coleman the Dallas Cowboys
are sitting here at 14 we don't know the future
of George Pickens is there a team that could
be looking for a wide receiver like that I think the
Falcons underratedly could be a hundred percent looking
for that you could end up looking at the
Patriots they could be getting aggressive
because they just want to secure high-end talent I don't
think they do so I personally don't really see
a ton of demand to move up to the spot that costs
that that justifies the cost of moving up
and without the Eagles being available I don't really
think the tight end position is going
to be overwhelmingly attractive for a team to make a
strong move so I'm actually going to go
and continue what the Steelers do the most draft
trenches in round one we're gonna go BPA
with Will Echols defensive interior out of Ole Miss
as Cam Hayward ends up being on the way out we have Benton we have
um Harmon and then he's going
to be Echols is going to be another addition
into that room i'm hoping that we can stay healthy
and that you can have Harmon be more of a true nose
but we'll see we're going BPA fixing up the
trenches getting younger is the most important thing number 15
for the Dallas Cowboys I telegraph
this move I do think that there is an underrated need
at the right tackle spot Melvin Sianni would
be a phenomenal addition there the question
is can you wait on that personally I do think yes
this team is historic very similar
to the Steelers drafting offensive linemen round one granted
they've also drafted some really good receivers
round one Cam Coleman could be an amazing asset
for this team we are in a near generational wide
receiver class like I'm talking about third and
fourth round receivers like Devin McCouryan's looked
as a day three player I have a first round grade
on I know people who look at Trey Richardson
as a potential top 32 player and from what I've seen
I don't blame him I really don't he is a stud
his number at 175 on the weight is the only thing that
truly makes people wonder whether he can
be as effective as he is in the NFL as he is in college
and I think he's a true day two player he will
be drafted in this I will force it if I have to
that is all to say what's the drop-off from Cam Coleman
to Amarion Miller or Deuce Alexander what
is the drop-off from Melvin Sianni to PJ Williams
who's played right tackle I think it's a bigger
drop-off for the latter we're gonna go Melvin Sianni
to play right tackle there from Texas
again if you do end up seeing it's been good to see
the progression of Tyler Guyton but if you do
end up seeing him kind of revert back to being
a little bit more uncomfortable at left melvin has
comfortability at left tyler is comfortable
at right you have a lot more flexibility and i think
that's an extremely important
the cowboys have thrived based on having solid high quality
offensive line play let's continue
that with melvin sianni 15 for the detroit lions this is
the earliest spot where i'd be open to kelly jones it's
because of how bad this cornerback class is
i'm pulling the trigger on kelly jones cornerback out
of mississippi state 6 4 195 more of a
desperation pick but it is one where he will end up probably being
a top 20 to 25 player this is
just the top end of that range number 16
for the New York Jets their first two selections are Chris
Cole and Arch Manning i don't think cornerbacks
as big of a need is what they're what they suggest
And I didn't think the value without having Ashton Hampton
or Ellis Robinson there matched
up at all.
I would never have taken Kelly Jones, even at 16.
I don't think the Jets are desperate enough for Kelly Jones.
So sitting here, maybe I do have a little bit of buyer's remorse
when it comes to trading
with the Eagles, because I could have ended
up having Will Echols and Chris Cole and had
a really solid draft in that regard.
