Hey guys, thanks so much for tuning in this week to this Georgia Clay
and this week's vlog. It is
officially time for Christmas.
Yesterday was Halloween and I hope you guys celebrated it
safely. But now that we've got that out of the way,
it is time for all things Christmas. So we
are starting off in our primary bedroom.
First, we're going to go ahead and clean up things. So
we're going to go ahead and strip the bed and get ready.
Let's welcome Christmas 2026.
So it is crazy to think that Christmas is already here
and the season of giving and
just being with family and friends is upon us.
But this is our second year in our new home,
and I love putting our Christmas tree over
in this corner.
I've never put a Christmas tree in our last home
in our bedroom, which is strange.
But in this home, I just felt like I definitely love those cozy vibes.
But of course, we have to set the tone,
turn on the fireplace and get everything ready.
And this year we are partnering with my friends at King of Christmas
and I'm so excited to be
partnering with them once again this time within my bedroom space.
And of course before we go ahead
and unbox the tree I definitely wanted to make sure
that I put down a tree collar. Now I've
had this tree collar for some years now.
I got it from Target and I love the scalloped details.
Today we're partnering with King of Christmas
and I absolutely love their trees.
This is a nine foot king noble fir
and it's flocked and has 700 warm lights on it and
LED of course.
And last year I did.
Um, have one of their trees,
which was called the Rushmore Fir and it was nine feet.
Absolutely gorgeous.
I'll insert a clip here to show you how that tree looked.
Um, that one was on last year.
This year it is lit.
I am utilizing multiple different types
of greenery this year being flocked and unflocked.
So I wanted to have a flocked tree in our bedroom.
Um, and I thought last year I had a seven and a half.
um tree but this year i
was like you know what i want a nine foot tree to
make a nice presence here in this particular corner of our bedroom
um we do have nine foot ceilings as well so
i'm never afraid to utilize all of that space
and definitely go for a nine foot
but let's
go ahead
and unbox
Let me know in the comments have you guys started unboxing your trees?
it
Did you purchase a new tree this year?
Are you thinking about this tree? I'm telling you guys
as you see me unbox it it's absolutely gorgeous.
The flocking on it is just light and just
beautiful. Sometimes you get a flocked tree
and I feel like they just over flock it but this one has
just the right amount balance.
It allows you still to see the beautiful greenery throughout the tree
and then also just having that nice flocking
on it where it looks like just fresh snow.
It's just perfection.
So again, this tree is nine feet tall, but you're going to make sure
that you have enough space for the tree
because it does have a 60 inch base
and it does come with the tree stand.
As you'll see, I was not able to utilize my tree collar
because of the tree stand,
but definitely I have the space to be able to accommodate my tree here.
It does offer eight light modes and a timer
and dimming function which I do love because
sometimes you get a tree and it's just absolutely too bright
and I love to be able to make this a
lot more moodier in our bedroom
so that way it doesn't look like I just have a big glaring
tree in the corner.
It definitely looks realistic and I just absolutely love it.
It does also come with a power pole which means that each time that you
I'm going to let you...
Put one base into the next one.
So again, it comes in parts A, B, and C.
Once you connect C to B and A and so forth,
each time it'll light up, which makes it perfect.
Because sometimes you get those trees
where you're having to connect the light source individually
and no one has time for that.
But I just absolutely love how this one
from King of Christmas just hits the mark every time
with that exception to quality that's unbeatable.
I also love that they come with gloves.
And this definitely is going to make fluffing a breeze.
Fluffing is really the key
of getting your tree to look
as realistic as possible.
I mean these trees have been compressed in these boxes
for who knows how long and they really need
that time to just be able to unravel for them to be fluffed
and give them all of their glory.
But as you see I just put that base within the other base
and it automatically lights up.
Guys, I am just looking at this footage
and I'm looking back like I just love the Christmas
spirit and Christmas holiday season.
I feel like Christmas is more than just a day.
It clearly for me in our home,
it starts November 1st all the way until I would say maybe the
middle of January.
