With stories that matter to you, this is Fox 6 Wake Up News.
How you feeling, man?
This is amazing.
This is awesome.
So much fun.
Nowadays, they play it under the game's brightest lights.
What's it to say?
We'll never forget a moment like this.
Oh, jeez.
Oh, heck no.
Oh, I'm still at Haunted Mini Golf.
Yep, still at Summerfest Grounds.
If you want to get in on this activity, just stay tuned,
because there's a lot that we're going to get into coming up.
Andrew Moose's place.
Too much.
Happy Halloween, everybody.
We're taking a live look outside.
Good morning, Milwaukee, and thank you for waking up with us.
Lisa, those clouds, they're kind of a little spooky looking.
They're a little spooky looking, definitely.
We are going to have a mixture of that trick
and treat in our forecast for today.
So it's not trick or it's a trick and a treat.
It's a trick and a treat.
And, you know, we're going to get more
into our Halloween costumes as well coming up.
You get to take a guess just by what we're wearing right now.
But you don't know until later on.
Come on.
If you're an older person, you might get it.
But, yeah, so here's what we're looking at right now.
Notice we see some of the raindrops on our Kenosha camera.
So there are a few locations.
Precipitation is actually reaching the ground,
but there also is going to be some spots where the rain may
not reach the ground just yet because of dry air in place.
That being said, plan on scattered light showers this morning.
And unfortunately, that will continue as we move into the afternoon
and evening temperatures right now. We're in the low to mid fifties.
We are gradually getting a few degrees warmer as we
are moving into the second hour of wake up right now.
Southerly winds with a little bit of a drop in the low to mid fifties.
We're going to have a little bit of a drop in the low to mid fifties.
We're going to have a little bit of a drop in the low to mid fifties.
We're going to have a little bit of a drop
in the low to mid fifties. We're going to
will inevitably help warm us up in the upper 50s today.
But as we transition into the afternoon, maybe
when you have some of the early trick-or-treating or plans to go to,
you will want to make sure you're weather aware.
Some showers will be with us throughout the day today and they'll
gradually start to diminish as we move into the later evening hours.
So it's not widespread and it's not going to be a washout,
but we will get a treat when it's dry.
It's more of a trick when those showers stay with us.
We're going to break more down hour by hour.
Coming up in just a bit.
It's truly special for me and for all the state of Wisconsin, I think.
I've never had a team
that I've liked ever win anything, so it's pretty cool.
This is absolutely priceless.
Let me hear it, guys.
Let's go, Milwaukee!
And the fans show their love
for the Brew Crew during yesterday's World Series Parade and Rally.
The energy was at an all-time high.
Now, the parade went through the streets of Milwaukee before arriving
at Summerfest Grounds where the championship rally was held.
The Brew Crew got a chance to address fans
who've waited so long for this moment.
They also got to celebrate with the crowd
as they went tarps off for part of the parade route.
Garbs off and you hear the anthem in the background.
Shout out to Foden, the Milwaukee Brewers song.
Hey, they're enjoying it.
The whole, honestly, the whole country
is enjoying that song at this point.
And you can see that on all
of the Milwaukee Brewers championship celebrations that aired on Fox 6.
We have it scheduled on Fox Local and the Fox Local Mobile
to stream starting at 9 a.m. today and tomorrow.
That's four and a half hours of pure joy
to start your weekend days only on Fox Local.
And we are following some breaking news this morning.
Milwaukee police are investigating a shooting
that sent a 7-year-old to the hospital.
NPD says this happened around 1:15 this morning near 41st and Garfield.
They say the 7-year-old was taken
to the hospital where the child received treatment.
NPD says the 16-year-old was arrested in connection to the shooting
and charges will be referred to the county DA's office.
Right now, the Milwaukee Police Department is reminding people
to keep firearms secure and away from children.
I'm Jesse from the newsroom,
Hoagland Lawrence Police released new videos
showing the arrest of Packers star running back
Josh Jacobs.
Jacobs has been convicted and fined
in a misdemeanor battery case
stemming from an altercation he had
with an ex-girlfriend back in May.
Prosecutors say Jacobs and his girlfriend
got into an argument that ended with him
throwing her on the ground.
Jacobs missed the first six games of the season
after being placed on the commissioner's exempt list,
Though he has since been
It's been reinstated and still become a weekend wake up love
for the brewers meets love for Halloween.
One family celebrates the brew crew with their racing sausages costume.
They're going to be joining us live in the studio.
See ya.
I don't know what this guy
is talking about.
Let's just get right back into mini-golf.
We have more from Haunted Mini-Golf here at Summerfest Grounds.
