Tip (From) Your Caddie
Nov 5, 2026
We're here with the star of the show, Jon.
Ben, thank you as well for joining us,
but it's really about Jon right now.
Hey everybody, Holly Levitter here,
coming to you from El Cardinal
for the Worldwide Technology Championship.
Just like WWT prides themselves
on being caddies to their customers,
the best golfers in the world
can't do what they do without their team.
So I'm heading out to chat
with some of the best loopers in the game
to get some tips on how to keep their players happy.
It's a little bit.
All right, Sam, caddy of the Luke Donald.
Best tip for me.
For me it's just about like being honest and speaking your mind
and not just being like a yes man and agreeing.
Luckily I've worked for a guy
who hits the ball usually where he wants to hit it.
Sometimes I don't think everyone could say
the same for themselves you know so that
makes it a little bit easier.
Luke employs me for a reason so I like to think he will
I think I add value sometimes,
so if I've got something to say, then just voice it.
All right Stone, I need your best caddie tips.
Show up on time and know when to shut up.
Have you ever not been on time?
No.
John, any tips for when it comes to caddying or anything that you see
when you when you caddie and you watch amateurs play?
Mainly know the wind direction.
I just attack and my ball kind of pierces through the wind.
Do you ever feel like you're a therapist out there sometimes?
Yes, maybe sometimes a babysitter too, yeah.
Any tips for staying cool and just how do we manage the sweat?
I basically don't clean the club with the part of the towel I sweat on,
I think that's a pretty good tip.
Any tips for managing a professional golfer's golf bag?
I like it to be neat, like I like to have
the clubs in like ascending order,
but that's just, I mean it doesn't really...
So you like that or does Luke?
I like that, it's all about me.
We try to keep the wedges down low, you know.
But the short irons on the left, mid irons on the right.
OK, great.
Some guys like to flip-flop them, which is kind of unnerving to me.
That would be weird.
Yeah.
Right?
At this point, are you used to it?
Does it ever get, like, super heavy, and you're like, oh my gosh,
I wish I had?
Or, like, are you so used to it at this point?
No comment, Taylor.
Take some of the stuff out, man.
I always carry the umbrella.
Lou shouts at me for it.
He's like, what are you doing?
He pays me to carry his stuff, so I carry it.
You know, you're playing in these pro-ams,
you're seeing amateurs play, anything that
comes to mind that you're like, man,
I wish I could just tell them this information?
Yeah, I mean, I think we do.
Keith does a great job of it.
He's incredible in pro-ams,
helps everybody out if they ask for it, especially.
I think the biggest thing
is amateurs don't pay attention to their tempo.
I think that's massive for a goal scorer.
I think we just, name of the game,
just put the ball in the hole as fast as you can, you know.
Pretty good, I like that, I like that.
You don't hit it as far as you think you do, most of the time.
Like 90% of the time they're short of the green.
Play to the back edge maybe, you'll probably never get there.
Just club up, hit more club.
Just a little bit.
