Before we start, I just want to say my thoughts
and prayers are with Jack Campbell and his family.
I hate to see that, but I hope he's okay.
A lot of reasons. I mean, I've got to go back and watch it.
But penalties, too many misses.
I don't know the statistics on us running the ball today
or me in the air, but just too much inconsistency.
You know, we didn't execute at a high enough level
in a hostile environment on the road
against a team that is, you know, they're a good team.
So credit to them for, you know, the way they played today.
I thought we had our opportunities
to get it done today, but we just didn't.
Red, perhaps a good rebound that you're seeing,
like a driver perhaps?
What do you mean?
Like the inconsistent play of the offense.
Is there something that you're seeing, like trends in certain ways,
like you're hurried in certain situations,
or something that you feel like you can get over the hump like that?
Yeah, I mean, again, the confidence in the group is not going to waver.
You know, I know we have the guys in the locker room
and on that side of the ball to be the best.
And that's truly how I feel.
Thank you.
But, again, we've got to go out there and do it on Sundays.
And right now that's just not the case.
There's too many, you know, whether it's me or somebody else, you know,
there's too many of my bads and it's not good enough.
And it got us beat today.
Kyler, on the interception, what
was your thought process that were you?
Yeah, I had pressure.
The ball was going to Jets.
Obviously sailed on me.
Didn't think that it was going
to get intercepted, but that's how this game is.
Sometimes it doesn't bounce your way, but that's on me.
Tyler, how frustrating, when you guys are talking about being close,
how frustrating is it that that conversation has been able to slip?
Yeah, I mean, it is frustrating, but at the end of the day,
we were 6-0 before coming into this game.
We're not going to sit here and dwell on the what-ifs and the negatives
and stuff like that because at the end of the day,
it's the NFL and it's hard to win.
And to be 6-0 while we're struggling,
yes, we're going to keep grinding.
And that's just who we are.
Like I said, the confidence in the group has
not wavered once, and it won't.
We lost today, but I know we'll be back better because of it.
You know, it's a little adversity.
So I know the guys in that locker room are built the right way
and the standard that we have in there, it'll show.
Thank you very much.
I don't know what the numbers were, but.
It was more towards that.
Okay, yeah.
Would you have thought at this point
you guys would be able to support that,
or is it just still ongoing, trying to get to the point?
Someone's trying to run the ball, or?
To be ready to support more with passing.
Yeah, again, I.
I really, honestly, I can't.
I got to go back and watch and see how
many times we threw the ball or ran it.
But, you know, again, I think that we got to be better on both sides
or both phases of running and passing it.
Isn't it?
But, yeah, I don't know what the numbers were.
Kyler, just big picture, when you look back on the game,
just how would you evaluate yourself?
How did you feel out there?
Felt good.
Felt good.
You know, I don't think it was good enough today, though.
You know, obviously we lost.
So whatever I can do to be better, I've got to go back and watch it.
And that's how we all grade, you know, ourselves.
We've got to go all look in the mirror.
And I will do that myself.
But it wasn't good enough today.
But as far as how I felt being out there in the game, I felt good.
What did you see on that fourth and five?
I think you guys went for it.
What it's like.
What did you see on that play?
It was man, I want to say TJ and Jess got doubled,
obviously left Jay one on one.
But they got pressure, I didn't really get
to throw it the way I would like to.
Thank you.
But just trying to give Jay a chance in
that moment, obviously it's fourth down,
get the ball up, can't really take a sack.
Thank you.
And so I didn't see the end result, so.
Either way, Justin caught that ball.
Yeah, I mean,
he's up there.
He's up there.
Obviously, he is who he is.
You know, anytime he's one-on-one, it's kind of a no-brainer
to try to give him a chance, you know, at the ball.
So, you know, just thankful that he made a play.
Yeah, I can't imagine that hamstring type of thing.
Did that happen to you at all?
No, I mean, it didn't really come up to it.
Really, we only got one more drive after it happened,
so it wasn't, it didn't really hamper anything today, no.
Do you expect that to be?
No, I mean, we'll go back and look at it and,
you know, obviously do what we need to do.
How would you assess the connection to Justin
when the defense is playing the way they are?
What does it mean to happen for you guys to get on the same team?
Yeah, we've got to find ways to get them the ball.
You know, obviously they're going to double them, and they did today.
Doubled a couple guys today.
Okay.
And that's just part of it.
You know, this is my first year with him,
so obviously KO and, you know,
everybody that's been here understands how
he gets treated and how he gets played.
Thank you, Mr. Chair.
But, yeah, we've got to find ways to get the ball.
Obviously, he's frustrated, and that's understandable.
You know, he is who he is,
and he has every right to feel the way he feels
when he doesn't get the ball.
So, again, that's on us to find ways to get the ball.
Do you feel like you guys are close?
As far as?
Do you think that's what he's got?
Yeah, yeah.
I mean, you feel it out.
Like, I mean, I think we all feel it out there
when it's clicking and the spurts.
But, you know, it's just like it's just the inconsistency of, you know,
can we stack drives on drives on drives?
And, you know, right now we haven't been able to do that.
Do you have any stress since pressuring you?
I think it's just, you know, I think it's understood and,
you know, you know, he's an all pro, you know,
hopefully soon to be Hall of Fame type of guy when he's done,
like, that's just, that's just what it is.
You know, you expect him to be frustrated
when he doesn't get the ball in games like this, in crunch time,
give him opportunity, you know, that's, that's understandable.
Last couple.
Did you get to generally,
I mean, how comfortable?
Yeah, no, I mean, I feel good when I'm out there.
I feel good. You know, every game I feel more comfortable.
But again, you know, as far as today goes, it just wasn't good enough.
Appreciate it.