but I do sit here and I mean there's still really good talent
if you want to address the interior
offensive line Greg Johnson can play center he
can play guard he even has some ability to play
tackle I think that's a valuable asset to have
if I'm sitting here at 16 though I probably want to
trade back again before I end up pulling
the trigger on that and the question is who would
be worth moving up for and the answer is Cam Coleman
is there a team that would be looking
at Cam Coleman aggressively Las Vegas Raiders would
be I think that there's a strong possibility
the Raiders get aggressive here
because in my opinion the true areas of improvement for the
Raiders can be that wide receiver one position
which they've done a great job with limited
weapons maybe it's not the biggest return on investment
but defensive interior I think
veteranship is going to help them out a lot more than rookies would
so that might be something
where you address it with a more high upside defensive interior later
on and kind of address
that position here and now uh other teams buffalo looking
for a true wide receiver one why the hell
not and they're also a team that i think could
get ballsy they always trade back they love their
picks but lord have mercy it's time to get a little bit ballsy right
so i think there is some
demand for a wide receiver of the skill set
of Cam Coleman at this point let's not forget that
the Jets could also just say let's pair up Arch Manning
and Cam Coleman um I do think it's very
unrealistic based on the range to trade up with Vegas
so I will be pulling the trigger on Cam
Coleman here to the Jets um Adonai Mitchell coming up for contract next year
so we'll see you know what
his current situation is at that time
but you pair up Arch Manning with a wide receiver he already
has comfortability with drop the weight on Cam Coleman
for the love of God he'll fit well into
the Adonai Mitchell role and you're going to get a player
who's great for five years number 17 the
Atlanta Falcons uh you're putting belt
to ass I don't think QB is a position of need anymore
the left tackle spot I mean I love you guys
because there's a reason I respond to every
comment you guys are a fan of one team I'm
a fan of 32 it sometimes is difficult to truly
understand how consistent players are on a down by down basis
and Jawan Taylor apparently has
been looking really good at the right tackle spot
I hope he ends up maintaining that if you can end
up solving that right tackle spot for that position like
with that value you could be looking
at the left with Caden Green I don't think that's
a bad idea I do like the idea of wide receiver as
well uh you could even look potentially at that corner two spot
but we already kind of taken all
those corners off the board
so it does make me feel very very uncomfortable at this spot you do
have Jaden Baugh available
and I do think that teams should be valuing a running back of his
caliber of his skill set he's banged up right now
but when healthy lord have mercy and honestly
oh my god just Basil Toots been doing such
a good job i was debating jacksonville making that
aggressive move um but i don't i don't think
they would i think denver denver's in too close
of striking range granted if carolina wasn't
in atlanta's division i'd move up with them
select Jayden Baugh but i don't think the falcons
are gonna enable someone in their own division
to be able to pull that off
so falcons sitting here i don't really think you're going to get
too much traction granted is there a team that looks
for that's going to be looking for a tight
end because could end up looking that way answer
no because Jamari Johnson another piece that has
enough value for people to want to move up
so they're gonna have to stick and pick and if you're
gonna have to stick and pick again the qbs
are very intriguing you know we gotta see what michael
Penix has in terms of his health profile
because if he stays healthy he's been doing a really good
job otherwise you do look at a Trinidad Chambliss
to keep this team active and or a Dante Moore
it is what it is I hate this position
though I really do and honestly I do think that based on
what I'm going to be looking for I'm going to look at someone
who has the ability to play
multiple positions because I need a short-term
and long-term fill in my opinion Caden Green's
looked phenomenal he's looked great as a left tackle
but he also looked great as a left guard
in my opinion I'm going to go after a little bit more
of the floor play here and do some risk
mitigation Caden Green a tackle out of Missouri
is at number 17 number 18 for Denver we've been
wanting to go Jamari Johnson this whole time I
do think Jayden Baugh is a very underrated position
to target but it's just it's been a lock
this whole time they went Justin Jolie ended up not
working out it's pretty clear they look for a joker tight end
and that's what jamari johnson
who's a stud would end up bringing to the broncos 19
for the Carolina Panthers and the running back
room is just not healthy enough we're going Jayden Boh
of course funnily enough he's been
underperforming the past week
because he literally wasn't even doing warm-ups with this team he was
doing stretches very clear with the split that he
was doing he was not healthy but hopefully he is
and ends up bouncing back
because he is a true round one back i don't think Carolina needs a
running back on the level of maybe some
of the other positions where there's value but i do think
investing in the offense
and making it as quarterback friendly for Bryce keeping keeping
defenses honest and you know having a lot more emphasis
on having a balanced rushing attack is
important you see how much you guys want Jonathan Brooks
to succeed i do too but the track record
speaks for itself the guy cannot stay healthy
the best ability is availability Jayden Boh is