You won't want to miss it.
All the details coming up.
Thank you.
Thank you.
You're watching Weather First
with meteorologist
Lisa Michaels.
Well, we've had snow on Halloween before, and this was back in 2019.
Record snow, in fact, fell in Milwaukee.
And not too long after that, back in 2023,
we had a Halloween that looked like this.
Of course, didn't stop trick-or-treaters
from going out, despite the fact that the
ground was a little slippery, it was cold, and we had snow.
But snow, again, can occur as we move into October.
Halloween snow stats, the record,
of course, back in 2019 was 5.4 inches.
The past couple years, we've had nothing,
and even though we had 3.3 inches back in 2023,
the two years prior to that had nothing as well.
So today, we are not looking at having snow in the forecast.
However, we are looking at having precipitation still come,
but in the form of a liquid rather than a solid.
Scattered showers are with us right now, and we could incorporate more
of this by the trick-or-treat hours later on today and into tonight.
We're going to break down more on.
On that and my full forecast coming up in just a few.
All right.
She's going to throw a little magic in that forecast.
Thanks, Lisa.
Time now for Adopt-A-Pet.
Sarah McGuire from the Wisconsin Humane
Society joins us live in the studio.
We want to talk about our pet of the week.
Felicia. Felicia. You're so tiny. She is.
She's so sweet. Yeah, she's like, I don't know what's
going on. This lady picked me up today
and dressed me and all this stuff. No, she's a
sweetheart. She's just three months old and she weighs just two pounds.
Yeah. So she's obviously
very sweet, incredibly soft coat and beautiful.
She has been spayed and microchipped and vaccinated
And Felicia is available for adoption today.
Today at our Milwaukee campus, and we open at 10 a.m.
And I love her little Halloween-themed handkerchief.
Her little handkerchief, yeah.
I know, it's so cute.
Okay, you also know, it's Halloween,
we've got to talk about pet safety.
What tips do you have?
Because there are going to be some people that are
going to give you some extra knocks on the door.
And maybe you're a little timid like Felicia.
Absolutely, yeah.
It's so easy to get caught up in all the excitement of Halloween.
But if you do have pets at home,
it's important to kind of keep them in mind.
You know, they may not...
Be too comfortable with costumes or anything.
So if you do want to put one on your pet,
you want to make sure that they can see and hear
and move around okay and breathe, of course.
So their comfort is number one.
Very important, the candy.
You've got to worry about that candy with your animals.
It is chocolate, and candy is toxic to animals.
So you want to keep them separate.
If you do think your pet's gotten into the candy,
you want to call your vet.
I guess I didn't even think about that.
Oh, yeah.
Yeah, very.
Not a good thing, so yeah.
You know, some...
Put it up high, or I guess they can,
like, where should they be storing?
Well, I think certainly if you have
a dog, putting it up high will do it.
You know, sometimes cats can get all over the place,
so you might want to lock it away if you do have a cat at home.
Thank you.
But yeah, so costumes.
Not the ones we're putting on them,
but they can be scary sometimes if the people are walking
around in costumes. So maybe you don't want to take your dog trick
or treating. Maybe they're
more comfortable staying at home in a comfortable,
safe room and, you know, will be nice and relaxed
when you get home.
And yeah, so just very important that you're thinking of them first,
really, during all this exciting time.
And if you are staying home passing out candy,
Thank you, Andy.
Got to make sure that maybe they don't sneak out that front door
unexpectedly, but just in case they do, make sure they have
their ID tag on and make sure that their microchip is up to date.
Well, thank you so much.
Great advice as always as we prepare to celebrate Halloween.
And one more final look here at Felicia.
She is available for adoption at the Milwaukee campus.
Go bring her home.
She needs one.
Thank you so much, Sarah.
Lisa, what's going on outside?
We need our Halloween forecast.
I know you said it's a little trick and treat.
What's the timeline looking like?
Well, that's the big question, right?
We are starting to have some scattered showers move in right now.
But the treat is that it's not going to be a washout or wet all day.
The trick part, though,
is when do those showers show up where you live?
And that's going to be the underlying thing,
which we're hopefully able to.
Breakdown. We are seeing, yes, a lot of clouds out there right now and
maybe a little bit of light to where some of those clouds are thinner.
But don't expect a lot of sunshine to late today like yesterday.
If you are going to be heading out, well, of course,
we're going to compare it to our typical Halloween statistics.
We are looking a little bit better this year in some ways.
Normally on Halloween, we have a high temperature of 53 degrees
and a low of 39. We're going to be way warmer than that.
