What happened with Canelo?
There was a big fight this weekend.
Canelo Alvarez is staving off father time at 36 years old.
He looked good.
He looked sharp.
Very strong.
He has that old man strength, let's be honest.
But you've got to remember
that Canelo turned professional at 17 years old.
So the mileage that he has, he always looked older for his age.
They basically circumvented the amateur route.
They were putting you as a professional.
And there's a lot of mileage on him.
He still has the power and the precision.
What I'm worried about is that Christian Mbelle,
the guy that he beat for the WBC Super Middleweight Title,
which he won back after losing to Terence Crawford.
He did put some combinations on Canelo that showed
that he can't completely protect himself.
Now, Canelo ate those punches, okay?
Well, he's weathered.
He knows how to take that.
But he also has a big head.
When you see Canelo's head, look,
I love boxing, but I could never be a boxer.
Not because of my hands, but because I have a pea head.
He'll knock my head right off my shoulders.
Canelo is a bulldog.
Yeah.
But I don't want to see him taking those kind of combinations too much.
You know, he's going to be finished.
I think he's very, very, you know, a handful of fights
As we can see, he's already setting up the future boys.
And a bunch of big-time names are calling out.
So, Conor McGregor, who's a UFC fighter, but he fought...
That would be a great...
He said his retirement fight.
So, he has one fight left on his UFC contract.
If he gets that one fight, now the UFC might play games
and try to like stave off booking that fight.
Ginger and Ginger Biles.
Oh, that would be amazing.
But, you know, Conor McGregor says that he wants
to fight out his UFC contract and his retirement fight.
He wants to have against Canelo.
But I'm finishing off with something about Canelo.
I do believe that these last couple of years,
Canelo is going to be more of a cultural icon in the United States.
Yes.
His interviews in English, he's showing off his English skills.
After years of not.
He's always used an interpreter
because he doesn't want to be misunderstood,
but his English is really well-suited, similar to his personality.
He's putting out apparel.
Canelo getting ready.
We're going to be speaking to a designer of his apparel.
We showed some of that last week.
So I believe that Canelo is going to make
a big cultural impact in the last couple of years.