essentially an upgraded version of Jonathan Brooks
and so the vision is already there for that role
he's just a better version of it
and hopefully knock on wood a healthier version number 20 for
the New England Patriots good players all around i think safety
is on the board you look at KJ
Bolden swiss army knife piece i don't think
the linebacker value is good unless you have Chris
Cole available to draft one in the first i don't like
the idea of a tight end people want to say
Hunter Henry this Hunter Henry that Eli Raridan
is a much better option try to target some extra
depth later on wide receiver if you do see
a really good one available i'd pull the trigger
i think Reed Harris is an underrated receiver
to go after at this point he's 6'4 225 pounds
some sources list him 6'5 like has
that burner speed he'd work really well with AJ Brown and
you don't have a first next year
so you have to anticipate needs in the future as well so i'm a
little bit concerned about that um the question
is do you want to just go after BPA or do you want
to go after another position granted you've taken
a safety out of Cal before in Woodson and personally
i really like Woodson i'm going to go after
a ceiling pick here with Kingston Lopa we're going
to go back to the program six five two ten five interceptions
on the year ended up leaving the
most recent game with a chest injury i hope
that he's going to end up being good for the rest of
the year but still going to give him the benefit
of the doubt there one of the most freaky defensive
backs that you'll see comes in doesn't have any
starts under his belt from Oregon first off
it's a it's a green flag when you see Oregon
and Cal as the two schools that recruit him and
then try to get him to transfer
to so elite defensive back programs and then he produces as
soon as he gets on the field need i say more all
right number 21 Cleveland Browns one of these
picks is going to be a QB we know that so let's get
that one out of the way so Trinidad Chambliss
Darian Menza Dante Moore CJ Carr all really good selections
on top of that Austin Simmons
gotta give a shout out to Bill Sparks he ended up talking about
the background for Simmons and
how his head coach currently I believe
or maybe the offensive coordinator ended up working under
Todd Bunken before so it was 2014
so personally I think there's some development that's happened
there so I'm not going to pull the trigger
on Simmons I'd want someone who's a little bit more
athletically gifted with a higher ceiling that would
be what Trinidad Chambliss is granted you
also have to worry about that age 25 years old
as a rookie at the same time has age been an issue
recently the answer is no hey let's be honest
the longest tenured quarterback in the NFL with
his current team is Dak Prescott with 11 years I hate
to say it quarterbacks shift around quite a
it so worrying about the longevity
of your quarterback doesn't seem to always add up the
impact of your QB that does Trinidad looks even
more explosive like he's a weird mix of Kyler
Murray and Jalen Hurts with how he plays like genuinely I think
that like quarterback wise
he's early Eagles Jalen Hurts where you're seeing him have
this masterful big play ability that you
just don't see coming and he just makes it happen
and then he has the explosiveness of an athlete
that's not as good as Kyler
but reminiscent of and it has the big frame of Jalen Hurts I think
that works extremely well in a Munkin system
and if this team's really going to make a push they
need to make a push Trinidad Chambliss
is the selection there all right number 22 for the
Browns we will see some movement we need
to get some trades going on in here because we got some
good players like Tay Johnson we also have KJ Bolden here
and the Browns are not a team to
look at that they're they're just not a team
that you're really going to be focusing on that position
so what's interesting is the Giants are sitting over here
and they're a team that will definitely
not be making a strong playoff push it's just it's
not going to happen they just have some early
season success and played some cupcake teams
so or at least played in some games that were less
competitive I think the Browns defensive interior wise
this is a good opportunity to take a shot on
someone with really high ceiling you have good production
from guys like Mike Hall I think that
you could end up taking a player of a similar frame
and skill set and this is going to screw
me over at pick 28 but Devin Tompkins he's 6'5 300
pounds first off could be elite as a defensive
interior on top of that he plays a lot of edge
and this team loves their big edges so somebody
who could be depending on your vision defensive interior
or an edge a lot of times guys who are
like that aren't very good it's like oh you don't have
a native position this dude dominates from
both so we're gonna end up going
with Devin Tompkins defensive interior out of Alabama there
so Chambliss and Tompkins two SEC studs going
to help out the Cleveland Browns early 23 Las Vegas
Raiders wide receiver definitely would be a smart move
because you do have Reed Harris here who I
think would be a stud but again such
a good wide receiver class I don't see the need I don't see
the value there and I'm looking at these teams
do I see a defensive interior on the horizon I do
think Jacksonville's a target like they're a team
that I'd be very worried about and if that's a
idoh Manuel Otbiol what a monster
If I'm going to be looking at that, I would be worried
about the drop off from Maury Washington ceiling wise to a Justin Scott
or an Ahmad Moten. So I
think I have to stick and pick here.
Amari Washington has a crazy ceiling. He could be a
top 10 type of player in the class. Stick and pick.
Value wide receiver is great. We're going
to end up making it work. Seahawks.