In fact, 10 morning temperatures now
are already above our typical high for Halloween.
We are not going to be as warm as the warmest
which was 80 degrees set back in 1950 and about 47%
of the time we have some sort of precipitation on Halloween and we
are going to be within that 47% as precipitation will be with us today.
A couple of scattered light showers are moving through.
We've had some reports near Kenosha.
Again, there will be some sporadic areas early in this event where
the rain doesn't reach the ground, but don't be shocked if you
have some raindrops or a light shower and then that just moves on.
This is going to be the story of the day today.
More light activity this morning.
In fact, we could see some breaks as well.
But more moisture is going to be moving in from the southwest of us.
So that will bring us additional chances
for some rain throughout the afternoon.
As we break this down on Sky Vision Plus,
again, plan on maybe some additional rain
as we move closer to the noon hour today into the early afternoon.
And in fact, the earlier you go out trick-or-treating,
the better likelihood you have of maybe encountering some of those showers
So for the little kids who probably go out earlier,
the rain boots wouldn't be a bad idea to make sure
that they don't have muddy feet when they're coming back
in the house trying to unravel all the candy they got.
But the later on you head out tonight,
we will start to gradually diminish the rain in the forecast.
So looking to be a little bit drier late tonight and drier into Sunday.
The second half of the weekend is looking a lot better
forecast wise before we start to spread out more daily chances
of rain in the forecast heading into next week.
Temperatures right now, low to mid 50s.
Again, it's mild and we'll be getting into the upper 50s,
maybe an isolated low 60 degree today. Above average, as I mentioned,
and we'll have more mild temperatures to come for the rest of the week.
More showers as well heading into next week.
And the one thing to remember,
we'll talk more about it in just a few, but.
As you go to bed tonight, you want to turn your clocks back one hour.
We fall back since daylight saving time ends
at 2 o'clock Sunday morning.
Also, great ideas, not only changing all the batteries in your clocks,
but also your smoke detectors.
It's a good time to do so.
All right. Thanks for the advice, Lisa. Time now 8:16.
We're going to take you back out to Henry
Mayo Festival Park for a spectacular day of haunted mini golf.
Andrew Muzo is there now
to break down all of the fun in store for today. Good morning, Muzo.
Good morning. Definitely a turn of events here at Summerfest.
Yesterday, we were talking all things Brewers.
Now, we're talking all things Haunted Mini Golf.
Here's one by Mr. Mark Romberg of Bars and Rec.
You guys have been busy putting this together.
I do know that today is the last day for Haunted Mini Golf.
People want to come down here.
That's right. Again, we're open 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. You can come.
You can bring the kids. Actually, they're...
The playground is kind of right over there on the Summerfest grounds.
You know, not literally that skeleton,
but you know what I mean, I'm gesturing.
So yeah, it's a good sort of family fun day
for Halloween if you're feeling it.
It's also a good sort of nighttime, coming to costume.
You know, we have like a VIP experience.
We call it the RIP experience.
You get a private bar, you get like a custom cup and stuff like that.
It's fun, it's fun.
Awesome. This is, of course,
Boom.
That's right.
OK.
Because earlier this morning we were in the other course.
Yeah.
Let's walk through some of the stations here and start off
in one.
I'll let you take the lead and sort of point us through here.
Here we've got a very spooky tunnel.
Now you see in the daytime, it does just kind of read
like a bunch of plastic and stuff like that.
But there's a ghost in here.
Oh, honey.
Oh.
Dang.
Hit me in the head.
But at the nighttime, it gets very vibey and creepy.
Yeah.
Like a nice vibe or like a...
Like a spooky vibe.
Oh, I kind of like this one.
Yeah, got a big old shark.
This one's more tame.
Mm-hmm.
Shark tank.
That's right.
What's going on in here?
It's just shark attack?
Shark attack sort of vibe.
You know, you kind of start your little putt,
goes under this kind of tiki bar,
and comes out the other side.
Okay, okay, and I think you said there was supposed
to be like a stingray or something like that.
Oh my gosh, yes, for the Brewers win yesterday,
we bought like a stuffed stingray and put it in the shark's mouth.
I don't know where it ended up, somebody maybe took it yesterday,
but it was a fun little prop to have.
Okay, and then what's around,
is there something else around this corner here?
Oh yeah, there's a final hole, I guess you can see it.
Let's see what we got here.
This is the kind of crashed out hole, we got stop signs and zombies
and stuff like that, and caution tape like you wouldn't believe.
Wow.
And what are the hours that people should know about,
as far as when this is open, how
long is it open for?