I try not to take down my trees until after New Year's.
But let me know in the comments,
do you guys keep your trees up all year?
I know some people just love Christmas that much.
They keep them up all year.
I'm not that into it.
But, but I.
I definitely appreciate just its beauty
and how it makes the home feel and how it makes
me feel personally.
It just takes all of the stress away
and I feel like I'm just in these moments when I'm
spending time making my home
nice and cozy for my family
that I can just decompress.
I also love that they come with their own
personalized Kangol Christmas bag so you can
store your Christmas tree easily
when this holiday season is over so I definitely love
that.
It also comes with a remote as well.
So you can turn it off utilizing the remote.
You can turn it on as well.
You also can set a timer for it.
You can also have the brightness adjusted as well.
So it does dim.
And then also you can change the twinkle effect.
So here she is all fluffed out.
And this tree is more of a sparse looking tree,
which I definitely love.
Kind of reminds me of like a little Charlie Brown tree.
And it is nine feet, so it is glorious.
It looks more white here
because I have a direct LED light shining on it.
So that's the reason for the color differences.
But it is like this, how the remaining portion of the tree is.
I do have two little visitors today.
So I have Aaliyah sleeping here and then I have Teddy.
over here so yeah he's got his little sweater
on because it is a little chilly so anyhow we have
the vibes set and these are the decor pieces that i'm gonna try
and do i want more like although the
rest of my trees are gonna have um some gingerbread elements
to it i want our tree in our bedroom to
be a little bit more mature
so i still have my robert um stanley glass ornaments which i
absolutely love i do have another box just like
this in the morning room that i plan on grabbing
Um, I did buy this year some LED candles,
um, that I can hang on the tree.
I do love these because they do have, like,
basically the bottom of the LED candle is
like an ornament, so I do love that.
I get, like, basically a two for one.
And I do have some ribbon that I plan on using.
So I'm going to use that brown velvet ribbon
that I showed you guys in a previous vlog.
And then I have some ornaments from last year as well.
I do have quite a bit more, but I'm going to utilize those.
And then I'm going to add just my gingerbread Santa
and Mrs. Claus on the tree.
I do plan on incorporating some black as well.
I did have another box of these beautiful Mercury Star ornaments.
So I plan on putting those on the tree as well.
They are just gorgeous. I love them.
Um and then like I said I have some ornaments from last year.
These are not all of the ornaments.
I'm just going through them
because I did not pack my ornaments like I should have once the
season was over. So I do plan on being better with that this year.
So I'm gonna stop talking
and put the camera down and we will get to work
on this beautiful beauty. All right y'all I am so
proud. I watched a little video um on YouTube how
to make a Christmas bow and I literally
Just made a bow with some tails um to go at the top of the tree.
I will have the video linked in
the description because it helped me
and I'm not one to tie bows or anything like that. I normally
just buy the bows but it's hard to find bows
that look really good that are this size so I was able
I did use some I'll show you some gauge wire
to crumple it basically in the middle here. I have
floral wire and I think this one is 12 gauge wire
which you don't need that. I don't know
why I purchased it but anyways um but I just made like
a little cuff here to cover that and
I plan on attaching it this whole thing like
this basically to the tree at the top.
As my little centerpiece, my little topper should I say.
So I plan on doing that and then you won't
be able to see the wire but I need to go find my floral wire.
It's just downstairs in the chaotic
mess so I'm going to utilize what I have for now
and then definitely if I decide to start making
more of these, of course smaller,
throughout the tree which I think would be so beautiful,
Beautiful.
then I will definitely go get the floral wire.
So let's go ahead and put this up on the tree.
Okay, so...
Anyone that's been here for a while knows
that I am not a crafty person.
I love to design, but when it comes to like
the small details like this, I get overwhelmed.
And as you can see, I'm trying to deal with Teddy
and he will not let me live my best life.
He's just messing with the ribbon.
I was getting frustrated and it just didn't seem like it was
coming out correctly.
