Ladies and gentlemen, we have disturbance number one for the season,
the 2025 hurricane season, off and running.
90% chance of formation over the next couple of days,
and it looks like we could have a doozy.
This is a Pacific hurricane and not an Atlantic hurricane,
but this is a very, very common
place for hurricanes to form, usually moving towards Hawaii.
So we will look for this to become a tropical storm,
perhaps even a hurricane headed out
into the Pacific.
We do have cooler waters.
We're looking for 25 degrees north latitude,
so about where Hawaii is right around here,
just off screen.
So if that holds together, that would be the probable only impact area.
That said, it's our first storm of the 2025 season,
and now we're up to, I believe, a
90% chance of formation.
And if I did not mention it.
The first hurricane in the Pacific this year will be named Alvin.
Really, the first named storm,
even if it's not a hurricane, will be named Alvin.
Now, jumping over to Windy.com,
we will watch that system forming right here turn into a cyclone.
This is according to Windy.com's AI.
And I will say that Hawaii is up here.
It looks like it's taking much closer to the coast
and working its way up the west coast of the U.S.
And you'll see the rotation start to be perfect
with a good center eye right here.
This is going to be 48 hours from now.
You can see the formation.
It's going to be 72 hours of a hurricane, it looks like.
You know, this looks like it perhaps
may bounce back into Baja, Mexico,
i.e. the Gulf of California, Sea of Cortez.
With that said, there is some uncertainty with this storm,
so keep your eyes open if you happen to live in the Baja part of Mexico
or California.
Or if you live anywhere on the west coast of the U.S.
I will keep you up to date on any new tropical,
well, any type of developments, period.
God bless.