Yeah, again, it opens 10 a.m., closes 10 p.m.
Daylight hours is family-friendly here.
Again, we say page 13.
Family-friendly, okay.
But suffice to say, we don't have, you know,
any sort of creatures kind of rumbling around
our courses.
Okay, okay.
Nighttime comes around.
You know, creatures come out of their crypts,
it gets real spooky, you might see, I don't
know, somebody kind of jumping out of a corner and grabbing you.
Yeah, just, just, okay.
Hey!
All right, well, I know what time I will
be attending and not attending.
Yeah, exactly.
For myself.
Anyway, we have plenty more to highlight here at Haunted Mini Golf.
You can wake up, we'll be right back.
Welcome back to Weekend Wake-Up.
Happy Halloween, everybody.
I'm sure for some of you, the Brewers' playoff run
was a source of inspiration for your Halloween costumes.
And our next guest, they went all in with their costumes.
As you can see, they're the famous racing sausages.
I love those.
This is my favorite costume set, by the way.
Good morning.
Good morning.
Okay, we're going to have you guys introduce yourselves.
Dad, we'll start with you.
Mike Drobac.
Desmond Drobac.
I'm Lincoln Drobac.
Charlie Drobac.
And I'm Jessica Drobac.
Okay, thank you all so much for being here with us.
I saw this on social media and I was like,
we got to get them here in the studio.
Okay, obviously we know the inspiration behind the costume,
but you guys did this years ago.
You guys have been big Brewers fans.
Yeah, we did this eight years ago
when the Brewers were just shy of the World Series.
And the hope was to wear them on Halloween
for a World Series game in 2018.
But we couldn't beat the Dodgers then, so we held on to the costumes
until we could actually make it to the series, and we did it this year.
And I know that probably feels pretty for you.
Oh, it was amazing. Absolutely.
Absolutely.
What about you, Mom?
Yeah, I mean, it's been a long week of celebrating everything Wisconsin
and just being together and going to all the watch parties
and kind of taking them out of school and just enjoying.
Now, did you guys get to wear these at any of the watch parties
or any of the events this week?
Yeah, we went to AmFam two nights in a row,
and we brought this for game three, no, game four.
I bet you people wanted to take
pictures with you, right? Left and right?
Yeah.
So cool.
Well, you look like the real racing sausages.
Hold the mic up a little bit so we can hear you.
Um, the...
People were, I think people were just like,
oh, look, there's racing sausages.
We don't want to take a picture with the real ones, so we'll just
take one here because we don't want to wait for the other one.
You're a celebrity.
Pretty cool, huh?
Now, did it take a long time to make these costumes?
Because these are elaborate down to all the little details.
It took longer than it should because I have zero artistic ability.
I wouldn't say that. I mean, this is a masterpiece.
I know!
It took a long time. Yeah.
Okay, our little racing sausage here.
How long ago was it since you've worn this costume?
Because I see you're kind of squeezing into yours a little bit.
Yeah. Last time when I wore this, I was only one.
Really? That's incredible.
Look at the hook.
OK, what about our number four over here?
How excited are you to be racing Sausage for Halloween
with the Brewers winning the World Series?
I mean, I really love the Brewers,
so it's kind of surreal that they won the World Series.
And to be wearing these, it's just really cool
that we get to be doing this.
Yes, and you guys are going to do something cool for us
as well.
We're going to have a little race in the studio, right, guys?
Let's do it.
All right, let's do it.
OK, I'll take the mic.
You guys are going to line up.
I love it.
Lisa and I are going to do the honors here.
Here, you're walking across.
There we go.
Hopefully I'm not too far.
All right.
Should we go farther or is this good?
I think this is good.
Oh, we can go a little further.
The producer says we can go a little further.
All right.
All right.
One, three, two, one, go.
Good
job.
Like a winner?
You guys are going to be wearing these tonight a little bit, right?
Because you're going to have lots
of people wanting to see you in these costumes.
More races to come.
Awesome.
All right.
Thank you guys for joining us.
Thanks for coming.
This is great.
We'll be right back.
With stories that matter to you, this is Fox 6 Wake Up News.
Well, thanks for waking up with us.
We are taking a look at the weather.
It's a little bit of a trick and treat forecast today.
Just depending on when you go out outside right now,
it is very cloudy. So keep that in mind.
But temperatures are still warming a couple degrees.
Mid 50s were already warmer than the typical high temperature
on October 55 in Milwaukee, Kenosha and 54 in Waukesha, Watertown.
The clouds are going to remain thick throughout the day today.
Just keep that in mind.
And at times they may even bring us some scattered showers.
