There's a crucial race for Senate. It pits Republican
Mike Rogers against progressive Democrat Abdullah Syed.
His stance on Medicare is super important.
I'm in medicine myself, so I'm very passionate about the field.
And I think that the more people have access to it,
the better it will be for everyone in the long run.
Health care is a human right. Everybody deserves it,
not just the privileged or those who can necessarily afford it.
You know, and not just...
Basic health care, good health care.
I think he's a remarkable talent, a remarkable political talent.
You know, he's potentially kind of like Obama.
He could really shake things up.
I have a 17-year-old son,
so he's going out into this world and a lot of the way the world
is right now with our prices, our economy,
the division, AI, there's just so many things
that aren't really being paid attention
to by the current administration.
Well, for me, I'm kind of traditional.
I like American values.
You know, I'm a father of four, so family values are important to me.
I also have Christian values as well,
so I want to keep a lot of those protected.
I'm also a veteran, and I see
the importance of having a strong military.
I want whoever's going to help the middle class.
I want police who's going to help the police,
and then we want to make sure that our taxes aren't too high.
Seems like the lower class gets everything all
the time. No matter when you vote,
it always affects the lower class.
They always get something, but how about if the middle class,
the hard workers, we're the ones that are working,
how about if we get something?
Not having socialism.
In the United States, it's a big deal.
It takes away economic freedom.
It takes away people's personal choice.
I think there's a degradation of health care,
and I think the normalization of something
that is the antithesis of America is concerning.
Although voters in Detroit tend to sway Democrat,
out here in rural areas, there are a lot of
Republicans.
It's going to be a close race here in Michigan.