Once we ended up seeing the corners come off the board, I didn't
see a player that i thought would be a good return
on investment you look at the edge position they
do like guys that have a little more meat on their bones
that's where you look at Cleavon Lubin who's
about 260 pounds uh you end up looking i mean
but Mateo Weigela as well you know can't throw
him out of the equation will help he doesn't have
the bend in my opinion the athleticism to be a
true seahawks edge i just don't really like
the value there i personally would want to just go
after bpa which is greg johnson
or Cade Peepers, Cade Peepers have a lighter frame i'd rather go
after someone who's kind of a quasi tackle frame similar
to the last time you ended up going after
an interior offensive lineman
and that's worked extreme dividends right it's paid off really
really well so i am going
to go greg johnson interior offensive lineman out of minnesota
there has experience at center has experience at guard
and has done a really good job at both
elite movement skills a little more show than tell
but still a very high tier player all right
jaguars i personally think you should be trying
to make a move out of the spot you could look at
Tavian Gadson here as like a pass rushing defensive interior
because it just hasn't worked
um you guys have done a really good job
and made me eat my words you guys perform so much better
than anything that you'd expect looking at this roster on paper
which means great coaching and
execution i will say is there a team is there
a player to move up for this is where quarterbacks
late one should start to try to come off the board um you
also have an elite defensive back
here in KJ Bolden the bills could be a target
for that the bears with the way that kj can slip into
the nickel they could be an option
for that the baltimore ravens always can just continue adding
best player available so you do always excuse me run
the risk of someone like um you won't go Kade
Peepers anymore because you trade a second round pick for him
but there are a lot of players here
that are perfect for moving up for and it's
a good class it's a very good sign of a very healthy
draft class for that reason if we were to make
a take a look i do think the titans at that point
could be looking in this range obviously you're
not trading in division but you end up looking
the Chargers could be making a big deal if they end up
not believing in Herbert the dolphins could
say well now we're in striking range it kind
of makes sense um the cardinals it's too far for them
But it is something where if we're getting over to pick number 31,
pick number 30, they're
in striking range for a QB as well,
because two third round picks essentially gets that
done.
Honestly, if I'm sitting here and I'm the Jaguars,
I'm rolling the dice on offense
blind.
I've done it before.
I'm continuing to do it.
Sampson Okunlola has experience at guard
and tackle and is a freak athlete.
This is an organization that loves to take the guys they want to take.
and I'm going to take somebody that might
be a little bit against some people's vision for what
they'd want with an offensive lineman
because a lot of people don't like the tweeners but this is
a tweener that's worked really well at both it's not really someone
who hasn't fit at one or the
other very similar to Caden Green
but Samson is a lot better of an athlete number 26 for the Buffalo
Bills honestly BPA needs to be the move it
is a team that's traded out of the first before but
you just got to pull the trigger
when you can you look at KJ Bolden you look at Tate Johnson like the
value is too good to pass on uh this is a top 10 player
on my board i'm going after KJ Bolden
defensive back out of Georgia this is on he's
on the tier very similar to downs for me i think
downs was better still more effective better frame
but bolden very similarly a swiss army knife can
play every single down at an elite A plus level.
He's a very good player. And if he's here at 26,
you lock that in and you forget.
Number 27, the New York Giants. I personally prefer to look at
wide receiver at this point because the value is too good.
The problem is someone like Reed Harris
would be very similar, in my opinion,
to what you'd get out of Malachi Fields. So you're not
getting the most out of Reed Harris.
You're not getting the most out of Malachi Fields at that
point. I prefer to trade back at this spot.
And with the quarterbacks available, I think that
Darian Mensah needs to be selected.
And same thing with CJ Carr. Both of those guys have been doing
a great job. Same thing with Dante Moore.
The question is who? Because the Dolphins already
took their QB. I think the Titans, they'll be in the range.
I think the Vikings, if they don't
want to pay an extreme sum, could be in that equation too.
But they'd be the type to stick
and pick like that that's not an organization
that would be making a move damn there ain't
there really ain't nobody because
the the cardinals need to make that move but it's just
they're they're too far away to make that move
um so honestly i think the giants are screwed
in this equation question is if there's a corner available
um now OJ Frederick pretty much out for
the year he'd be the one that i'd
be considering here defensive interior i still think they need
to go after it i'd want someone with a little bit
of a bigger frame i'd be looking at Bear
Alexander at this point or Xavier Gilliam to be the guy
who ends up manning the front for the
giants there uh might even just go safety at this point
though Tay Johnson BPA rarely ends up panning
out poorly or do we just reach on a player
that ends up balancing out really well like Nick Marsh
people love nick marsh i always disrespect him he'd
be a really good compliment to neighbors
and fields we're gonna go nick marsh wide receiver out
of indiana as nobody ends up offering a pick
to move up. The Bears sitting here at 28.
They like to go after the guys they want to go after.
Justin Scott's been underwhelming this year.
I think that you could look at Tavian Gadsden as
an option. You also could look at the edge position.
You see Mateo Ugalde. Cleve Lubin's
a little bit on the shorter side.