We'll break more down on that coming up.
The one thing to remember is tomorrow morning at 2
Two o'clock daylight saving time officially ends.
So that means we are going to fall back,
moving the clocks back one hour.
So technically, you gain an extra hour to celebrate Halloween.
However, you want to make sure
that you're waking up at the right time tomorrow.
We are going to continue to want to change not only the batteries
and all the clocks in your house you may have,
but the batteries as well and your smoke detectors.
Tonight, the sun will set at 544, but tomorrow, oh, that sun sets.
In the 4 o'clock hour, 4.43, a lot earlier for our darkness to arrive.
We're going to talk more about the forecast,
though, heading into a brand new month.
Coming up, how are you feeling today?
I'm just really grateful, you know.
It's really grateful to have such great people come out
and bring everybody together in the community, you know.
That's what's great about team sports, you know what I mean.
That's the excitement of all.
And as people on the field, you just don't realize it sometimes
until you get them all together like this.
It's amazing.
Did you ever think this day would come?
I mean, this city has been waiting.
You see the hats coming.
44 years.
Thank you, guys.
Thank you.
I'm just happy for the people of Milwaukee and state of Wisconsin,
you know, I'm just I'm lucky. I feel very lucky
Historic day for the city of Milwaukee.
Really, the entire state fans stood shoulder to shoulder
showing their love and support for the Milwaukee Brewers
as they celebrated their World Series win.
The rally was also a merging of generations.
Not only did we hear from the current players and managers,
but also from some of the Brewers players
who were in the 1982 World Series.
Even after the crew fell short in Game 7 with the Cardinals,
the city still held a parade for the team.
I know it's been 44 years, I know back
in 82 we had a chance, but these guys, you guys
are amazing.
I spent 17 years in the bullpen,
and this is one bad bullpen.
Thank you.
Quite the celebration. Of course, a big theme throughout the day
was remembering people who never got to see the Brewers win it all.
And while Bob Uecker passed away in 2025,
Mr. Baseball was there in spirit.
Uecker was honored at the rally with his family in attendance.
Let's acknowledge, he mentioned the Selig family,
they are here with us.
There's no baseball in Milwaukee without Bud Selig.
Thank you, Wendy, the whole family.
Yes, feel that love, Comish.
We are in the presence of the family of Bob Uecker.
They are all here. Sue, Judy,
Bob Jr. Thank you guys so much for being here.
Of course, to close out the celebration,
there was a special moment referencing Bob Uecker.
Robin Yelch rode on the stage on Uecker's motorcycle.
It recreates an iconic moment from the 1982 World Series
when he rode his Harley inside the Old County Stadium.
Earlier in the day, Yelch talked about how he knew Uecker
was still cheering on the Brew Crew.
We didn't lose you. He's here. He's here.
I know he's here. I threw out the first pitch.
I felt him all over me.
Why do you think that pitch went just a bit outside?
Yelch was referring to Game 1 of the World Series
when he threw out the first pitch, donning a plaid jacket.
He pointed up to the Uecker Tribute in the back of the ballpark.
We also saw our own Ted Perry yesterday with his plaid blazer as well.
You can see the complete Milwaukee Brewers championship celebration
that aired on Fox 6.
We have it scheduled on Fox Local
and Fox Local Mobile to start streaming at 9 a.m. today and tomorrow.
That's four and a half hours of just pure joy,
happiness and celebration to start your weekend days only on Fox Local.
And after the break, a preview to a night of the best foods
and drinks Milwaukee has to offer.
Bucky Bars and Rec is turning mini golf
into a true thriller here at Summerfest.
We have everything you need to know about haunted mini golf here
on the other side of the break.
We'll be right back.
You're watching Weather First with meteorologist Lisa Michaels.
Happy Saturday. Happy Halloween.
We're waking up to a little more cloud cover today.
Not looking as bright and sunny as what we had yesterday,
but temperatures are warmer.
Yesterday, we had some of the 40s in the morning.
Now we're in the mid-50s.
Dewpoint also is rising a little bit,
so as some scattered showers and moisture moves in,
that rain will eventually reach the ground.
We're going to talk more about the shower potential coming up,
but one thing you need to note,
southeasterly winds, 5 to 10 miles an hour,
will continue to help our temperatures warm throughout the day.
Today, despite the fact that the clouds are around,
we are anywhere from 11 to 16
and 17 degrees warmer than yesterday morning at this time.
So it feels a little bit nicer to step outside.
Still think you might need a light jacket.
And for today's forecast,
we are going to be talking about the chance of a couple showers
in the forecast that will be with us during the afternoon.
