La Turbie, France | A Charming Medieval Village on the French Riviera

🇫🇷 Welcome to La Turbie, a charming historic village on the French Riviera, near Monaco and the beautiful Côte d’Azur!

Join me for a peaceful walking tour through the narrow cobblestone streets of La Turbie, discovering ancient stone arches, colorful Mediterranean houses, beautiful flowers, traditional French architecture and hidden corners full of history.

🏛️ One of the highlights of this walk is the famous Trophy of Augustus (Trophée d’Auguste), an impressive ancient Roman monument built around 6 BC to celebrate Emperor Augustus and Rome’s victories over Alpine tribes.

Located high above Monaco, La Turbie offers a wonderful combination of Roman history, medieval charm and the atmosphere of a traditional village in the South of France.

If you love discovering hidden gems, beautiful French villages, medieval architecture, and quiet places away from the busy tourist destinations, I hope you enjoy this walk.
