'Most Dysfunctional White House' Abdul El-Sayed Humiliates Trump's New Appointment Of Stephen Miller

Donald Trump is reshaping his White House after a bruising midterm election setback, and his latest appointment is already triggering a political storm. Trump has elevated hardline advisor Stephen Miller to the powerful position of White House chief of staff. The decision has drawn fierce criticism from Democratic Senator-elect Abdul El-Sayed. But Miller's promotion The ocean also brings his controversial remarks about India back into focus. El-Sayed, Launched a sharp attack on Trump's decision. Reacting to Miller's appointment, the Michigan senator-elect called him a broken person and described the administration as the most dysfunctional White House in history. His remarks came in a post on X, taking direct aim at Trump's choice for one of the most powerful positions in Washington. Trump announced the appointment on November 6th. Miller will formally take charge on November 9th, replacing Susie Wiles. The 41-year-old has been part of Trump's inner circle since the 2016 presidential campaign. He most recently served as deputy chief of staff for policy and played a major role in shaping the administration's agenda. Miller is widely associated with Trump's aggressive immigration agenda. He has helped shape policies targeting undocumented migrants, expanding enforcement, and accelerating deportations. His promotion puts one of the administration's most influential policy architects directly at the center of White House decision-making. The move also signals continuity in Trump's hardline approach. But there is another reason Miller's elevation matters internationally, particularly for India. The incoming chief of staff has previously targeted New Delhi over its purchases of Russian oil and trade policies. Miller accused India of imposing massive tariffs on American goods and alleged that it was exploiting the U.S. immigration system. His past remarks could come under renewed scrutiny. As he moves into an even more influential position, Miller's criticism of India's Russian oil purchases comes against the backdrop of Washington's pressure on countries maintaining energy ties with Moscow. He has also taken issue with India's trade barriers, accusing New Delhi of treating American businesses unfairly. His views place trade and immigration among the potential areas of friction to watch in India-U.S. relations. However, His appointment does not automatically signal a change in Washington's policy towards India. The timing of Trump's decision is equally significant. Republicans suffered major setbacks in the 2026 midterm elections, with Democrats securing control of both the House and Senate. The incoming Democratic majority is preparing to intensify scrutiny of the Trump administration. Yet, Trump has responded by promoting one of his closest and most hardline advisors. Miller's promotion comes as Trump's immigration policies face renewed public scrutiny. An Associated Press report found roughly six in ten voters believe the administration's immigration enforcement actions had gone too far. His central role in shaping deportation policies could now make him a major target of congressional questioning. Trump has rejected suggestions that the election results prompted Wiles' departure. Asked about the change, he insisted it was simply time for a new arrangement. Wiles announced November 6th as her final day as chief of staff. Calling her service in the White House the honor of a lifetime. Meanwhile, Miller was reportedly seen chatting and giggling with Trump's executive assistant, Natalie Harp, as they left the White House. The Daily Beast reported the interaction as the pair walked towards Marine One, with Secretary of State Marco Rubio seen ahead of them. The report has added another layer of attention around Trump's inner circle following the leadership change. Miller's elevation is about more than a change of personnel. It puts a key architect of Trump's immigration and domestic agenda in charge of White House operations. For India, his past criticism over Russian oil, tariffs, and immigration will be closely watched. With Democrats preparing to challenge Trump at home and international relationships under pressure, Miller's new role could have implications well beyond Washington. Forward slash forward slash.