More on that coming up.
Andrew was quite the ladies man as you can see.
He had a lot of fun on Wake Up Yesterday getting you ready
for the Brewers Championship Rally.
Today he's back at Henry Meyer Festival Park
for some haunted mini golf fun. Good morning Andrew.
Good morning, good morning.
As soon as I heard that, I was like,
I know exactly when that was yesterday morning.
There's sort of a turn of events here,
joined again by Mr. Mark Romberg, from Bars and Rec,
because we're here at Summerfest.
Yesterday was all things Brewers,
now we're here highlighting
Haunted mini golf.
That's right.
Like on the big screen it says.
There you go.
With the stage set and everything.
What would you say is the big thing or the
biggest thing that people should know about
this?
Would it be that it's the last day?
Yeah.
It's Halloween.
No better time than to come down and celebrate
the last day we have of our haunted mini golf
down here at the Summerfest Grounds.
Yeah.
Parking, all those things, what should people know about?
So we're open at 10 a.m. today.
We close at 10 p.m.
That's kind of our last round of reservations basically.
You can go to our website
or to Milwaukee World Festival's website to get tickets.
That's kind of where you want to book that.
Or I think you can walk up and buy tickets too.
Bring the kids during daytime hours.
It can be a spooky little fun.
And then if you want to,
there's a playground right outside of the footprint here.
So that's a very easy family fun day.
Nighttime hours gets actual spooky.
You have, you know, creeps and crawlers coming around each course,
jumping out at you, spooking you, that sort of thing.
So, again, a very fun sort of Halloween vibe later in the evening,
a very easy family fun day earlier in the day, and it's free
parking over at, yeah, I think Lot G, I want to say, over there.
Okay, cannot complain about that.
And aside from mini golf, there's also some other things that sort
of talked about earlier you want to reiterate as far as like the...
RIP area?
That's right.
Not VIP area.
RIP.
No, it's not a VIP.
It's an RIP area.
It's a little private bar we got over to the side over there.
You get a fun souvenir cup that has a little skull face on it
and lights up and everything
like that.
Okay.
Okay.
And yeah, you get an access to a private lounge.
It's a much more relaxed and I might even say
a slightly adult version of the Haunted
Golf experience.
Okay.
Um, music options?
DJs?
No, we have live DJs here pretty much every night.
I guess there is a stage.
I know, there's a stage.
We got, they got a booth.
They're spinning all kinds of haunted hits and whatnot.
It's a fun vibe.
Yeah.
Awesome.
And I know that even with this setup here,
typically Summerfest, you think of, of course,
it's summer.
Naturally.
It's the city of festivals.
So there's so much going on.
But usually there's not a whole lot going
on on Summerfest grounds in the fall time.
We've been able to really extend the season.
Yeah.
So how has that been, you know, from your perspective,
seeing people come down here, enjoy what you guys have,
because typically the setup isn't even here, right?
I know. Again, like two weeks ago, this was empty.
We set all this up in the past couple of weeks. It's been really fun.
Again, as you say, like, you don't think of Summerfest in late October.
Yeah, I know.
And I mean, this is...
Brewers aside, a pretty banner year for Summerfest in late October,
but still, like, this has been so cool to see people come out,
have a spooky time with us, and just kind of enjoy the space
that we have here right here on the lakefront, you know?
Yeah, you did tell me. It got super busy yesterday,
a lot of funny stories.
It was a little crazy, yeah.
Took a little bit.
Gonna remember that forever, yeah.
Of course, yeah.
Definitely, you should come down here.
It's the last day.
It's Halloween, as Mark said.
Why not?
You know what I mean?
So, of course, make sure you're picking
the right time frame to come down here,
especially if you have kids or whatnot,
or if you're just bringing a scaredy cat like me.
Maybe you just want to go during the daytime.
But a whole lot going on here.
Summerfest is still alive and well here during the holiday season,
this Halloween season, last day of the Haunting Mini Golf for you.
Okay, Andrew, you didn't tell us your costume.
What are you going to be?
A scaredy cat?
Okay. I was thinking about running it back because last year I
was not Troy Bolton, but I was Chad Danforth from High School Musical.
So maybe I run that back. I was also thinking like a 90s jumpsuit.
Still sticking through that. I know it's the day of Halloween.
So I'm going to make, I have options. Okay. I got some options.
That's the biggest thing. I don't want to go anything boring though.
You know, like sports or church.
I don't want to do that. That's a little boring.
Okay.
All right. Okay. There are going to be a lot of Ms's today.
There are a lot of Brewers players. All right. Thanks, Andrew.