So I took my time to find a YouTube video because there were so many
bow instructions, but they just were just overcomplicated
and I need something that
Something that was super simple and for this one it was just
Basically crossing two pieces of the ribbon
and crimping it in the middle and then attaching
floral wire.
So as you can see here,
Ashley's demonstrating and I think it came out really good.
I know it didn't have the, um,
Where you normally wrap around the tail
and it creates the middle part where it looks really
cute and petite but no one's really going to be that close to my tree
and also I can just go ahead
and attach another piece of ribbon
to cover up where I actually attached the bow and I think it
I think it came out just perfect.
Once I had the bow the way I liked it or at a good spot,
I did go ahead and cut off the
excess zip tie.
Now I did not use zip ties on all of my bows,
I really used it on this one because I knew
I was going to be attaching this particular bow to my mirror
and I have some garland there
but I was making the bows here
but I just wanted to take some time and show you guys.
Now this is not a bow tutorial,
there are plenty of them on YouTube, I'm just showing
Showing you what I use in order to create this look.
And this is a wire that I was talking about
so it's pretty heavy duty and I guess it would be
good to like be able to use it to hang your heavy ornaments.
Definitely recommend this one so I'll
have it linked on my LTK as well.
If you guys are interested in this particular tree or any trees
from King of Christmas I will have
their information linked in the description. So again
thank you so much King of Christmas for partnering
with me this year. I absolutely love this
beautiful tree.
I think she
looks great
but I need to tuck
in that piece
at the top jewel.
Beautiful, oh I love it,
my first Christmas bow.
While I'm here, so fluffy, since I finally can get
to the top of the tree,
yay for me, I love it.
All right.
So now that we have our topper on let's go ahead
and start decorating because of course that's
everyone's favorite part is to decorate.
So like I mentioned I did fluff my tree already but you'll
want to make sure that that's the first step that you
do before just putting ornaments on your tree
to make it look as realistic and as cool as possible.
You definitely want to make
sure that you fluff it. I got these paper ornaments from Amazon.
I absolutely love them.
And these ones are brown and darker brown.
I have like a khaki color on my main tree,
but I think that these were such a great buy.
You get eight of them and I think it was I can't remember the price.
I had to put the price on the screen, but I love that for that price.
And they do come together with a magnet.
I want to say that, too.
So you just let me do another one.
So here's a magnet.
If you can see it, it's right there.
And then you just open them up.
So, and then the magnet attaches,
and then you have your ornament, perfect.
I absolutely love these.
Definitely looks like something you can get
from
Pottery
Barn, very
high end.
Now, since this tree is a little bit more sparse
and the branches kind of flare out,
kind of like fingers, I guess,
I definitely am going to utilize some of the branches
to put more ornaments on.
So I'll have some further in,
and then I'll have some on the tips.
Let me show you.
So for example, for this one, I'm gonna place,
I have some glass ornaments from last year.
That I love and I got these on Amazon and they're like
a really good quality, but I love the color tone of them.
Um, um...
And I'm
woo That was a good save.
It fell right on the branch.
OK, so I'm going to put one further in the tree like
this and then I'm going to follow it up
and then put another ornament like this on the tip.
So you see how I have different dimensions as well.
So I do love that these branches can do that, too.
They allow you just to have a little bit more whimsy to your tree.
Yeah, like that.
As I decorated this tree I really didn't have
a theme that I was going for. I just knew the color
palette that I wanted to stay within
but my theme this year is called the gingerbread edit so it's
gingerbread but more mature timeless and grown up
and in our bedroom I wanted to bring in some
of those gingerbread elements by just the color tone.
I wanted to be able to make sure that each
tree in my home was cohesive
but it didn't have to be on theme it didn't necessarily have to be
Matchy-matchy. I do love things that appear to have its own special,
unique feeling. And within
our bedroom, I just love it to be sophisticated and grown up.
So that was my basis here when I
was going and decorating the tree.
