The Great Halloween Sausage Race

All right, welcome back to Weekend Wake-Up. Happy Halloween, everybody. I'm sure for some of you, the Brewers' playoff run was a source of inspiration for your Halloween costumes. And our next guest, they went all in with their costumes. As you can see, they're the famous racing sausages. I love this. This is my favorite costume set, by the way. Good morning. Okay, we're going to have you guys introduce yourselves. Dad, we'll start with you. Mike Drobac. Desmond Drobac. I'm Lincoln Drobac. Charlie Drobac. And I'm Jessica Drobac. Okay, thank you all so much for being here with us. I saw this on social media, and I was like, we've got to get them here in the studio. Okay, obviously we know the inspiration behind the costume, but you guys did this years ago. You guys have been big Brewers fans. Yeah, we did this eight years ago when the Brewers were just shy of the World Series, and the hope was to wear them on Halloween for a World Series game in 2018, but we couldn't beat the Dodgers then, so we held on to the costumes until we could actually make it to the series, and we did it this year. And I know that probably feels... Pretty for me. Oh, it was amazing. Absolutely. What about you, Mom? Yeah, I mean, it's been a long week of celebrating everything Wisconsin and just being together and going to all the watch parties and kind of taking them out of school and just enjoying. Now, did you guys get to wear these at any of the watch parties or any of the events this week? Yeah, we went to AmFam two nights in a row, and we brought this for game three. No, game four. I bet you people wanted to take pictures with you, right? Left and right? Yeah. So cool. Well, you look like the real racing sausages. Hold the mic up a little bit so we can hear you. Um, people were, I think people were just like, oh, look, there's racing sausages. We don't want to take a picture with the real ones, so we'll just take one here because we don't want to wait for the other one. He's like, I'm a celebrity. You're a celebrity. Pretty cool, huh? Now, did it take a long time to make these costumes? Because these are elaborate down to all the little details. It took longer than it should because I have zero artistic ability. I wouldn't say that. I mean, this is a masterpiece. I know. It took a long time. Yeah. Okay, our little racing sausage here. How long ago was it since you've worn this costume? Because I see you're kind of squeezing into yours a little bit. Yeah. Last time when I wore this, I was only one. Really? That's incredible. Hello. OK, what about our number four over here? How excited are you to be racing Sausage for Halloween with the Brewers winning the World Series? I mean, I really love the Brewers, so it's kind of surreal that they won the World Series. And to be wearing these, it's just really cool that we get to be doing this. Yes, and you guys are going to do something cool for us as well. We're going to have a little race in the studio, right, guys? Let's do it. All right, let's do it. OK, I'll take the mic. You guys are going to line up. I love it. Lisa and I are going to do the honors here. Here, you're walking across. Back up a little bit, please. There we go. Hopefully I'm not too far. Oh, perfect. All right. All right. Good job. Like a winner? Now, you guys are going to be wearing these tonight a little bit, right? Because you're going to have lots of people wanting to see you in these costumes. More races to come.