It is true.
I love your costume.
It's an easy costume.
Yeah, we're going to get into what our costumes are coming up.
Again, just part of it.
But weather forecast, we keep talking about.
It's nice at times, but it's the rain
that we're going to have to watch out for.
Here's my trouble.
Am I?
It might put some in trouble.
And our partiers, too,
because there are going to be a lot of people going outside.
A lot of people are still celebrating the Brewers' win.
Yes, we have American Family Field roof open right now.
Not seeing as much of a threat of rain in this location,
but we will still have some scattered showers continuing.
Continuing through the day today and even into tonight.
Some of that has again continued to move over the lake right now.
Again, not everything is initially reaching the ground this morning,
but we are starting to saturate the air from the cloud down
to the surface. What that really means is there is going
to be more chances in the upcoming hours of rain reaching the ground.
So make sure you have the handy dandy umbrella today.
There looks to be a little bit of dry time before
the next round of showers will be moving in.
But we are going to have to watch the timing of this because,
again, scattered is the key word here.
I can't give you an exact time of when it will impact your
house. However, as we look at Sky Vision Plus,
I can show you a better trend of when more showers may
be moving through as we continue through the day today,
especially heading after 11 o'clock until the early afternoon.
That's when we have the better chance of showers to be moving through
at times. So for some of the younger kids that may be out trick
or treating a little bit earlier today, that will be one
of the time frames where they'll either maybe need to run around
in a poncho, put on some rain boots or maybe have the umbrella.
Again, not a washout and it's not going to be a good idea.
be very heavy rain, but of course it's not the best, right?
When you got to wear your fun costume,
especially if there's some raindrops falling.
Now, the further you are heading out tonight,
or maybe if you stay out later,
we are looking at diminishing the rain so that it will start
to dwindle down later on into this evening and early tomorrow morning.
The rain will eventually be gone tomorrow.
I wish we had tomorrow's forecast for today,
but while we are seeing a little bit of showers and clouds today,
the sunshine will be back for
Sunday. We have temperatures in the low
to mid 50s right now should be warming up despite the
fact the clouds are around to the upper 50s
with an isolated 60 degrees possible. By the time kids
may be heading out trick-or-treating, temperatures are mild.
Upper 50s early on to the mid 50s
As we start to round up from 8 o'clock to 10 o'clock.
Tonight, so it's not necessarily the chill. That's the impact today. It
is just going to be some of the scattered showers that will be with us.
The other thing we are watching as we move through today is.
You fall back an hour. Yes, we're actually going to gain
an extra hour today to enjoy your Halloween forecast because
daylight saving time officially ends at two o'clock tomorrow morning.
If you are going to be going to bed early,
you want to make sure you're waking up at the right time tomorrow.
So make sure again you change all the batteries in your clocks locally.
You also want to change the batteries in your smoke detectors.
We will have a great forecast for the first day of November,
but the first week in November.
A little dicey, not necessarily the best.
We will have daily chances of showers with us,
but temperatures still above average.
All right.
We knew it was coming.
Yeah.
Well, time now, 8:47, talking about the fester on Halloween.
Sounds a little bit scary, but as our next guest will tell us,
something not so scary is coming up.
The Vince Lombardi Cancer Foundation is having
their annual food and wine experience.
And here to talk about it, we have Anne-Marie Moss
and Amanda West in the studio with us this morning.
Good morning.
Good morning.
Good morning.
So tell us what you guys have.
have whipping up in the kitchen and more about
this event that you're going to be hosting.
Absolutely. So today I'm going to demo a tortilla Española.
I just got back from three weeks in
Spain. So I'm highly inspired. Yeah.
I only came back for the Vince Lombardi Foundation. Yeah.
That's why. Yeah. Otherwise I was going to stay.
Yeah. I love you guys. Yeah. So yeah,
I'm just sautéing some or like slowly like roasting some onions
and potatoes and olive oil
and some smoked paprika.
And you just really want that to come up to temp and get nice,
Amanda is one of our fabulous partners
that comes together every year to raise funds for cancer research
and treatment programs through the Vince Marty Cancer Foundation.
So all the ticket purchases go towards our mission,
which is working to prevent cancer,
provide superior patient care, and ultimately find a cure.
So we're grateful to Amanda and many others.
There's a whole list of incredible partners, both restaurants.
wineries, distilleries, breweries
that are going to be on site with us
this coming Friday, November 6th
at the Pfister Hotel that you mentioned.
We have tickets still available
through November 5th. Okay, that is important.
Give us that ticket information
and where people can find it as well.
So tickets are available on our website at lombardyfoundation.org.
