Well, we're going to cross then to Kyiv,
talk to our correspondent, Emmanuel Shaz, who joins us from there.
Emmanuel, first of all, bring us up to date
then on the overnight attacks.
Well, those overnight attacks, you know,
spanned all across the country here, 289 drones and nearly
80 missiles, according to the Ukrainian authorities.
And not only was energy infrastructure
once again targeted, but also hospitals throughout the country.
You've mentioned a strike on a school
in the Zaporizhia region.
Not only the death toll is already really high, but there's also
Nearly 50 people who are still missing.
They were struck by aerial bombs,
3,000-kilogram bombs launched in several waves in what Russia
often uses, a double tap,
to try and inflict maximum damage on a site where rescuers are
already responding and trying to already save the first victim.
There's also a hospital complex that has
been hit in the city of Kharkiv.
And there again, there's 46 pages.
Patients who have been injured, 200 patients,
mostly elderly people, face now evacuation
as the hospital complex has suffered extensive damage.
And finally, in Dnipro city,
another hospice has been struck there again.
People were injured. It was a hospice that was sheltering.
Terminally ill patients, elderly patients, so those strikes have
been really very hard on the Ukrainian population on top
of damaging and already very scarce energy infrastructure.
And it comes as well, doesn't it, Emmanuel, after another
shocking attack yesterday on a school that was distributing aid?
Yeah, that was a strike I was mentioning earlier in Zaporizhia region,
people there were gathering,
locals were gathering to collect humanitarian aid
in a local school. As you can imagine,
schools don't function in the region anymore.
However, buildings can be used to shelter NGOs,
shelter humanitarian aid.
That's where elderly people, people with disabilities would
We would gather to try and collect every week,
every month, some humanitarian aid, first aid kits,
any means that can make their life a little bit easier.
There were first few aerial bombs dropped on site and then us people
were sheltering their shelter as well as the rescuers were targeted.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy denounced yet again another,
you know, a war crime committed by Russia.
And he says that those strikes just show
that Russia has no intention of gearing toward
the ceasefire or of, you know,
decreasing the amount of strikes it launches at civilians here.
Emmanuel, thank you very much.
