PSU Coach Campbell talks about RB Cam Wallace after 135-yard performance
Nov 1, 2026
Last Tuesday and Thursday, you know, in the bye week,
inside runs, some scrimmage opportunities,
and this guy was the shining star.
I said it Wednesday in our team meeting,
I said it Thursday, and then you went out to
practice again on Thursday, and again, he was the shining star.
And, you know, to not be the guy playing.
And then to come out and, like, demand the play and make us play them.
And I said going into Sunday's meeting to our staff,
like, he's going to play.
This guy's earned the right to get on the field.
Even McDaniels, if you saw him tonight, earned the right to play.
He had the same kind of momentum for himself
and had some really great plays.
And that's college football, right?
We get lost and think it's professional, but it's not.
It's 18- to 22-year-olds growing.
And Cam's resiliency.
Who he is, what he's about, I think that is kind of what the spirit of,
like, we need on our football team and need more of.
And, you know, I think it's been really awesome for him
to get rewarded tonight with the game that he had.
And I think he's going to create great momentum
for himself going forward.
But I'm really proud of him and, again, a guy that took advantage
of his opportunity and made the most of it tonight.
