You know, when we look at Brissett, I think it's
a pretty decent move if they want to be at least competitive.
What do you think of Brissett going to Baltimore?
Because Tyler Huntley, Snoop Huntley, is on the IR.
He's got turf toe.
It's probably season ending.
We'll see how turf toes.
It's kind of weird how you respond to them.
But Lamar Jackson's on the IR.
They said that's probably season ending,
regular season ending, I guess.
But now you have Brissett,
and Brissett for a few weeks in Arizona looked pretty decent, right?
Remember he held out?
Oh, John Everett.
There was a Jacoby Brissett holdout.
I can't believe that was a thing.
I just remembered that.
But in any case, he is going to be their quarterback in Week 10.
It's going to be Monday Night Football against the Chargers.
What an awesome matchup.
Ravens, Chargers, Lamar, and Justin Herbert.
Oh, that's right.
It's Jacoby Brissett, the 0-7 Chargers.
But what do you think about Jacoby Brissett?
Still Justin Herbert.
****, man.
If you saw Jacoby Brissett play this year,
you should be excited about him coming over to the Ravens.
I mean, next week, he might give you a 60-yard game.
Not a 60-yard play, a 60-yard game.
Sure.
I think, and this is why I'm really down
on what this season could become for them,
because Jacoby Brissett hasn't been good
the last couple of weeks.
And when you got a brand-new coach
and a brand-new offense, you should look good
because the league hasn't seen that coach
and they haven't seen that offense.
So you get a couple of weeks of grace
until the league gets tape on what the coach wants to do
and how the offense looks.
Look, the second that happened,
He got exposed, they got exposed, and they've been awful ever since.
He's not going to go into Baltimore and turn anything around.
He's just going to make these losses look more,
they're going to look better in the box score.
That's really all he's going to do.
And the fact that he held out to start the season is comical in itself.
It is.
Yeah, well, that's why.
I mean, I remember at the time, John,
we were both talking to ourselves like,
this guy is holding out?
Why is Brissette holding out?
This is held for star players.
This is held for all pros.
Bro, just take your contract.
What are you doing, man?
Take your money.
So,
So, yeah, listen, it's unfortunate for Baltimore
because coming into the season,
they were touted as one of the best AFC teams.
If you look at the construction of the team
What they expected, right?
Can we just say it's time to move on from Lamar Jackson?
If you're the Baltimore Ravens, he'll be good for another.
And here's why.
He'll be good for another organization.
This may be the third year in a row where all
your hopes are pinned on him
and he's unavailable for you when time comes to win.
He's going to be making $65 to $70 million.
He's going to be one of those guys.
And the second he doesn't get something his way, you can't find him.
Now, this is a legit injury when he hurt his hand.
So I'm not saying that that's the issue.
What I'm saying is.
At this point, he's injury prone.
And if you're a franchise looking for a franchise quarterback,
I scratched my head when Atlanta, you know, passed on him.
Now I'm like, well, you know, now that you look at it,
they probably did the right thing.
Yeah, and, you know, there's rumors of him going to, you know,
New England, right before they got Drake May.
There's a lot of rumors everywhere.
So I just think that with this team
and with how they're kind of constructed,
I think they're going to stick with him, John.
I really don't think that they're going to move on from him
because you look around the league,
other teams are going to have to give up stuff, right?
They're going to have to give up something
to go get Lamar Jackson.
I think Baltimore is probably going to ask for a lot too.
So you look at all these kind of different things
going back together and it's like,
Dude, I still see him being there
and I'm trying to make this thing work.
And whether that's for better or for worse, I don't know.
But we'll have to see what this Ravens do.
It's just kind of a disaster right now.
