What is the remainder of Donald Trump's presidency likely to look like?
It's going to be pretty chaotic for Donald Trump,
basically because it's the House of
Representatives that will decide on the budget.
And now the House of Representatives is in the
hands of the Democrats. So if they don't like what Donald Trump
is doing, even if he thinks
as president of the United States,
he can sign a decree to go ahead and do it. If there's no money,
he won't be able to do it.
So he's going to find himself really, I think, in a position of a lame
duck president from now onwards.
And I think there's also a sentiment that within
the Republican Party itself, Trump has been beaten.
He's still president for the next two years,
but the search will be on for the successor candidate.
And there are rumors that Democrats could impeach him another time.
Anyone else on the list that could wind up in the same situation?
The Democrats will be a little bit.
I'm less enthusiastic about trying
to impeach Donald Trump a third time.
Remember, no president of the United States has ever
been impeached as much as Donald Trump.
I think that as they knew last time round,
they couldn't manage to pull it off
because they didn't have the two-thirds
majority they needed to do that.
To answer the other part of your question, yeah,
there are other people on the list who could be impeached.
I think...
Robert Kennedy Jr., the health minister, he could be one of them.
And also the other one that comes to mind, I think everybody's mind,
is Pete Hegseth, the Secretary of Defense.
So, yes, I think there will be some impeachment proceedings,
but maybe not for Donald Trump straight away.
Thank you very much for that, Philip Terrell there.