I used some ornaments from last year and again, incorporated
some new ones. And in that particular bulb there or model,
I did get from Hobby Lobby last year,
But these star ornaments, they are just so beautiful.
beautiful they're absolutely perfection you'll
see them come back again on my main tree which
will be in the next coming weeks but i just love them
and i wish i would have gotten way more than
what i
currently
purchased i
knew i wanted
to add a little
bit of shine
and so for me it
was these
bells i used these bells last year
and i just feel like they just pop more in a flock tree than they
have in previous years but it just gave the tree
that a little bit of whimsy that i was looking for
And of course, the tree was not complete without adding
that gingerbread element,
which I have Mr. Claus and Mrs. Claus,
and it just represents Matt and I.
And
definitely
needed
a few more
final
touches.
So we went in with a few more bells and then also I added some ribbon.
I did have these pre tied bows and I just went ahead and wrapped them
on the tips of the tree and I think it came out beautiful.
Let me know in the comments what you guys think.
Now that the tree was done it was time to move on to the mantle.
So I always use some painter's
tape just to protect my surround that Matt built me
and I feel like the command strips are very
like those things are strong
so I always put some painter's tape down before putting the command
strip or command hook and that seems to protect the surround itself
so I don't have to worry
I don't have to worry about it at the end of the season.
Peeling off that command hook and taking the paint with it.
And I usually keep it on there for about an hour or so,
and then I'll come back and add the garland
or anything that I want to hang it with.
I did get this particular garland from Hobby Lobby
and I had it last year.
I only had two and I went ahead and added an additional one this year.
But I like the pre-lit one because it doesn't require me to go back
and have to add any lights.
But for this one, I really wanted them
or wanted the garland to drape on both sides.
Last year, I just had it draping from one side.
And so it really allowed me to have that look
that I wanted by adding some additional garland
and building upon my collection from last year.
Let's just talk about this bell garland that I got from Hobby Lobby.
It's beautiful.
It's a 10 out of 10.
I wish I would have gotten more.
I only purchased four strands.
I used three in my main tree and I had one left over.
And like I said, I wish I would have purchased more
because I did go back to Hobby Lobby
thinking that I'll just be able to pick up some more and it was gone.
Hopefully, I'm praying that they bring it back next year
because I absolutely love it.
I just spent my time just draping it in the garland
and then I go back and then
just kind of have it the green go over
the brown ribbon just to make it look a little bit more
natural. And I also wanted to add some stockings.
I had stockings here last year and I just feel
like it's just cozy and it's nice for Matt
and I just to have two stockings in our bedroom.
I always use some paper that normally your like Amazon
or Target orders or whomever
usually come with some brown packing material
and so I'll usually add that into the stocking
or you can use grocery bags.
I've seen people do that as well just to make it look a little
bit more full as if there are treats in it that the stocking is stuffed.
And also I tried to make it a little bit more festive
and I did the same thing last year.
I added these bells that I bought from Hobby Lobby
and then the same ribbon pre-made bows
that have a clip on the end that I got from West Elm last year
and I absolutely love them.
And I just put them here and hung them
at various heights on the side of the fireplace.
Now
that we
got the
fireplace
together
it was
time
to move
over
to my
mirror.
Now I
have
this
mirror in the corner of my room.
It came from my previous home and I absolutely love it and
I like to decorate it for Christmas
and so I used the same garland and that I had
on the fireplace. Again this is a cedar garland
that's pre-lit from Hobby Lobby. They do sell
it unlit. The pre-lit is you know a little bit more expensive
but again it saves you some time.
And these are the bows that you guys saw me make earlier
and that I decided to go ahead and attach to the garland as well.
Put some bells just to tie in with the fireplace.
All right, guys.
So we're finally at the end.
Finally done with me decorating our bedroom for 2026.
But I absolutely love how it all came together
and I can't wait to show you guys.
So
let
me
know
in
the
comments
and
enjoy
guys.
So like always, please make sure you like, subscribe,
share it with a friend and we'll see you guys next week.
Bye, guys.
