Hey everyone, it's Deja from crocheteverafter.com.
Today I'm going to go over the Knit Picks Chroma line.
If you've read my About page on my blog,
you know that this is my favorite yarn of all time.
It is just such an easy yarn to work
with and it makes great colors.
It's perfect for crochet because the color runs really long
so you can get good stripes out of it.
Now, Knit Picks just came out with some new colorways,
and I got my hands on four of them.
I'll just go over them real quick.
This one is Weather Vane,
and it's got some really nice pretty blues and just very kind
of different sky colors that you would find.
I have Sandpiper,
and this kind of has some oceany greens and grays, light grays.
It'll be real pretty.
Alrighty, then we have...
Lupine, which has a lot of pinks and purples and deep blues,
very beautiful.
And we have sugar cookie. Not sure why they call this sugar cookie,
but you can't really tell here, but it's got some pinks in it.
So it's kind of pinkish and green.
Kind of an interesting name for this one.
But all of these looked really pretty online.
Now I'm going to see how they crochet up because what Knit Picks used
to do, so say your colors on your yarn were red, orange, yellow, the
Colors would go red-orange-yellow,
red-orange-yellow, so it would be after another.
I've heard that these are now mirroring,
so you would get red-orange-yellow, orange-red.
So I'm going to check that out.
These are going to be made into patterns that I already have available,
but they'll be made in the Knit Picks yarn,
so I can sell them on the Knit Picks website.
Website.
So as I make each thing up,
I'm going to show you how it crocheted up and how the colors look.
So, get ready!
I'm gonna show you kind of how the color runs go.
You can see this is why I like
chroma so much because you get such long color runs
of each color. You can see I'm
getting this is a heart lace infinity scarf.
You can see I can get almost like a
full heart out of each of these.
So such great colors. This is heart lace. This one
is the diamond infinity.
This one's more subtle colors, the blues. Stitch
This definition is great.
Even though it's wool, it's pretty soft.
It's not like the softest wool I've ever touched,
but it's also not itchy at all.
The one problem that I will admit to having with this yarn,
even though I love it to death, is that it will get stuck on itself
because you can see it's a one ply if you look closely at the side.
This is all one-ply, it's just twisted on itself, so when you have
to frog it, a lot of times it will get stuck on itself,
so you have to be patient when you're pulling it out
so that you don't actually rip the yarn apart because it is a one-ply.
I have some gloves here.
This one has kind of, this is a little bit color changes.
You can get, this is kind of worked all the way around,
so you can see I got a couple rows out of each color.
So this will be a little bit shorter on the color changes,
but really pretty colors that look really good together.
So the Chroma, I love it. I always use it. I have two new colors.
Here's one of them that I'm going to be using very soon
that I'm going to make up, I think, a scarf for this one, too.
Oh, this is Lakefront. I was thinking that this was Lakefront.
I'm going to skip the name.
This is, I'm going to be using this, very pretty blue.
So check out the blog if you want to see how that looks when it's done.
This is Chroma.
I highly recommend it, go to knitpicks.com to check it out.
It also comes in worsted weight,
so you can get the same colors but in a thicker yarn.
So lots of uses, comes with tons of yardage, 400 yards,
396 for each ball, so it's well worth the price.
Right now I think it's like $9.99 a ball, but most yarns you're
not going to get 400 yards, so a really good deal.
And I can make this whole scarf out of one ball,
so it's a $10 scarf that looks beautiful.
So, that is Chroma. If you have tried Chroma,
let me know what you think of it, but thank you for watching!
