Evidence of extreme violence against a Palestinian prisoner
who was threatened by Itamar Ben-Gvir.
Palestinians return to ransacked homes in Hebron
as Israeli forces continue their arrests.
And Israel's election committee upholds
the results of last week's vote.
This is Jerusalem Daily,
bringing you the latest from Palestine and Israel.
In September, Israeli Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir posted this video
where he's seen threatening Palestinian prisoner Hassan Salam.
I want to go to the court, I want to go to the trial court in the next few days
After a recent visit,
Salameh's lawyer says Israeli forces beat Hassan and shot him nine
times during a raid on his cell.
Salameh is now in critical condition.
Across the occupied West Bank, Israeli arrests are still on the rise.
This is the moment Al Jazeera's correspondent,
Montasar Nassar, was detained by Israeli
forces at his home.
They blindfolded and handcuffed him.
During an overnight raid on Douro, near Hebron,
Nasser was released a few hours later on Tuesday.
But he wasn't the only one arrested in the raid.
And the fallout from Israel's 10-day lockdown of Hebron goes on.
Displaced families are returning to their homes,
only to find they have been ransacked by Israeli forces.
Over in Tuqa,
near Bethlehem,
Israeli forces assaulted and arrested this farmer
while he was picking olives.
Meanwhile, Israeli settlers vandalized
and looted a house in Nablus.
And south of the city,
video shows Israeli forces demolishing Martyr Square.
It's a symbolic location
where people gather to honor Palestinians killed by Israel.
Nearby, settlers set fire to agricultural land.
They started another fire just a short drive away.
In Gaza, Palestinians gathered at the site
of yet another Israeli attack on Gaza City.
The deadly strike
on a vehicle brought Monday's total death toll to four.
Nearby, two young girls sang for their imprisoned father
during a solidarity sit-in for Palestinian prisoners.
And over in Israel, opposition leader Yair Golan warned
that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu
could manufacture an emergency as a way of clinging to power.
In the name of this, he is ready to impose a security crisis
that will endanger the citizens of Israel and the IDF fighters
in a way that will allow him to destroy the democratic process
and create conditions for the continuation of his rule.
The chairman of Israel's election committee
has rejected Netanyahu's request for a recount.
It follows repeated calls by his Likud party
to overturn the election results,
citing alleged fraud.
