Shooting a few targets in my garden with the Ruger 10/22 rimfire rifle.
I was using Winchester subsonics (40gr) on a variety of targets including paper targets, cans and pumice (a soft rock).

Hello there. Welcome back. I've got a spare half hour.
It's absolutely chucking it down with rain,
so it's not worth going out into the woods to make a video.
I'm going to have a little bit of shooting, I think, with my .22.
That's it there. .22 semi-automatic. It's a Ruger 10/22.
It's a big silly banana clip, which takes 25 rounds.
I won't be using all those 25 rounds in one go,
I don't think, but it makes it look cool, if nothing else.
I'm going to be shooting a few paper targets,
a few cans, and also some rocks.
Now, hopefully shooting those things
is a little bit more exciting than it sounds.
I'm going to be using Winchester subsonics,
which travel at approximately 1,065 feet per second.
Now, I've zeroed the scope at approximately 40 yards,
but I'm going to be shooting at around about 35 yards,
so it shouldn't be too far out.
Not going to be taking me time. It's going to be fairly rapid fire.
And we'll just see how we get on. Here we go.
Now
this
is a
chalky
sort
of a
rock
called
pumice.
It's a volcanic rock and it's also very light so it floats.
So this time I'm going to chuck this approximately 35 yards away
and shoot it as it floats on the water with the .22.
Might as well
clear it up.
There we go.
Well
there
you
go.
I
hope
you
enjoyed
that.
I went through quite a few rounds there
but it was all in the name of fun and most of them hit
the target. I think if the weather ever fares up I'll bring
my bags of water out. I've got loads of
bags of water about this big
which I intend hanging from the trees and shooting them so
you can see them explode
and this camera that I'm filming on now has a slow motion function
so I'm going to try and get videos of things exploding
when they get hit with a rifle.
To try and get some cool slow-motion shots.
And I actually might try and get slow-motion shots of the gun cycling.
So when the slide's going backwards and forwards.
The spent rounds are flying out.
I think that'll look pretty cool in slow-motion.
