Ladies and gentlemen, Lascaux C3 has caught
a meteor shower passing through between COS19 and our sun.
We currently have three...
Meteor showers ongoing, we're going to take a look at those.
It's going to be real hard to determine which one this is,
but I thought it was more than
interesting.
Again, we have three meteor showers ongoing simultaneously.
It's the first of the three,
the Southern Delta Aquarids, I hope I said that right.
It peaked around the 30th, it'll be active through August 12th.
Next, we have the Alpha.
Capricornids it also peaked around the 30th and will
also be going through around the 12th. Now these
are pretty much running together and I will show you how that works.
We have a third and final.
Now I'm sure I'm butchering these names
and do apologize but the Perseids active currently
and it will be active through the 23rd.
It will peak around August 12th and 13th.
Let's take a look at these meteor showers.
Now, I have a diagram for two of the three,
but for the Southern Delta Aquariids, I do not.
It's going to be going through the 12th here.
It started on July 18th, peaked around the 30th.
The parent object was 96P Machholz.
Next, we have the Alpha Capricornids meteor shower.
And it looks like this is a dust cloud left over
by comet 169P NEAT.
And it looks like Earth, in blue here,
passes through the tail of the orbit of that comet in late July.
Remember, it peaked July 30th,
will be active through about the 12th of August.
I'm going to move this one around a little bit
so y'all can see exactly where it is as far as the...
Elliptical plane there, it is pretty close to the plane itself,
and of course, this is going to be Jupiter,
red's going to be Mars, Earth is going to be here in blue.
You can see that it spreads out past Jupiter.
Now, next, now finally we have the Perseids meteor shower,
and if I'm butchering the name, my apologies.
This one peaks around the 12th, but is active currently.
And you can see that it's
a whole different creature near the elliptical plane.
And it goes much,
much further out past Jupiter and past all the gas giants here.
Much larger tail.
This is a dust tail from Comet Swift-Tuttle.
And we'll see if we can get in there and see what passes through.
Looks like this is the area it passes through right here.
It's going to be August 12th, mid-August.
Although this is active, as you can see,
the tail itself is more than quite long.
This looks like it would actually be active for some time period.
So there you have the three active meteor showers currently.
Having three active at one time is kind of crazy.
And we've caught one of them.
here on LASCO C3 anybody have a guess
as to which one greatly appreciated in the comments below
that said god bless please share our information share our video
