It's like stepping into another universe,
with people dressed as their favorite pop
culture characters, and you just never know who you'll run into.
Comic-Con brings out the creativity in everybody, and nobody
is immune to that feeling of wanting to escape reality right there,
you know, and dress up as their favorite superhero,
movie character, or, of course, comic book villain, yeah.
For three days, people did just that at the RBC Convention Center.
Organizers say more than 30,000 people donned their capes and masks
at this year's event, the sixth time the convention has been held here.
The biggest comparison I draw to is if you're a fan of sports,
you go to see the Winnipeg Jets,
you see them play, you get to cheer on your team, it's the same idea.
We're all pop culture fans and you're coming
and getting together with like-minded people
and it's like our Super Bowl,
it's like our Game 7, it's like our World Series.
Raven Tan has saved up money for months

because everything's around cheaper around this time for me.
Julia and Asia Guile put costumes together of characters
from the anime Frieren: Beyond Journey's End.
Yeah, I love going to the con every year.
It's something I've done for the past probably five or six years.
I've gone to the con and cosplayed,
so it's one of my favorite things I look forward to every year.
It's so fun to wear because it's like, it's not necessarily me,
but it's me as a character that I really like.
And many here are planning on how they
can bring those characters to life
in an even bigger and better way next year.
