NOAA - Geomagnetic Storm Expected On September 14th 2025!

James Kaufman, World News Report. Today, butterfly-shaped coronal hole in our sun. The hole is open in the sun's atmosphere and is venting a stream of solar wind towards Earth. NASA's Solar Dynamic Observatory photographed the 500,000-kilometer-wide butterfly-shaped gap on September 11, today. This is a coronal hole, a region in the sun's atmosphere where magnetic fields open up and allow solar winds to escape. Coral holes look dark because of hot plasma normally contained there is missing. The gaseous material is on the loose and it's on its way to Earth. A stream of solar wind flowing from this coral hole should reach Earth on September 14th. Its arrival could spark a G1 to G2 class geomagnetic storm. The odds of these solar winds hitting Earth and causing a geomagnetic storm have increased because of the Russell-McPherron effect. This links the magnetic fields strongly between the Sun and Earth during the weeks around all the equinoxes. So we should be looking for. An uptick in solar winds on September 14th in about three days. And again, they're looking for a G1 to G2 class geomagnetic storm at that time. God bless.
