Just flipped to November.
Yep.
It is November 2nd.
Holiday preparations are reaching new heights,
you could say, in Fairfax.
In the Grove.
Brooke is live there with a 100-foot Christmas tree.
Oh, you're ready to...
You look so good in a hard hat.
Oh, thank you.
It's because they're not asking me to do anything
that I would need the hard hat for.
Because, you know.
No, I didn't go over there.
Nobody here would be happy with me, okay,
if they needed some physical work done.
Look at this.
How cool is this?
And wait, can I pick up that little piece that came out of the middle?
Is that okay?
Can I grab this?
Yeah.
Oh, yeah.
Okay.
It's heavy.
Oh, wait.
It's way heavier than I thought.
While you guys are looking at the tree.
Okay, so they had to saw this out of there,
out of the bottom of the tree to get it in
there, get it situated.
So this came fresh from the forest.
And I got to tell you.
It smells good.
It's what you smell this Tony.
Can you smell that?
Nice. It's kind of cool, right?
This is really cool.
It's actually way heavier than I thought.
But it's like, yeah, I mean, we know how trees work.
It's just really cool.
Everything about this is absolutely magical to me though, absolutely.
This is the 25th holiday celebration out here at the Grove.
They're calling it iconic.
They're calling it historic.
It's absolutely beautiful.
Like you guys just said a 100 foot tree, the big celebration.
That's what we all care about, right?
That happens at five o'clock.
On November 16th, and then
of course it snows here every day after that until the holiday
season is over.
But it's just absolutely really cool just
from the process of, I know we had sky fox
following the tree as it kind of arrived here earlier
this morning around six o'clock.
And then watching the little bits as it was lifted up
and as it was put in there,
and as you can see, they're working really hard
to get everything in there situated.
And then, of course, it will be decorated on the 16th.
I believe Lance Bass is hosting. He's
always one of the hosts,
and he's going to be on our show tomorrow on Good Day LA.
And so we're in the holiday spirit, okay? You, me, and Mariah Carey.
Yes.
It's really exciting.
She didn't say it's time yet.
She did though.
Did she?
Did she say it was time already?
I think she did say it was time.
Oh, she did say it was time.
She did in a new, she said it was time in a new Gucci commercial.
She's doing it bigger than us this season.
Like literally the day after Halloween.
You make a lot of money when you have that many number one hits, right?
But no, this is just really magical, it's cool,
I can't believe I'm smelling a piece
of wood that came out of a tree,
and it's giving me butterflies, but it's really exciting.
Yeah, the smell of pine is so great.
It's nice.
It is.
Yes, and it's really cool.
And I'm OSHA compliant.
Okay?
Yep, very important.
Let me grab a shovel.
So if you guys need any help, I've got my, do you need any help?
Get to work, Brooke.
Yeah?
Yeah.
They need- No, you're supposed to say no.
You're supposed-
No, no, no, you're supposed to say no.
They're like, sure, sure.
Like, I was willing.
Go grab a wedge.
You know what I mean?
They're all like, yeah, come on over.
No, no, no, no, no, no, no.
More bodies.
That is...
Yeah, no, but this is really awesome.
You know, it's going to be big.
I was just saying, I do have a lot of family coming out here,
and every time I think about it, I feel like I could tear up.
But I cannot wait to bring all the little kids here,
and they think we're just shopping.
It's not foreign to come out to the mall
and shop with Auntie Brooke, Big Cousin Brooke.
But when it starts to snow,
And when the music starts to jingle
and how beautiful the lights are, I cannot wait to see
the looks on their faces because it's just
a magical experience. And that's what this is
all about. I'll send things back to you in the studio
because I could talk about
Christmas and this tree for much longer than you'd like.
Bye.