Doesn't really fit that archetype, but there's a lot of good
edges in this class. I don't think that's
the primary position. I don't like the idea of
targeting a corner here again
because I would have done it for the Giants. So if I am going
to look at best player available it probably
is going to be return on investment on the defensive
interior and I still I like Tavian Gadson
as the pass rusher I think you'd end up being net neutral
compared to what you would have had if you kept Gurb
and Dexter now you could end up trading out
of the spot with the Vikings sitting there
at 30 it could be a spot where the Titans try to move up
but the Bears I haven't seen them move out
of the first I haven't seen them be a team that they
really want to move out so I am going to end up sticking
and picking with the lack of defensive
interior talent they'll be available
at their next spot they're going to force their hand they're
going to take the upside shot
on Justin Scott defensive interior out of Miami number 29 the
Baltimore Ravens they've always been BPA sadly BPA is Tay Johnson
but this team does need to
have a future at tackle Cade Peepers here
as well sucks they just traded a second round pick for the
worst player in professional football it's not actually
but a little bit of rage bait for you
on a on a beautiful beautiful Thursday night
but I look at some other options here I like as a party
I'm not going to draft him to this team
but Elijah Page is an underrated player to draft in the first
round like it is one of those positions where
this team subtly needs it I mean part of me just wants
to go after Piper at this point that are Piper like it
is best player available um long term you
can have Beef Jurgens Piper and you'll want it
and I think that's going to be a really good trio
for the long haul we're going to go BPA
with Cade Piper number 30 Minnesota if they're at 30
there's a strong chance they don't want
to go QB I don't think they're going to look at a QB like
Menza, Moore, or Carr and say we're going to need to go
and select one of these guys granted they could
just say we've seen how well that's paired
that panned out with the Packers with how often they've
had competitive QBs you know what I like
that idea it hasn't worked for the Vikings in terms
of developing QBs but when you don't need one
that's probably a good time to get one we're
going to go CJ Carr quarterback out
of Notre Dame you don't know how badly I was pulled to try to go
after Tay Johnson there but thinking about the division
and what they've done best it's pretty
clear that especially with how expensive contracts
are you either have your guy or you don't you need
to nurture them in some way and so CJ
Carr going to be the selection there the Chiefs sitting here
at 31 I'm going to have them trade out uh I I just need
to see another QB go Darian Menz is a stud
and I'm trying to see a team that would
be willing to make a move like this I do think
the Arizona Cardinals need to end up being that team
and I just personally think that Dante Moore
and Darian Menza is going to be such a such
a difficult conversation Darian struggled a bit
more recently he has he's gone up against worse harder competition
and he has had some issues
but Dante Moore hasn't he just hasn't had
the notorious victories that you're looking for
Darius Menz is coming in experienced
so we are going to make a deal Kansas City Chiefs are
training with the Arizona Cardinals it's only
a hundred spot move up oh that's not bad that
seems a little bit off
but I am going to be offering a fourth round pick in this exchange
and personally if I'm the Chiefs I probably want
a little bit more than that so I will be asking
for a future four as well
and in return with the Cardinals looking at how their draft is kind of
like spaced out I'd be willing to give them back
a fifth round pick to kind of keep this pretty
fair and square like maybe you end up giving them
a little bit more in return like maybe you just
move up in the fourth round instead I feel like
that might be that might feel like a little bit
of a fleece job by Arizona
so I'm gonna stick to that round five selection right there and then
you can end up trying to toss in like a future five
or a future six just to make sure that this
trade goes through so Arizona moves up the Chiefs move back
so many good receivers by the way I
don't worry about it at all
and the question is which QB do we want to go with the Cardinals have
already gone after their offensive tackle they ended up going after
their very beloved Trevor
Gouzby and so do you want Dante Moore
or Darian Menza I'm going to go after Darian Menza he's the
more experienced player with the hot hand
so i'm going to target him there last but not least i
pick 32 for the San Francisco 49ers Tae Johnson's a quick
and easy selection here however can we
play the numbers game is there another team
that i'd be willing to trade with technically the
Titans the Titans want to go Dante Moore they easily could
and they already fixed their current
situation with their quarterback
or with their overall offensive line situation i don't know
if the edge rusher is going to provide as much value
as a qb upgrade here i think the titans
are going to trade away Cam Ward we're going
to make the trade the titans are making a one spot
move with the niners which allows the niners
to get some extra draft capital and still get the
exact player that i draft for them
so spoiler for tomorrow's first video um it costs more than a
six round pick to move up so we're going to cost in a pick pick 140
and then we're just going to
provide phantom value here we'll end up tossing
in like we'll toss in like a future fifth and six
because it's not going to end up making
a difference in our mock draft i'm not going to be
trading these probably tomorrow so we'll do that just
so the Titans accept the Titans make the jump
here and the Titans are going
to select Dante Moore quarterback out of Oregon and pray that the
ceiling is still there that's the video thank you
so much for watching showing the love you always
do stay tuned tomorrow's rounds two
and three love you see you later peace
I'll see you next time.