You can learn more about the programs
that are funded with the benefits of our ticket
sales, as well as more about our events throughout the year.
We were so thrilled to recognize the Milwaukee Brewers.
Celebrate all things.
With our award of excellence in March.
And so that'll be the next event coming up.
You can learn more about that and other things.
And we just love celebrating all things Milwaukee
and especially our culinary scene
with this food and wine event.
It's really a beloved thing.
There's VIP tickets to elevate your experience.
Oh, yeah.
That's an elevated experience.
Yes.
So there's an exclusive lounge.
And VIP guests also have access to our afterglow.
And then can I tell you about the other new thing?
Yes, of course.
So this year we're introducing Asaki's Speakeasy.
So we're really excited to welcome in Ruby Sushi.
I know, right?
Can we partake in that?
I'm starting to speak now.
This is an important cause.
Also, Amanda, what you're doing here,
you're one of the many vendors that will be there.
What exactly can people expect from you
when they stop by and they see you?
When they stop by me,
we're actually going to be doing charcuterie skewers.
So we're going to have vegetarian ones.
They're going to be mainly cheese and vegetables
and or fruit on there.
And then we'll also have a classic charcuterie skewer as well,
laying on a bed of gorgeous raw honey.
And it's going to be fantastic.
Oh, that sounds incredible.
So how does this pairing work between the food aspect
and the drink aspect?
How did you come up with this, and what's the inspiration?
Oh, so we have the great...
fortune of being supported
by the hospitality community here in Milwaukee.
So a group of volunteers came together 23 years ago
and recruited their partners throughout
the city and the country.
We have some international wineries now that are represented.
I was going to say, there's some special brand partners.
Yes, exactly.
So featured in our VIP Lexus lounge is Kerr Cellars,
Christie Kerr, the legendary golfer
will be with us in person, as well as Bacchus,
the Bartolotta restaurant, highlighted in
that VIP experience, Brio.
We all love that elevated experience.
And the pairing really was birthed out of that.
So we set up, each station has a food and a wine partner,
and you go through, it's a takeover of the seventh floor.
So two ballrooms full of food and wine partners,
as well as our lounge,
and then we're introducing a third space this year.
So it really is.
Quite the experience.
You do not leave hungry, I promise.
And what does it mean for you to be a part of this?
As you say, you've done this before.
Now it's my third year.
This is a part of you.
It means everything to me.
I also, I lost my mother to breast cancer.
So it's very near and dear to my heart to be able
to be a part of something so wonderful
and such a great cause.
And so it's a way to keep her spirit alive for me.
Le Monnier was birthed out of our time
in the kitchen together and created in honor of her
and keeping that memory alive.
And so it just means everything to be part
of something so much bigger than me.
to be connected with people and provide an
I do what I love and I always serve my heart
on a plate and that's what I get to do.
You know?
Yeah, absolutely.
And it smells amazing.
Thank you.
I know there's a lot of product you want to show us here.
Yes, absolutely.
So Tortilla Española, as my client the other day said,
it's like a potato upside down cake.
So it's gorgeous and delicious.
I like to top mine with a little bit of scallion,
a little bit of cilantro because we love color,
right?
We also love a little bit of freshness, but those gorgeous just...
Oh my gosh, roasted potatoes and olive oil.
I would never be able to get this out of the pan
to make this.
All right, low and slow is the key.
Low and slow is the key.
So we slow roasted the onions for about 40 minutes,
add those potatoes for another 25,
and then we let those eggs come up to temperature as well,
and then we flip it onto the plate, and that's what you get.
All right, thank you both so much for being here.
Thank you, absolutely.
Thank you for having us.
And is there a deadline to get tickets?
You can buy them through this Thursday, November 5th,
at LombardiFoundation.org.
We're so excited.
Thank you so much for our fix.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
At least we got your final forecast on the other side of the break.
Hopefully nothing too spooky.
Thank you.
We'll find out.
Yeah.
We'll take one last look at your trick
or treat forecast against scattered showers could be with us tonight.
So just keep that in mind. Be prepared.
Otherwise, temperatures mild starting off in the upper fifties
and cooling to the mid fifties by nine and 10 o'clock.
Don't forget to turn your clocks back one hour tonight.
Yes, we have the time change. You actually gain an hour.
Then we have sunshine tomorrow and rain.
And honestly, this is probably the spookiest part of Halloween.
How are you?
We're losing an hour.
All right, we're also taking a live look over to Wade Bigsfield.
The Wisconsin Badgers are going to take over the Hawkeyes.
Big noon kickoff is next.
